Michigan Triggers Constitutional Convention: Could U.S. Constitution Be Changed to Eliminate Second Amendment?

Editor’s Note: As highlighted in the article below by Paul Joseph Watson of Infowars, Michigan may have just triggered a modern-day Constitutional Convention. Though it’s not yet clear if Michigan’s call for a convention pushes us over the threshold due to procedural issues associated with the applications of other states, at the very least our Federal Congress will now be forced to review the situation.

Our nation is broken, that should be clear. Our Founders left for us a  mechanism to fix it, and one of the most powerful is an Article V Constitutional Convention, which is designed specifically for the fifty states to initiate Constitutional changes outside of the purview of the federal government. The President of the United States, for example, will have absolutely no say in the matter and is unable to exercise veto power over Constitutional Amendments. The Federal Congress can do nothing more than oversee the Convention. And the Judicial Branch will have to abide by ANY and ALL ratified changes.

What this means is that should Congress determine that the 2/3 state (34 states) qualification has been met, then the States will propose and then vote on Amendments to the existing U.S. Constitution. Keep in mind that this could mean the addition of Amendments in the form of codicils (Like the amendments that followed the Bill of Rights), or the complete removal of existing amendments. This could go either direction – good or bad, as Paul points out with the Second Amendment. The Founders did take steps to ensure that all, or at least most, Americans supported any proposes changes by requiring 3/4 (38) states to ratify any changes.

This may be a welcome change for America at the present time. We’re sure our readers can think of scores of Amendments that would make America better. But, there is a flip side to that coin, and things could change for the worse should the States agree on changes that might, for example, “update” the Second or First amendments (or any of the others that are the pillars of American liberty).

Could U.S. Constitution Be Changed to Eliminate Second Amendment?
    By Paul Joseph Watson

The entire U.S. Constitution could be up for review after Michigan became the 34th state to vote in favor of a Constitutional Convention, satisfying a rule that states America’s founding document can be amended if two thirds of state legislatures approve the measure.

Article V of the U.S. Constitution states that Congress “shall call a convention for proposing amendments” should the two thirds requirement be met, which it was last week when Michigan lawmakers endorsed the move.

Following the vote, California Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter called for a Constitutional Convention to be given the go ahead.

“Based on several reports and opinions, Michigan might be the 34th state to issue such a call and therefore presents the constitutionally-required number of states to begin the process of achieving a balanced budget amendment,” Hunter wrote.

While some would welcome the opportunity to amend the Constitution to institute fiscal conservatism, others fear the move could easily be hijacked to negate parts of the document that protect fundamental liberties, such as the right to bear arms and freedom of speech.

Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens recently called for ”improving” the Constitution by changing the second amendment so the right to bear arms only applied to those in a “militia” and not the general public at large.

“Nevertheless, in such a convention, the ENTIRE Constitution is subject to review and can be altered and changed. This could be everything from installing “social justice” to the dissolution of the federal government. Everything is on the table as if we were back in 1776 Philadelphia,” writes Martin Armstrong, adding that the Michigan vote represents an, “unprecedented event to amend the U.S. Constitution.”

Fox News’ Barnini Chakraborty notes that it is unclear whether the 34 state requirement has been met since some have rescinded their votes, but constitutional scholar Gregory Watson said there could be no take backs.

“If it is ultimately adjudicated that a state may not rescind a prior application, then Ohio’s 2013 application for a Balanced Budget Amendment convention would be the 33rd and Michigan’s 2014 application would be the 34th on that topic,” said Watson.

      • I don’t think you’re alone with this sentiment.

The positive thing here is that 38 states must ratify ANY proposed changes. And, when the proposed Amendment goes to the states themselves, the legislature or State Convention is unable to make ANY changes to it… It’s a clean Yay or Ney vote.

Thus, I see the possibility of removal of the Second Amendment to be fairly unlikely.

There is however, some political gamesmanship that can come into play here, because the Federal Congress gets to determine HOW the states are to vote/ratify proposed Amendments… They can either send it to State Legislatures as those bodies exist now, OR, they can force the States to hold their own Conventions.

My guess is, that because there are many more “Red” counties as opposed to “Blue” in the USA, they’ll try to avoid the latter and go with the former, and simply have this come down to existing legislative assemblies.

So, really, this will all boil down to red vs. blue again, at least for the most part.

I do believe that even blue states understand the need for the 2nd, 1st, 4th, and those will go untouched should a Convention take place.

Of course, that’s all just theoretical.

Also, we’re not even sure yet if the 2/3 (34) state threshold has been met because some states applied as far back as the early 90′s and then rescinded their applications… It is not clear if those particular states can rescind an application once submitted… So, we have a long way, I think, before we see any National Convention at this point…

From what I understand the Constitutional Amendment process has taken upwards of 100 years in some cases…

Haven’t you learned anything yet? First we have to pass the new constitution, then we try to understand it.

They would have to fast track it. The article I read the other day made it seem like this couldn’t happen very easily. Too many laws/attorneys/bullshit….. The fact that some states have withdrawn is a biggie.

There almost certainly has to be some major event that would destroy the 2nd Amendment. There is just no way that without some excuse that 100 million gun owners are going to allow the 2nd to be outlawed. Give enough of a strong false flag and you could have some ATTEMPT at changing the Constitution. There really has to be something severe enough for these bastards to F with our most basic rights. Enough of the masses has to be brainwashed to except such a violation.

I am sure they have plans for getting rid of the 2nd. Without the 2nd. the whole basic rights of everything that is protected from the 2nd. falls apart. The 2nd is ALL that protects us from a nightmare of losing all of our freedoms. Without some catastrophe event(s), the 2nd Amendment is safe for now. 100 million people still have a massive voting block, and those f’wads don’t want to be voted out, that includes even the libtards.

Those pushing for the new world order are very adaptable. They won’t waste an “opportunity” to further their plans. A major event would allow them to declare martial law. I expect very strict gun laws and/ or gun confiscation would follow. Then, we would see the “agenda” advance quickly.

They are pushing for gun control on many different fronts – for stricter control laws at the state level, national level and also through the U.N. Obama also has his pen handy to write additional executive orders if the House and Senate aren’t working fast enough.

I believe the covert use of threats, blackmail and general coercion will decide what gets put into a new constitution.

Anyone who thinks that nobody has that kind of money to pull that off, is deluding themselves.

            Stig-think on this……..

If the original federal tax rules in 1913 consisted of 2 to 3 pages and is now several thousands of pages with more words than the combined works of Shakespeare….

How long and completely convoluted could they intentionally make a “new constitution”. I believe they would make it worded with so many clauses and cause/effect events hidden in it, that the govt would essentially be ascribing themselves god-like power and control over the lives of the populace.

Rights would no longer be presumed to be given naturally by our creator with a “Bill of Rights” guaranteeing us protection from govt intrusion–instead we would have an all governing elite who may ban any mention of a creator, family, or even mentioning freedom of speech–dissent or public gatherings will be punishable by death. Personal opinions on homosexuality, morals, drugs–anything–if not in line with the PC police will be punishable by being “disappeared” from society….

But we’re not that far from this already and the current constitution does not seem to be followed very much. We really are living in a lawless land right now–with our leader being, “the man of lawlessness”

            • Buy ammo, heck, it’s time to get setup to do handloading.

Try to implement micro-stamping and serial numbers on cartridges and projectiles when the bullets have been cast from molten lead alloy and the cartridges were first fired years ago. In this case, other than bullet alloy, the only consumables are powder and primers.

Anything but 22 rimfire can be made very easily at home with gear that probably cost much less than your TV or home theatre.

Here’s a basic guide, by no means definitive, but a good start: http://www.wikihow.com/Hand-Load-Ammunition

Making a bullet with the proper equipment on hand is literally easier than making a sandwich.

it’s not much different then ammo really, when ammo is gone in a rush usually so are the primers – me i’d rather have the ammo.

i always wonder why people preach hand loading as the “solution”…

jerrytbg: Just who the heck do think “they” are that they can do as they please. It’s not going to be anyone from D.C. that’s for sure. The Constitution has not been amended by Convention since it was first created. It has been amended 27 times by a much easier, and far less ‘messy’ process, which is just fine as far as Congress is concerned. A convention would mean that every state chooses who will be its delegates, and it won’t any congressmen or senators, and they will be ones who will make all the proposed changes they fell are necessary for anew Constitution. There is no limit as to the number and types of prosed changes to the U.S. Constitution that could take place. Don’t take my word for it, read a Article 5 of the Constitution, it tells you only how, not what can be proposed. Liberals and the current hoard of D. C. inhabitants DO NOT want a convention because one or even all three branches could see their powers severely restricted, and in some cases, eliminated. And these rodents don’t want the states to have this much power because they couldn’t control them. Any crazy thing you can imagine could be proposed. Large states like Montana and Alaska have two senator each but only one congressman because of population based on the Connecticut/Great Compromise of 1787 during the original Convention. These larger states could say that to administer their large areas they will create regions/sub-states with it’s own sub-governor. Each are would run its own affairs but still be subject to main state approval/objection, not unlike todays state and federal relationship. And as part of that new state make- up they get two more senators and at least one new congressman for each one. This would make these states far more powerful in congress than they already are. Other states could propose to go it alone as free nations (Vermont)or only be associate members with greater autonomy than full member states. Crazy crap like that could happen because EVERYTHING is open and that’s why TPTB will never allow another Constitutional Convention. No, those clowns in D.C. never want to see another Constitutional Convention-EVER! Hell, the founders barley got it done with only 13 colonies, does anyone actually believe that it could happen with 50 states.

Nullification is an EXTREMELY POWERFUL, yet underutilized tool of the States.

In fact, given the lack of interest for nullification by state legislative bodies it makes me wonder if we’d ever get any new Amendments ratified with a Convention… Seems to me that State legislators are just as corrupt and party-driven as the Federales Hence, should there be a convention I would personally prefer that Federal Congress call State Conventions (where the people should be able to elect ANY RESIDENT OF THE STATE to represent them) instead of leaving it to the Legislatures).

PS: anybody that really thinks David Rockefeller, Ford Foundation, and a few others have spent a grand total of over $25 Million since 1960 era, to have various folks at Georgetown Univ do a complete Re write of the us const, and do said re write aprox 60+ times to “get it right”(as They see things) and keep it hidden away while awaiting The Perfect moment in time to Use it as a total replacement us const, are just fooling around? or enjoy wasting their money?….Are just too simple minded or foolish to awaken.

That versions BOR is based upon the UN as final arbitrators and overall “Deciders” of what will constitute 1st amendt Free speech…Free as long as it passes muster of a self apointed UN ngo board of ‘deciders” that Your free speech is in NO way found “Offensive” to Any minority groups or persons etc.

The david Rockefeller const versions BOR also Keeps the 2nd amendt. But it “ADDS” a few more restrictions as to what various Fed govnt mandated “Tests” one must meet before They issue a Buy a gun Permit that remains Valid for ONE year…That and also mandates to RE register all firearms Yearly, same as vehicles lic plate reg’s now are.

And of course fed govnt mandated, controled, approved mental tests by approved shrinks etc prior to obtaining said Buy gun permits…

No, they did not spent such vast amounts cash, and time to re write const entirely just to toss it in garbage pail some day eh….They have Plans for Our const and BOR alright and NONE is good period.

And the Only Gate keepers we now have to block or stop lib kommies like Hobammys destructions of america and our rights, all seem to have zero backbone. And if Now neocon repubs are way too Fearfull of being called a racist for Actually doing something to Stop hobammys outrages…How swell it will be to see that same repubs neocon bunch Protect Our Rights as they now exist in us const and BOR.

If last 5 yrs shows any type proofs?…Then one can only see that Proof as abject total failures by these congressional and senate repubs when it comes to actually Doing as promiced to twhart hobammys crap.

And Then after a new const or more ammendts get added they are going to Obey that too? Each POTUS in turn since then has been a Traitor to America pushing a global agenda: Agenda 21, in violation of their oath of office.

The Globalists have used the American dollar as their weapon of choice to subdue the world, and when that has failed they have used OUR military to spread their wars of phony, crony capitalism.

The Gangster Banksters who control them and fund them have stolen the American economy and the opportunity that rightfully belonged to American citizens, and shipped it offshore to foreigners, under the euphemism of FREE TRADE.

Then they pushed the banking system over the cliff to collect the insurance from US, increasing OUR taxes, increasing OUR debt, and they have encouraged the invasion of OUR country by illegals to take OUR jobs while WE subsidize them to do so; and relegated the American worker to menial jobs at minimum wage.

It goes back much further than 1992 DK! Try 1861 with Lincoln’s destruction of the separation of powers, and the place of the Supreme Court in the constitutional scheme of government; 1913 with the Federal Reserve act; the 1930s with the rise of state management of the economy, with it’s bias toward higher and higher public and private debt ratios against current income; the 1960s “guns and butter” fiscal disaster; and Richard Nixon’s 1971 proclamation which put the finial nail in the coffin of sound money. “1992?” you can’t possibly be serious! 1992 marked a sea change in the Great Game. Globalists took power in an unprecedented way, controlling the US presidency from inside the office.

Now its about much more than money. Now the PTB want to control every aspect of OUR lives from cradle to grave and make US economic serfs to serve them and their progeny, while they make the world over in their image to suite their Agenda.

Fractional Reserve banking cannot exist without a central bank (the Fed). Any bank that engaged in fractional reserve banking would be considered guilty of fraud and, when discovered, would be punished by a bank run, followed by criminal charges.

That year we were given your beloved Federal Reserve Bank, as well as the Federal Income Tax….which is simply the means the Banksters use to collect what they steal from the American citizens. And rather than provide stability, they have been responsible for every financial panic since then….including the Great Depression.

They should all be hung. And I had my way, I’d desecrate the graves of the whole lot of them, including Wilson….dig up their bones, burn them, grind them to powder and then cast them to the four winds. (Gee…you think maybe I hate them?)

The banking system hasn’t been pushed over the cliff. It’s been driven over the cliff. The banking system was never designed for any other purpose than enriching the banksters, and don’t you ever forget it. Every finanicial has served to enrich them.

You are right, Mac. It only takes 34 states to authorize the convention, but 38 states (3/4) to approve any amendments. I can’t imagine which 38 states would vote to repeal the 2nd Amendment. We only need 13 states to stand firm. Let’s see, Wyoming, Alaska, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Georgia, South Carolina, Montana, Idaho, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Maine, New Hampshire, North & South Dakota, Nebraska…. Then there’s Utah, Kansas, Indiana, Wisconsin…… Off the top of my head. You would have to get almost a dozen of gun-friendly states to vote to repeal the 2nd amendment.

Both houses of Congress would have to approve of the method (whether by legislatures or conventions) and those Republican house members — and some Democrats would not want to propose a method that would undermine the Second Amendment. I HOPE.

Everyone on the right is worried about the Second, but I think Democrats fear a Balanced Budget Amendment most of all. In that case they would be figuring out whether convention or legislature would be more likely to vote for a balanced budget than worry about any other amendments they wanted approved.

        1) Eliminate the Federal Reserve and return this nation to Sound Money.

        2) Require TERM LIMITS on all Federal Congressional Representatives and Senators. Two terms should be enough. Otherwise, as we have today, these people turn politics into a career. I think a whole host of problems could be resolved with this one right here.

        3) Eliminate the personal income tax completely. (they’ll figure out new mechanisms for funding… like perhaps balancing the budget!)

        4) Require a balanced budget. If we don’t have the money, we don’t get to spend it.

        5) Strengthen the fourth amendment. So that any government official (or those operating under authorization from government officials) engaging in surveillance activities without first acquiring a written court order can be criminally punished for their actions – with sentences mimicking the severity of our current drug laws.

        BAM. That was easy.

It’s a slippery slope to be sure… My thinking here is that fresh blood is harder to corrupt. Also, with new members, they may not be so apt to just go with their party as they are not yet entrenched into a single line of thinking, or perhaps there will be more “parties” represented in Congress… In my view, the more they argue in Congress, the fewer laws get passed, and that can’t be a bad thing considering the tens of thousands of pages that have been pushed through in recent decades.

Only after serious debate, consideration and compromise would laws get passed.

There is only Statutory Law because of fiat currency laws!! How can one pay a bill if only fiat is used? One cannot, but one can discharge ones obligation to pay by using Federal Reserve Notes. Such is the case with millions of Americans who know absolutely nothing of the wool that has been pulled over their unseeing eyes but let us hope that they will awaken soon to the great Fraud that has been perpetrated over our Nation since 1913!!!!

        • OK, one more… I mean, how often do we get to propose Amendments? :)

Supreme Court Justice Stevens recently said that he would like the Second Amendment to include 5 new words, as follows:

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the militia shall not be infringed.”

Obviously a ridiculous proposal, because that would mean our right to bear arms for personal defense is pretty much flushed down the toilet.

In response, Paul Watson (Infowars) suggested we eliminate words instead and have the 2nd read as follows:

“The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.”

That right there will pretty much solve most of these crazy laws being passed by anti-gunners.

Mac, if you don’t have or bring forward the “Land Patent” you don’t own the land. The Land Patent is the title to the land. Anything else (warranty deed, tax deed, sheriff’s deed, etc) is merely a color of title.

“That the patent carries the fee and is the best title known to a court of law is the settled doctrine of this court.” Marshall v. Ladd, 7 Wall. (74 U.S.) 106 (1869)

“State statutes that give lesser authoritative ownership of title than the patent can not even be brought into federal court.” Langdon v. Sherwood, 124 U.S. 74, 81 (1887)

              “A patent issued by the government of the United States is legal and conclusive evidence of title to the land described therein. No equitable interest, however strong, to land described in such a patent, can prevail at law, against the patent” {Land Patents, Opinions of the United States Attorney General’s office, (Sep- tember, 1969)}

I always find it interesting that the vast majority of people wouldn’t buy a used car with no title, but they’ll pay for land and/or a house and be satisfied with a color of title.

I’m learning this as I go along. I’ve brought the patent forward under my status as an “assign” and quit claim deeded the land from MY NAME to My Name. All paperwork was reviewed and approved by the Illinois (yeah, I know, but this is where I wound up) State Attorney.

As for property taxes, I still pay but continue to study case law on the Land Patent and how to defend it against a collateral attack by a color of title (tax deed, sheriff’s deed, etc).

In the history of this Country, no Land Patent has ever lost an appellate review in the courts. Google “Summa Corp v California” where the State tried to take some land because the land in question was tidewater land. Even though California’s Constitution gives the state the right to all tidewater lands, the Land Patent stood supreme and California lost the case in the SCOTUS.

To the best of my knowledge so far, the only restrictions on the land is what is in the patent proceedings or the act of Congress under which the patent was authorized. That would probably be your State’s Enabling Act. As SCOTUS stated in Summa Corp v Calif, if it’s not in the patent proceedings it must be barred.

If nothing else, studying land law, researching records at the Court House, and reading the State Enabling Acts is really interesting stuff. Like I said, I’m learning as I go and definitely not an expert or giving any advise.

For example, a bill regarding on a farm/agriculture issue should not have a defense, immigration, education, tax change or other issue tacked onto it. Bills will need to be written in simple easy to understand English. This will keep the size of the bill small and make it easy for anyone to READ and understand. Time must be given for members of Congress to read and debate the bill.

We are seeing far too many huge pieces of legislation getting voted on that people who took speed reading classes could not read and digest. No more having to “pass the bill to see what’s in it”!!

More than 100 pages, the bill has to be debated for as many days as there are pages in the bill. Any last minute amendments start the waiting period all over again.

Forcing term limits is great, but should also be coupled with “laws apply to all” for these insider trading, I’ll blow you and you blow me attitude to back room shenanigans.

We still need a great debate of informed citizens and not politicians to happen on a national and public scale.

To my knowledge, we past “go time” a long time ago. In addition, aren’t we in a full blown “soft” fascist police state, right now? They might not be knocking on your door at 3am tomorrow, but they can, anytime they so desire, since we, here, are clearly on their list as “terrorists”.

The Constitution has been gutted, already. It’s all smoke and mirrors when it comes to thinking we’re in a Democracy. And if anyone thinks we’re going to someday return to the once proud Republic we were, you’re on the fringe and you will be one of the first to walk the plank. The masses, and those newbies to the masses, haven’t got a clue of what a Republic is (or the significance of the Bill of Rights). They’ve already merged with collectivist’s collective and beyond. Our old way of life is over. Better learn how to acclimate to the new world we live in. Doesn’t mean you still can’t have some “lock and loaded’ action. I didn’t get mine to target shoot.

      • Dragon says:

I have a number of suggestions for amendments that would go far in correcting the current corruption in government that we are currently faced with.

1.) Reduce the terms of service for the house to 2 years, elections on alternating years. Institute a Term Limit of 4 terms of service. Repeal the 17th Amendment and return Senate seats to appointment by the State Legislatures.

2.) Limit campaign times to 30 days before election and require that candidates voting record and actions in office be posted in its entirety, in EVERY news media form for that entire 30 days.

3.) Mandate that each member of the House and Senate return to their State or District and maintain open office hours in such for a minimum of 10 business days each calendar month.

These three amendments would make the people in government office more answerable to the people they were elected to serve. For far too long the people who have been elected go to Washington, and we never see them again until election time. This has to end.

4.) Limit the term of the Presidency to ONE, 4-year term.

This amendment would eliminate the empire building that most of our recent presidents have spent their entire first term doing.

5.) Mandatory “Sunsetting” of all Federal Laws after Ten years. Any Federal Law that needs to be continued shall pass through a standard vote by the House and Senate and shall be signed by the President.

This amendment would restrict the damage any law could do by automatically creating a time limit under which this shall be effective.

6.) Limit the Terms of Service of Federal Judges, including Supreme Court Judges, to 20 years is a specific office.

This would remove the “Lifetime” appointment of Federal Judges.

7.) Make the 10th Amendment supreme. No law that is not codified in the Constitution of the United States will be supreme to the Laws or Constitution of the States.

This would return local control to the States, where it belongs. This would eliminate the ability of the actions of one state to affect any other state.

8.) Set an automatic “Sunseting” of all Federal Agencies and Bureaus to 3 years. Any Agency or Bureau not specifically authorized by the Constitution of the United States shall be voted on by the House and Senate in an open floor debate, and it’s continuation shall be voted upon in a simple up or down vote, or it shall cease to exist.

This amendment shall make all the various Fedeal Agencies and Bureaus stand before congress in an open session and justify their existence to the American People or they will simply cease to exist.

9.) Mandate that all the borders of the United States be Secured, and give the states the authority to institute additional border security as they see fit. In addition, mandate a MANDATORY Identification check of any and all persons seeking Federal Aid in any form. Make it illegal, with a penalty of automatic deportation, for a non-citizen to request or receive government aid, or from attempting to vote in an election. Make it illegal, with a penalty of permanently banning them from ever returning to the United States of America or it’s protectorates, to overstay a Visa or be in this country illegally. NO EXCEPTIONS.

10.) Institute a Mandatory Balanced Budget Amendment that requires that the Federal Government prioritize it’s spending. Set a hierarchy of spending prioritizing National Defense.

I could keep going, but you get the idea.

Keep a watchful eye as lobbying interests move in to persuade the dialogue. State officials trying to get to Washington clearly violate constitutional protections as bad or worse then those in Washington, and their motives and corporate backing might lead to a call to arms to protect our God given rights. So they tell us that they are going to change a document that when interpreted correctly protects us and is a limitation of what government can and cannot do, yet it is ignored today, is their plan to make a constitution “light” where it is easier to violate a citizens rights? It is the only way this can go, as they should simply demand the present constitution be adhered to, and enforced from Washington to the local courts or removal and charges would be put on officials who do not follow the constitutional guidelines. It will be interesting to see proposals, but do not think for a second that these power mongers will strengthen Liberty, as they know the profit for the state and traitors is in lessening rights as a whole.

Something that people keep forgetting. No law can be made in the constitution or by the States that does not abide by the Constitution itself, as per the Supremacy Clause. People really don’t understand what the Supremacy Clause means.

The Bill of Rights are acknowledgements of the type of rights we have, with the 9th Amendment explaining that we are not limited to those rights written, but have a plethora. That those written were just some of the most important chosen to be acknowledged.

You can not create a law stripping anyone of their rights, especially since they’re inalienable.

Any law they create that violates the Constitution is null and void. That includes the 2nd Amendment which ” shall not be infringed” is as straight forward as you get, in addition to it being an inalienable right they can not “lawfully” touch.

    16. I think people have forgotten that the first ten amendments were from the Bill of Rights, and they are rights we have simply by being human. There was never any intention of amending these, as they cannot, by definition, be amended. We can add clarifications (which we have done over the years), but we cannot REMOVE or ALTER any of the first ten, because they are “Inalienable”, we cannot be separated from them by any government, agreement, or person. If they are altered, they are nullified by design.

      Penguins

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins

on the ice in Antarctica – where do they go?

      Wonder no more ! ! !

It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic

bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life.

The penguin is very committed to its family and will

mate for life, as well as maintaining a form of

compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members

of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes

in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is

deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into and buried.

The male penguins then gather in a circle

around the fresh grave and sing:

      “Freeze a jolly good fellow”

“Then they kick him in the ice hole.”

A local television station interviewed a woman from New Orleans and asked how the loss of churches in the area had affected their lives.

Without hesitation, the woman replied, “I don’t know ’bout all those other peoples, but we ain’t gone to Churches in years. We gets our chicken from Popeye’s.”

The look on the interviewer’s face was priceless.

As you well know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home from the occasional social events over the years.

A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many beers and some rather nice cabernet.

Knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit, I did something I’ve never done before – I took a bus home.

I arrived back home safely and without incident which was really a nice surprise since I had never driven a bus before and am not sure where I got this one.

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh ,

had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent

      form of government.

A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can

vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the

most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally

collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship.”

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has

      been about 200 years.

During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

      From bondage to spiritual faith;
      From spiritual faith to great courage;
      From courage to liberty;
      From liberty to abundance;
      From abundance to complacency;
      From complacency to apathy;
      From apathy to dependence;
      From dependence back into bondage.”
      The Obituary follows:

      Born 1776, Died 2012
It doesn’t hurt to read this several times.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul , Minnesota ,

points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was
mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income
tenements and living off various forms of government welfare…”

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the
“complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy,
with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached
      the “governmental dependency” phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal
invaders called illegal’s – and they vote – then we can say goodbye to the
USA in fewer than five years.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at

stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom..

      This is truly scary!

Of course we are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic .

Someone should point this out to Obama.

Of course we know he and too many others pay little attention to The Constitution.

This is off the subject but I need other people’s opinion on this one. I was looking at how they have not found that missing plane, and I was listening to how the passengers’ families are now convinced that the plane is being hidden for whatever reason. I think it is possible that it was hijacked and to be used later for a weapon. Then all of a sudden this thought came over me and it is a whopper of a bad thought. Another “conspiracy” theory, but kind of a scary one.

Could someone on that plane been sick with some deadly virus and the people are right now being quarantined by the governments of Malaysian or other governments. If say smallpox or other strange virus was discovered to be in one of more of the passengers, rather than send the world into a panic they would fake this whole plane disappearing. Why didn’t Indonesian radar pick this plane up IF it flew in this direction. Even one case of some horrible outbreak could panic everyone. This I think is a possibility. It could be sitting in some hangar in Somalia for as far as I know. This does sound plausible doesn’t it that they are holding these people because of maybe some Ebola, smallpox, plague, or some other newly discovered dangerous pathogen?

Last one for the night…. Since females are smarter than males…

In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where a family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber.

“I’m afraid I’m the bearer of bad news,” he said as he surveyed the worried faces. “The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. It’s an experimental procedure, very risky, but it is the only hope. Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will have to pay for the BRAIN.”

The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a time, someone asked, “How much will a brain cost?”

The doctor quickly responded, “$5,000 for a male brain; $200 for a female brain.”

The moment turned awkward. Some of the men actually had to ‘try’ to not smile, avoiding eye contact with the women.
A man unable to control his curiosity, finally blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, “Why is the male brain so much more than a female brain?”

The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire group, “It’s just standard pricing procedure. We have to price the female brains a lot lower because they’ve been used.”

Thomas Jefferson said, “Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.”

From an article by Richard L. Bushman, professor of history, Boston University, dated June 1976 (ironic year), Bushman writes:

“When should a people go to the extremity of revolt?”

Bushman then quotes Jefferson, “When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty to throw off such governments…”

Bushman states, “The key word was design. Mere incompetence was not enough. Mistakes had to be tolerated. It was only when the will of the sovereign aimed specifically at destroying all the rights of a people and reducing them to slavery that revolution was justified.”

Bushman then again quotes Jefferson, “The history of the present King of Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these States.”

Bushman then wrote, “The abuses listed in the declaration were aimed at proving the point. The American revolutionaries themselves would not endorse a revolution arising from ineptitude in government or even suffering among the people. A much deeper and pervasive corruption was necessary—a malevolent and enduring design to destroy the freedom of the people.”

Bushman then posits: “There are two questions we must ask when someone makes a case for revolution: does he represent a minority point of view disguised as the will of the people; and does he represent the desires of the whole better than the lawfully elected representatives of the people gathered in our legislative bodies?”

Interesting questions from 1776 and 1976…for today.

@ eppe. You know I am growing so tired of this missing plane story, but I would like to say something about the math of what is going on right now considering that the Chinese have somehow come up with some mysterious underwater signal.

The area that they are now searching is 1700 miles away from the point in which the plane went missing. It was suppose to be in the air for 7 hours at least after it lost contact. That means unless it was zig zagging like a drunk dragonfly it was travelling at about 250 mph in 7 hours to get 1700 miles away. That is below stall speed. The plane cannot maintain such a slow speed for so long without falling from the sky. This whole thing is one of the biggest deceptions ever for whatever reason, either becausde these idiots are clueless or they are hiding something substantial worth this farce to hide.

The point I am trying to make to everyone is that the MSM is the biggest farce and largest pile of horese crap that there is. that plane landed, not crashed
so if wreckage is found, its because in the past month it (the wreckage) was placed to be found on purpose

It might be years before this aircraft ends up being used for its purpose, or it might already have been used for its purpose..those people on board and the technology they had with them, was the full reason for this charade.

all the “searching” by some is all done for the world stage..granted some countries may be trying to truly find something, its because they are not made aware of this False Flag, and what its future purpose might be

Anything is possible. Because we have the call for a convention will not guarantee we will get the votes to ratify. While everyone looks at the elimination of the second amendment we could also see it with tighter controls on the government. We could also call for the elimination of the commerce clause. I ask many people what part of the constitution gives us our rights and almost 90% get it wrong. Most reply with the ten amendments. I try to inform all that our constitution doesn’t give us our rights but protects us from government. I say scare the hell out of our politicians by demanding a reduction of government powers and the elimination of departments and the controls shifted away from the president. Our politicians will assume they will have control of this convention. We need to make it clear to them that this is up to the people. Many will try to buy the votes of the people and we need a system that insures we only have citizen involvement. I propose that the presidency be removed in its entirety. The governors of all the states would provide its function. I have worked up an outline that would provide for the powers of the presidency to be exercised to eliminate all the favoritism and payoff’s that occur by big money providing election moneys. The peoples control of the governors could also be increased. All this would provide the people to have direct input on the office that is not present now. We are told by our parties who to vote for. It may sound complicated but would give the people better control of our country.

Or, if there will be one, I would expect it to take place years…. and years…. from now. Nothing in government gets done expediently, or efficiently. Why would this be different? I also don’t think that the 2nd Amendment will be touched. As incompetent as the federal and (many) state governments are, they know that the citizens who reside outside of DC and other metro areas will create a serious ruckus if this occurs. I wouldn’t be surprised if secession creeps back into the lexicon. What president would want to be responsible for trying to maintain the Union and killing 620,000 Americans like Lincoln? 620,000 American casualties under Lincoln’s watch and he is considered the best statesman in American history? Would any jackwagon 21st century president want that much blood on his hands?
