Conspiracy Theorist Claims He’s Got PROOF The Apollo Moon Landing Was Faked

Although there are massive amounts of evidence to the contrary, one conspiracy theorist is saying he has undeniable proof that the Apollo 17 moon landing was faked. A YouTube user with the name StreetCap1 posted a video detailing the proof he says changed his mind about the moon landings.

A YouTuber posted a video titled “Reflection in a Visor. Where’s the reflection of the camera taking the photo?” and the four-minute video has more than 2 million views, and over a thousand comments debating the theory.

In the video, the camera isn’t actually spoken of.  The narrator seems concerned with a reflection in the helmet.  The narrator claims that the reflection shows an image of a man not in a space suit, but rather a “waistcoat.”

The image in question was allegedly taken during December 1972 during Apollo 17, the final moon mission.

While moon landing doubters have lurked online for years, StreetCap1 insists this is the first evidence that ever made him doubt the veracity. The vast majority of similar conspiracy theories claiming that Americans nor anyone else ever set foot on the moon have been debunked repeatedly.

The Apollo 17 mission made history in several ways and holds the records for longest time in lunar orbit and the longest moon landing. The image that caused such a stir is shown below:

The debate is fierce on both sides, and many think it is a reflection of a man wearing a spacesuit.

Other comments, however, sided with Streetcap1 in the Youtube video’s comment section, with one commenter writing, “omg goodness. Congratulations Streetcap1. Making world news. Amazing find xx.”

This is not even close to the first “evidence” that internet sleuths think they’ve come across to prove the moon landings were faked.

Looks like he will need life insurance.

  2. Genius says:

Also the ocean extinction team (Japs) sent a probe to the moon a few years ago and reported that there was no evidence man had ever been there.

  3. laura ann says:

Because this was during the cold war, I am leaning towards the whole thing being a fake. Filmed in the desert or somewhere, even the lift off appeared phony. Several years ago, a TV doc. was exposing the landing as fake can’t rem which channel, but it sure made sense after viewing it. Gov. lies all the time about everything anyway.

  4. Michigan Wolverine says:

    ask yourself this

when was the first time you were told the entire truth by your government ?
    when was the last time?

    when have they ever?

  5. Braveheart1776 says:

I don’t normally accept anything coming from these people with youtube channels but this guy just might be onto something. I’ve always been skeptical about the ‘moon landing’ but had no way to prove my theory. I’ll go with what Laura Ann says.

  6. John Stiner says:

What is up with posting these bullshit articles?

How about posting something that has to do with SHTF plans?

    • Yerp says:

      Here here, John!

Those mobile phones and laptops everyone on here is using to decry the moon landings couldn’t have been built without the engineering experiences and financial investments made in technology and research for Apollo, for one.

It’s good to question everything, but this is a total BS article and total BS video.

    • Braveheart1776 says:

JS, agreed about the articles. Must really be a slow news day.

  7. bb in GA says:

I have no solid opinion on whether or not…

I do know that at about 6 years old I learned the value of telling the Truth as best you know it and how that is tied to your overall credibility and reputation.

The US Gov (and pretty much all govts)have let that ship sail centuries ago…

  8. Kevin2 says:

“Can’t say yes, can’t say no, just say maybe”.

I’ll concentrate my focus on those items that that cost lives and the economy, namely wars and trade along with their association the JFK assassination. If you scatter your energy you dilute its strength. This falls under, “The world is flat”, claim for the common fence sitter who is badly needed politically. For this reason I stay out of this one because its likely politically counter productive.

  9. Sgt. Dale says:

    NON story!!!
Stop taking away Americas accomplishments. I don’t what is worse this or the Democrats/Libtars taking down statues of the War of Northern aggression????

  10. Heartless says:

I’ll just wait for the Google Streetview car to swing by and shoot some pics of the area. All joking around aside, I’ve always wondered why we just didn’t leave a camera on the moon to continue broadcasting after the astronauts left. Rather like the Mars landings. Just never did figure.

  11. lumberjack317 says:

NASA = “Never A Straight Answer”

  12. Bryan says:

I would like to know how come IF we really did a moon landing then how come we are not doing it NOW/Today with all the new high tech stuff we have now.

I think it was faked. If we did then, others could be doing it today and there not, that tells me that is did not happen.

    • JayJay says:

That’s exactly my question also–why stop there when our technology is generations past technology in the 60s.

Research the failures just months before the successful launch to the moon!!
      Makes you go..hmmm.

  13. Mode Z says:

  14. g-prepper says:

If the landing(s) were faked, why did NASA fake it six times? (not counting Apollo 13). If the landings were faked, then faking it six times raises the probability of discovery to an astronomical level. Add to that the number of NASA employees and contractors to shield from the truth or to keep quiet. Sorry doubters but Ockham’s razor principle says…..we landed.

  15. Jim in Va. says:

The other theory is that we’ve been on the moon since the 1950s. Take your pick.

  16. NancyS says:

One of the things that I’ve noticed about the people claiming that the moon landings were fake is that the ones claiming this were either too young to really remember what happened or they weren’t even born yet. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s the way it appears to me.

  17. Space Oddity says:

Ashes to ashes, funk to funky
We know Major Tom’s a junkie
    Strung out in heavens high
    Hitting an all-time low…

  18. Glacialhills says:

Go here if you really want to see/hear the questions that will blow the NASA lies right out of the water and make you 100% believe the moon landings never happened. Otherwise just take the blue pill and go back to sleep.

    • JayJay says:

Given that these tapes allegedly documented an unprecedented and unduplicated historical event, one that is said to be the greatest technological achievement of the twentieth century, how in the world would it be possible to, uhmm, ‘lose’ 700 cartons of them? Would not an irreplaceable national treasure such as that be very carefully inventoried and locked away in a secure film vault? And would not copies have been made, and would not those copies also be securely tucked away somewhere? Come to think of it, would not multiple copies have been made for study by the scientific and academic communities?

This statement alone should clear up any controversy….lost?? uh-huh!!

  19. Steve says:

What a waste of time. My own fault for even clicking on the link. Did we land on the moon? Who freaking cares! That has absolutely NO impact on my life! Hey, but here’s a story that just might: “Supreme Court Guts Second Amendment By Refusing To Hear Semi-Auto Ban Case”…

  20. Dan B says:

Look I grew up during this time, Jim Irwin who walked on the moon, who gave his Life to Christ because of this.
One huge argument that we didn’t go to the mon was that the lander was way too small for an average human. But Irwin is the size of a jockey. He’s a little guy. His personal testimony the details he has given, the life changing experiences just cant be made up. I have a picture of Irwin with pastor.
Remember they did rehearsals and walk troughs to plan these missions step by step and tried to make it as real life as possible and they filmed that, duh!

  21. Naya says:

Articles like these are why I only come here once a month or so.
Any idiot knows the moon landings are real.
    The earth is round.
And a whole host of other conspiracy ideas are just total nonsense.
AND they have nothing to do with shtf, prepping, or survival.

  22. Old Guy says:

The radiation belts hold humans and all organic life captive on the earth and prevent other life from entering our atmosphere. No more fake moon landings after Nixon was gone. Why didn’t the Russians go to the moon if it was possible? The rockets that Nasa uses today are Russian technology. And I did watch it on TV and knew it was fake way back then. Logic tells me that they did not traverse the radiation belts twice in that tin foil capsule. And then they fixed the fender on the lunar rover with duct tape. While wearing those huge gloves. just try and get the end of duct tape loose with your bare hands.

  23. bing says:

    repeatedly debunked.

that line in and of itself is so charged with wanting to be challenged.

if that line hadn’t been in the first paragraph i wouldn’t have even read on.
