De Facto Martial Law Declared Ahead Of Hurricane: Virgin Islands Authorizes National Guard To Confiscate Guns, Property And Supplies

With the devastation of Harvey still fresh in the public’s memory, stores in southern Florida are already running out of necessities like bottled water, and the Mayor of Miami is telling reporters to expect an evacuation order on Wednesday. But outside of the US mainland, the US Virgin Islands, which has activated the national guard as the storm approaches. However, Mapp’s order differed from the order signed by Texas Gov. Mike Abbott with one concerning twist: guardsmen can “appropriate” guns, ammunition, explosives and property needed to respond to Hurricane Irma. The order was signed by Virgin Islands Gov. Kenneth Mapp on Monday.

Irma’s eye is expected to pass just north of the heart of the U.S. Virgin Islands on Wednesday and bring four to eight inches or rain and 60-mile-per-hour wind gusts, though the gusts in the most powerful areas of the storm have been as fast as 185 mph, the Daily Caller reported.

Mapp signed the order Monday in preparation for Hurricane Irma. It allows the Adjutant General of the Virgin Islands to seize private property they believe necessary to protect the islands, subject to approval by the territory’s Justice Department. Mapp issued an emergency declaration Tuesday and mobilized National Guard units to prepare for the massive storm.

“This is not an opportunity to go outside and try to have fun with a hurricane,” Mapp said. “It’s not time to get on a surfboard.”

Because of its location in the middle of the Pacific, it’s understandable that the Virgin Islands would need to take extraordinary measures to ensure its response to the storm is successful. However, the order too closely resembles an expansion of US civil asset forfeiture powers adopted by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Civil asset forfeiture, which allows police to seize property that is suspected to have been obtained using illegally obtained funds, is essentially another way in which the state transfers wealth from citizens to its own coffers.

To be sure, both Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló have declared states of emergencies in anticipation of Irma.

And while the forecasts are looking more terrifying by the day, as meteorologists have repeatedly cautioned, weather forecasting is inexact. It’s entirely possible that Florida may not see a single drop of rain.  And if the storm passes without incident, how will the Virgin Islands ensure that all the seized property is returned?

THE NEW FLORIDA LAW SAYS: During a Hurricane evacuation, anyone over 18 and a Non-Felon can carry a loaded weapon. Lets see how this goes. But it is only in the evacuation period and you are in the middle of your evacuation travels to your destination. Otherwise you need a permit to carry. I bet there will be a lot of dead looters washing up when the storm is over. Triple 000 Buckshot in your face, will be your first clue if you loot anything from me. Its game over for you pale.

HUH??? Who the F@ck are you kidding Tyler Durden. Another Fiction Writer. Look at the tracking map jackass. We are facing at least 10 inches of rain and winds up to 185 MPH and lots of flooding guarenteed. Its going to be non stop rain for at least 3 to 4 days in a row starting this Saturday through next Wed- Thurs.

            • CrackSummSkulls says:

Its raining already this Morning in my part of Florida. We are preparing in the rain without a minite to spare. I still need to anchor 2 buildings down. Looks like I will be using chains I have on hand between the building and ground anchors. Lowes is out of heavy duty cable. Glad to have prepared last year with all sorts of bolts nuts washers ect. So i dont have to chase around now for this. We are F@cked. And dead on in the center path of this Hurricane.

The word “property” can refer to many things.

Officials in the U.S. confiscated guns in New Orleans after Katrina. As I recall, this “plan” didn’t work out well. Many law abiding citizens turned in their guns and were later victimized by outlaws – robbed, attacked, etc. Outlaws (and patriots) did not turn in their guns.

If armed people come later for peoples food, how will defenseless people stop them?

            Remember this…
Gun Confiscation in New Orleans after Katrina
“The disorder of the storm’s aftermath – and the inability of local law enforcement to contain it – brought into stark realization the importance of the right to keep and bear arms in order to provide for the defense of oneself, loved ones, and community.

Stories of looting and violence abounded. A police chief described post-Katrina New Orleans by stating, “it was like Mogadishu.”

“Despite their inability to cope with the resulting mayhem, several days after the storm passed New Orleans officials ordered the confiscation of lawfully-owned firearms from city residents.”
            ht tp://

“New Orleans residents lost gun rights after Katrina
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, police in New Orleans confiscated thousands of guns from residents in an effort to keep guns out of the hands of anyone who wasn’t law enforcement.

There were vans with thugs in them. They were breaking into any businesses where there was no sign of anyone around in them.”

“The armed populace keeps the government in check. The government should not be in charge of the populous. The populace should run the government, and whenever the government has the guns and the populace doesn’t have the guns, the government does what it wants.”

The way the order is written, it could be read as a means to gear up for a coup of sorts, which would not do them any good. There is unlikely any need to “defend the islands” from anyone, except the random retarded looters. But, who knows…?

It’s not a state, and its “US citizens” are weirdly not US citizens. It’ll blow your mind.

Virgin Islands residents are U.S. citizens

can participate in the presidential nominating processes (caucuses).[1] Citizens cannot elect voting members of Congress. However, in the U.S. House of Representatives, they are represented by a delegate, who can vote in congressional committees
but not in the House itself. Such delegates can speak on the U.S. House
floor, introduce bills and offer amendments but cannot vote during
business as the Committee as the Whole or on final passage of
legislation. The USVI has been allowed to have non-voting representation
since 1972. The current Delegate to the United States House of
Representatives from the U.S. Virgin Islands is Stacey Plaskett.[2]

Virgin Islands residents can vote fully in all elections if they become a resident of one of the 50 U.S. states.
If residents of one of the 50 states become residents of the Virgin

Well back from my trip it was great I wasn’t there 15 minutes and got pulled into a Flynt knapping course for 3 hours at about 630 pm Fri there was a band banjo fiddle and a few other instruments I didn’t recognize that went till about midnight. Unfortunately I only brought along a pup tent so it was the ground for me. A few smokes and a few shots helped that situation along.
Sat morning I watched the black powder shoot top prize an antique sharps rifle
About 200pm the long bow started out of 55 I got 3rd and second for knife and tomahawk my prizes were a hand carved stone bead necklace with a two bear teeth
My 3 Rd place prize was a men’s work shirt from about 1840 made with vintage material
That night the real fun began about 6 pm Sat the kicked in the clay doors for the earth oven and not a pig but a nice tender young boar all the trimmings the band started about 8 and someone thought it be a good idea to open a few sealed of shine well after that went around a few times a few of the guys headed over to the blacksmith shop and we flipped anvils with powder and cap guess the truck is to get the top anvil to jump high enough so it can land on its feet seems stupid and dangerous lol but hell I’m in amazing that bit of powder can flip a 100 pound chep anvil two feet in the air. Sunday morning breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs sausage toast coffee about 230 the cannon shoot started obviously most people don’t Ave a cannon but some do lol there were four guys in on that but they gave everyone a chance to swab load aim and fire very cool indeed
I must say for as much fun as I had it really did pale in comparison to the buffalo hunt I went on a while back out there you truly did survive by your wits

The sky is falling!! Run out and buy, buy, buy lmao. Already reading accounts that this storm is being controlled as Harvey was suggested to be. That seems entirely feasible. 14. My good people, the real issue here is for us to investigate that Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Harvey were geo-engineered (man-made) storms.

If you go to Dane Wigington’s site, wwwdot geoengineering dotorg you can read all about this, though there are plenty of other sources.

So let’s put all this in CONTEXT: since they have been unable to bring down or take out President Trump, they are attacking all his VOTERS.

In other words, they are attacking US!

To paraphrase Alfred from the Batman Trilogy, “Because some people (psychopaths) just like to see people die!”

Don’t get distracted by the gun issue, instead ask, who is using Nicola Tesla’s HAARP machine for this unspeakable evil?

THIS is what we must DEMAND our Congressmen investigate.

They couldn’t remove President Trump, so they are settting out to remove us by manipulating weather to disempower, relocate, and otherwise kill us. For instance, Hodges reported that survivors of the Houston flooding were being brought to Walmarts, which as we all know, were converted to FEMA camps.

I REFUSE to “accept” that these superstorms are freaks of mother nature. I refuse to have my consciousness conditioned to “accept” that these storms have no “origin”.

When people with scientific smarts way above my paygrade are documenting the science behind these hurricanes as man-made, it’s time to pay attention and spread this Truth.

Continue to prep. Pray for all storm victims. Get right with God. And pray to Almighty God that these evildoers get exposed and stopped in their tracks.

      God bless you all.

The governor of the Virgin Islands is an authoritarian tyrant at heart. IMO he is implementing what he always wished he could.
What is the purpose in giving the National Guard the ability to seize guns, ammo and property? I would assume they are equipped with anything they need. I know they aren’t some militia force in a 3rd world country that needs to expropriate supplies and ammo in order to operate. The National Guard is not only a part of the US Army, but also has the funding and support of the State. Why on earth do they need to seize private property, especially guns and ammo, to operate? I’m pretty sure they have access to all the guns and ammo they would need as determined by the Governor, the President and their command and control structure.
This governor is an authoritarian threat who needs to be removed from office and hopefully prosecuted and imprisoned for using his office to carry out political vendettas against a segment of his population he does not like because they own guns.

So it looks that HAARP, and weather weapon satellites will steer erma westward into the Texas gulf, on the coast to finish off Lousiana and Texas? I am sure that they want it to turl, grind and mince the entire state of Texas. I am keeping my eyes on this one for certain. A few of my cop friends text me today to let me know that the curfew is still in effect that has been getting dred lock attacks, they caught some of the fuckers and arrested their ass in a few good neighborhoods, fuckers got caught trying to break into people’s homes. The curfew would not be tolerated one more day by the citizenry, form what I was told.

It also prohibits the forced registration of a firearm for which registration is not required by any federal, state, or local law.[2] The Title also lays out the rights and legal framework for citizens who feel their gun rights have been violated during a time of emergency. ………………………………Above all this red tape is the 2nd Amendment in the Constitution.

Strange how all those people that beat their chests and boast about how they will never give up their guns and will kill anyone who tries taking them always seem to change their minds when the police or guard actually show up to either take their guns or arrest or kill them if they don’t give them up.

Beaver: Pretty true. A lot of people on here talk mad amounts of shit and just about none of them are going to do shit but have another beer and jerk off some more to the whores online at and then go to sleep…so much for all of the big, bad keyboard warriors in action.

Clouds this morning, no rain yet and no wind either.
Yesterday was a beautiful day with light breezes.
Around 2:00 today it will break loose on us.

Luckily it appears Irma is making a slight turn Northward which should keep us out of direct hit range.
Not knowing what wind speed to expect grates on us.
The prediction for San Juan is 75mph, but there’s 185 mph winds out there, too!
A few outside things to tie down and then it’s gather inside and wait. How’s the song go, “The waiting is the hardest part”?

Angry Beaver, good points and I like reading about your adventures!
Will post more if possible. “When we get to the other side.”

who moved them to the ‘middle of the Pacific’?

    25. A common senser says:

Wow! Talk about posting before thinking. Too many errors in your diatribe to consider it’s merits. Why does everything have to have a deep conspiracy behind it? Don’t let your paranoia get the best of you. Instead, just be better prepared! Take care of necessary business and stop blaming everything on some secret agenda. As soon as I saw that you placed the Virgin Islands in the Pacific the rest of your article had ZERO credibility. You are letting your emotions get the better of you and that is not a good prepper’s attribute. Take a deep breath man and think before you spout.

    26. Remember…..when the govt gives the confiscation/disarm orders to “protect lives & property for the greater good”, the goon squads will KILL you if you don’t comply. In other words, we have to kill you to keep you safe.!!!

I remember when They did this during Katrina and people crying as their weapons were taken and they were left defenseless…total crap. Notice in the statement how they state weapons, ammo or ANY PROPERTY they would need in the disaster. Well, that a pretty broad statement ripe for abuse if you ask me. So basically, someone could have prepped and prepared to take care of their own family with supplies and someone in “authority” could just say we need your stuff to help in the recovery efforts?! This is completely dangerous and trampling on one’s constitutional rights is never okay.

    30. Wake-up-people says:

And Why in the hell do they need to “steal” peoples firearms and ammo? They have plenty of their own. This is so utterly ridiculous and a monster over-stepping of this awful, jack-booted Gov’t. Do NOT give into this garbage my fellow patriots. Enough is enough already!!

    31. Jerry says:

This writer, possibly a college graduate must have slept through geography lessons.

    32. Brian says:

In Katrina, the prospect of entering the homes in the wealthier neighborhoods to loot on the pretext of gun confiscation was too much. You saw on the videos how the police were taking part in the looting of the stores. Supposedly the homes were to be empty of the owners who would have evacuated. What better time to loot? Gun confiscation is a pretext to loot.

Confronting your neighbors who want you to share is one thing; confronting armed police and soldiers is something else. One man’s prepping is another man’s “hoarding”. Hoarding has always been about acquiring the total supply of a critical item for the purposes of selling it at a ridiculous price. If you buy it for your own use, it is not hoarding. The abuse of authority is what makes government so dangerous in a SHTF scenario. It is present in every SHTF situation.

    33. Texas Harley says:

Something WONKY is going on here at SHTF. This article is supposedly the same one appearing on Zero Hedge. The Zero Hedge article does refer to Mike Abbot, however, there is no reference to the Pacific. The SHTF article is significantly longer than the Zero Hedge article. It appears that someone at SHTF decided to modify this article for content. Any Comment?

Just the other day, the media reported the hurricane catagory’s were needing to create a category 6 on the scale, that makes me think, the people controlling & operating HAARP do have a hand in theses hurricanes, They can control weather around the world.. why haven’t they used the technology to divert or, lessen the severity of these hurricanes??? Something bad is going on, and I do think it’s man made….

    38. When did they move the U.S. Virgin Islands to the Pacific?

    39. She3pdog says:

I know national gaurdsmen are gona have a tough time and thier work cut out for them, but this sort of move seems wrong –
“guardsmen can “appropriate” guns, ammunition, explosives and property needed to respond to Hurricane Irma. The order was signed by Virgin Islands Gov. Kenneth Mapp on Monday.”
I’ve seen footage from a friend was recently in the British Virgin Islands, and there is unfortunately a lot of property damage, but this sort of order is government overeach going to far. Private gun ownership might just lead to less crime, and allow people to defend themselves and thier family from looters and a potential breakdown in law and order.

    40. Beaumont says:

They would also confiscate harmless, private property and supplies.

“no soldier shall in time of peace be quartered, in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war but in a manner to be prescribed by law.”

So, the communists and praetors have given themselves a law.

    41. One of the great philosophers, Aristotle, Plato, or was it Socrates; said, “the effect of failure to become involved in Politics means you will be ruled by inferior men”.

That quote is probably not exactly right, but that’s the gist of it. I think you could replace the word “inferior” with “evil”.

Most of us let things go until pain is involved. That’s why smart slave owners keep slaves drunk on holidays. Sober slaves might decide to get up and leave. Our chains are inside our head. Invisible but real chains keep us from acting in our own best interest.
