Prior to the crash of 2008 global trade was rocking. It was a boon for shipping companies around the world who are responsible for moving raw materials, commodities and consumer products from one country to another. Wall Street, of course, had devised a way to track all of this movement and often pointed to the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) as the primary indicator for health in the global trade business.

The index itself tracks the cost of transporting one metric ton of raw materials from one place to another. The numbers behind the BDI can essentially be translated into the cost of moving that cargo.

During the collapse in late 2008 we saw the Baltic Dry Index drop from over 9,000 points to under 1,000 in a matter of months. So, in essence, when the world economy was supposedly booming the cost for moving raw materials was around $9,000 per metric ton. After credit markets locked up and companies stopped ordering inventory the price dropped below $1,000 for moving the exact same raw materials to the exact same place.

What happened to the cost of transporting raw materials and cargo is exactly what you might expect with respect to the economics of it all. When businesses around the world are ordering inventory you’d expect shippers to raise the price of transporting that cargo as demand for their services increases. Likewise, if businesses don’t sell their products they will order less in raw materials, forcing shipping companies to lower their costs as demand for their services drops.

It is for this reason that the Baltic Dry Index has become such a key indicator of economic health and stability.

It would stand to reason, then, that if the value of the BDI is falling then a slow-down in global trade is taking place.

Prepare to be shocked, because despite the glowing reports from the U.S. government about the economic recovery, the Baltic Dry Index has collapsed to nearly the same levels we saw in 2008.

According to Zero Hedge, what we have witnessed since Thanksgiving is the biggest collapse in the ‘trade’ indicator since records began 28 years ago.

The following charts tell you everything you need to know about the purported economic recovery and it isn’t pretty.

We are sure it’s nothing – since stock markets in China and The US are soaring – but deep, deep down in the heart of the real economies, there is a problem. The Baltic Dry Index has fallen for 21 straight days, tumbling around 40% since Thanksgiving Day

    bdi-tday

Here is a chart of the Baltic Dry Index showing where it was before the Crash of ’08 through last month. What you’ll notice is that we are right at the lows witnessed during the height of the crisis in late 2008.

    bdi-dec2014

To say that there has been a massive slow-down in global trade does not do justice to the seriousness of what’s happening.

Central banks around the world have literally pumped trillions of dollars into the system over the last several years and the only thing they have really accomplished is to send stock markets to new highs and the enrichment of bankers who have had the benefit of money with no borrowing costs.

Other than that we are seeing a total destruction of the economy. Consumers aren’t buying. Decent jobs are nowhere to be found. And costs for average people are going up in the form of taxes and essential goods.

We can pretend like none of this matters, but the Baltic Dry Index is throwing up a clear warning sign of what’s to come.

If you have yet to prepare for the possibility of an economic disaster in the near future, now is the time.

      1. As me dad said who was in the finance world in the higher end till he bailed due to the ponzi nature and it’s growth things will fall/perhaps crash or slowly as they are now rot.No one can predict with accuracy a hard crash, only theorize different scenarios that would cause a hard/quickcrash,hence,till then, keep prepping but more importently enjoy today!

        • Absolutely Warchild. Look, we know this thing’s going to go under sooner or later. And I think a good number of people have been preparing for it for quite some time. We should take solace in knowing we are doing everything thing we can to insulate ourselves from the worst of it. And we should reward ourselves for our efforts by enjoying the good times as much as possible and for as long as possible!

          • Mac, bring back the red and green thumbs !

            • Working on it right now Rodster — We had to nuke the old system because it had been compromised. I think we might have something new shortly. (Hopefully!)

              Thanks!

              • Great artical. Been in a discussion w/ someone on this economy and the lies they see on tv and msm. Brought up Baltic Index and got the glazed eyeball look.

Drudge has a link saying Rahm Emanuels kid was robbed and face punched. Woulda thought such a VIP mayor would have had better security. Aint that interesting.

Dave is my all time favorite. I used to save all his videos….but then I got a new laptop a few years ago and I can’t seem to find the same YouTube Downloader that I used to have and all the ones I do find now, are junk and aren’t right there on the Youtube page like the old one was. Plus the download programs download junk on your computer…..really sucks because I wanted to be able to save all these videos to your computer for the day we have no internet.

                  Mac,
How the heck do you embed the video here?

                  • There is a download helper plugin for Firefox that allows you to download videos from Youtube and other web pages containing videos. I downloaded the plugin from sourceforge.

I am saving a lot of videos now.

                    • Do you remember the name of it?

I know the one I had and just got rid of last week, it came with some crap called RocketTab and it caused problems so I uninstalled.

I liked the one I used to have…..it wasn’t something you had to open….it just showed up on the youtube page after it was downloaded and all you had to was click on the box below the youtube video and voila.

                    • Thanks for the info brother.

                    • It’s called Video DownloadHelper and is on the following page:

                      ht tps://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/

Choosing to download takes you to the Sourceforge web site. I have downloaded a number of programs and plugins from there with no problems.

After you install it, it puts a little 3-circle icon at the right end of Firefox’s address bar. That gives you a list of web sites that have videos you can download. Or you can just go to YouTube or other video site. When there is a video on the page that you can download, a tiny triangle appears to the right of the 3-circle icon. Click on that, and the file name of the video appears. Sometimes there is more than one listed. Move your mouse cursor over the name of the video, and a list of actions appears. Choose “Download” and then tell it where to save. If it’s a really long video, it will take a few minutes. You may want to try the “Download and Convert” option, if you need the video to be in another format. I haven’t tried that yet, since I can play most types of videos and have video software for conversions, editing, and DVD authoring.

Sometimes the tiny triangle doesn’t appear until you have played part or all of the video. And sometimes the triangle doesn’t appear at all, so there are probably some types of video files that the program can’t handle. But it works on most of the videos I’ve tried it on.

                    • Thanks Archivist 🙂

                • Heh, I know the feeling. You got that glazed eyeball look because you brought up something that isn’t just sitting there on the surface of this issue. One has to dig a bit to find it and its significance. But it is good that you brought it up in the discussion. Maybe your friend learned something from that.

                • I guess “Congradulations” is in store for Obummer– his administration just destroyed Russia, economically. NOT that its a good thing– the West is always destroying some country! But if was obviously well thought out by TPTB and the bastards succeeded!

                • Two New York policemen executed in broad daylight by man who shot his girlfriend before bragging on Instagram that he was going to get revenge for deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown

“This is the man who shot dead two police officers in a sickening act of revenge for the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown.

Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley, 28, shot his former girlfriend in Baltimore County, Maryland, at 5.45am on Saturday morning then travelled 190 miles to Brooklyn, New York.

There, he fired a fatal round of bullets at recently-married officer Wenjian Liu and father-of-one Rafael Ramos – before turning the gun on himself.

Witnesses said Brinsley walked out of a home with a gun in his hand at 2.47pm, crept up behind the officers’ patrol car, and systematically shot both men in the head through the passenger window.”

#1. Obola will potentially use this to militarize the police even more, perhaps even a national police force in preparation for Federal martial law.

#3. Pro-Muslim Black Killer targeted law enforcement officers. Intentionally going after members of a profession. In contrast, Michael Brown and Eric Garner were violating the law the day they were killed.

#4. What role did the liberal media and other liberal pundits in their hate speech play in the assassinations of these two police officers?

#5. Rest in peace Officers Liu and Ramos. God be with their families during this time of grief.

                • “All the best to everyone here. We know what lies ahead”

Well, we sure think that we do. Problem is, how far ahead is it? No one knows. It seems close to a lot of us but then we’ve been thinking that for a while now and it still hasn’t come. Like the fall of the Roman and the British Empires, these things seem to drag on and one, taking decades and even centuries to fully unravel.

Still, it is entirely possible that a lot of bad stuff could occur during the collapse process. Always remember that collapse is likely to be a process and not an event. There WILL be some major events along the way, of course, but in the larger scheme of things, these are not THE collapse, just some major signs of it.

IMO, we have entered the collapse phase already so we can all quit wondering when it is coming. It’s not coming: it’s here now. The leading edge has passed us already and included Libya, Syria, ISIS, Ukraine, etc. Cyber war is being waged. Economic war is being waged. Financial war is being waged. False flags are fluttering in the breeze. How long can be it before some heavy duty armed conflict ensues? Probably not all that long… months? A year? Probably not longer much than that.

                  Got preps?

                  • While it’s instructive to compare the collapse of the British empire with Rome, there is a very important difference. Gibbons’ work gives great insight, and hope, into the roman collapse and I can imagine how it must have felt to be an educated roman in 400ad watching it all swirl down the drain.

Our current empire is actually just an extension of the previous British empire. Look at the globe today as we do Rome in AD500 until 1400 or so. Britain, and it’s colonies, still dominates the world. Just compare Britain, combined with the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, with Rome, and it’s territories, post the “collapse” of the Roman Empire.

It didn’t collapse everywhere equally, and at the same rate, before and isn’t now either. Just as the eastern empire of Rome carried on for another 1000 years, the extensions of the British empire have carried on too.

Here’s the big difference: the rate of change and technological change has been increasing exponentially. The life of the average person didn’t change all that much during the Roman empire’s reign. The life, and the way the world was viewed, wasn’t drastically different from 2000 years earlier. A peasant in 300AD lived much the same as a peasant in 1400AD.

Flash forward to today. When I was in college, one of my professors told how his mom had moved to Oklahoma in a covered wagon in the 1890’s. She lived to watch a man walk on the moon. If one of us had been laying in that wagon and reflecting, we could easily have related to a roman peasant from 300bc. Our lives wouldn’t have been so different that we couldn’t relate.

Now try and imagine a roman understanding electricity, computers, hydrazine, vacuum, and synthetic materials required to get to the moon.

Now try to understand how advanced technology will be when your grandchildren are old. It will be more incomprehensible to us than a lady in a covered wagon imagining a man walking on the moon.

The collapse will happen much faster today than for the Romans.

              • Mac,

Great article! Thanks for the thumbs, but I am glad you took it down when you did because the system was getting abused big time and literally closing down postings. Concerning the economy, all is not what it seems on the surface. When the collapse occurs many will be unprepared, not for lack of forewarning by you and others and all the great folks who post here. In spite of his detractors, I have come to recognize, respect and value the insights of the Durango Kidd. I wish BI and JOG would come back. Please let them know that we miss them. There is room for everyone’s insightful postings and observations.

We in Louisiana send you and your family our best wishes for a Merry Christmas! I was a regular at Ms. Pennington’s site before I came here. I only learned this past year that she was your wife. I love her book and her 52 weeks to preparedness series.

              • Mac,

Thanks for bringing back the thumbs!!

          • The Baltic is one indicator..

            but..

the movement of credit default swaps and currency wars now engaged worldwide is another indicator…the transfer of wealth and manipulation via the world bank, imf, central banks and other conglomerates of finance is the only growth sector now..

we are witnessing massive infusion by the fed , here, and other nations, into the ponzi stock market..

one can only imagine the deals being played behind the curtains.

            possee

            • Speaking of deals, the Sheeple are out in force in Arizona for “Super Saturday”. They have no clue that the economy is about to flush their world down the shitter.

              Or they don’t care.

Just saying, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Christmas sales above last year’s number unless a massive snowstorm strikes the Mid West and East Coast.

              Its crazy out there!!! 🙂

              • DurKiddy. So people in the US are spending all their wortless USDollars on Tangible items like they are doing in Russia eh? I went out last Nt in some bars, looked like everybody was paying for drinks with credit cards. Yikes…I was getting rid of my worthless cash on over prices drinks. The best part was I got a phone number from this hottie 10 body. She just texted me back. Its on!! She was wearing black leather boots up to her thighs and a short school girl skirt n DD’s.. lol

                • Yes, and when you give her $500 with your credit card it boosts GDP. When you give her Franklin’s direct there is no impact on GDP.

Be a Patriot. Do the right thing. 🙂

                  • the keynesian kidd says:

“Be a Patriot. Do the right thing.”

                    Translation: Take on more debt.

Debt to GDP is at an all time high. Demand is absolutely dead except for the flooding of debt that continues to bury the average consumer. That does not equate to economic growth. It’s just cash flowing today rather than tomorrow. Our economy is dead. If you take away the increases to household debt, you end up with negative GDP.

                    • Almost correct. The economy isn’t dead yet, but is on its death bed, on the life-support of the Fed Reserve’s printing presses.

It is that ongoing flurry of printing FRNs to the banksters that is fueling the credit crisis buildup. People are buying and buying with money they don’t have, giving the false signal that the economy is growing because spending is up, building up the debt bubble that is about to burst, and in a very bad way.

You see the plastic cards being pulled out wherever you go. The banksters are loving it.

But when the banksters finally give their signal to the Fed Reserve to stop the printing, then it will burst with skyrocketing interest rates on all that accumulated debt. The banksters will own the debt-ridden consumers.

Enjoy the middle class today. It will soon cease to exist. The sooner you cut up your plastic and pay off any debts with variable rates, the better off you will be.

                    • YMWW: “Debt to GDP is at an all time high”. Not so. At least not for government debt to GDP, which is about 106%. Government debt to GDP was 125% after WWII and declining.

                      That’s a big difference.

Debt (leverage) is always manageable when revenue is increasing. Individual debt is very high, but if an individual doesn’t know how to manage his/her money and goes bankrupt because they cannot keep their spending in check; then they deserve to go bankrupt.

As an anarchist, you must surely believe in the personal freedom to spend yourself into oblivion. 🙂

                    • the keynesian kidd says:

“Individual debt is very high, but if an individual doesn’t know how to manage his/her money and goes bankrupt because they cannot keep their spending in check; then they deserve to go bankrupt.”

                      LMAO.

What if we swap “Individual” for “US Government” in DKs quote?

                      Let’s see…

“US government” debt is very high, but if the “US government” doesn’t know how to manage the peoples money and goes bankrupt because they cannot keep their spending in check; then they deserve to go bankrupt.”

Would you agree with that statement DK?

Somehow I suspect not. You will find some way to spin the obvious into “oblivion!” The obvious being: The US government is bankrupt!

The boot you lick is busted DK. You know it to be true!!!

                    • YMWW: I do not support massive government spending and believe that the Federal government should be cut in half, both in personnel and budget outlays. I was noting for the record that, historically, government debt to GDP is not that high.

Individuals however have a right, and a responsibility to themselves to use their money as they see fit. Except of course in the case of Britney Spears (and others like her) who until recently was a ward of the Courts with her money managed by her father.

Otherwise Liberty Lovers should endorse the right of an individual too spend their money as they see fit. Its a natural right. 🙂

                    • @ the durango kidd:

I said: “You will find some way to spin the obvious.”

                      LOL… I was right!

The central banking NWO troll known as the durango kidd rides again.

                      Who is that masked man???

                  • DK…..”Doing the right thing” is stopping the debt monster which enslaves humanity.
Seems to me using cash is the “right thing” to do.
Perhaps you support Debt To Infinity?
                    Wouldn’t surprise many around here.
                    Merry Xmas.

                    • AWBS: No I do not support “debt to infinity’ and my posts reflect that. I do support the right of individuals to spend their money any way they want and to borrow whatever much they can afford if they can find someone to lend them money.

Its not a debt issue. Its a personal freedom issue.

Governments however must and should be held accountable to the people. engage your employees or be enslaved by them one tax and spend Congress at a time. 🙂

                • just remember, those legs go up to make an ASS of themselves!

              • Christmas is great, just remember to buy things appropriate, for the times they are a changing!

I’ll be getting Bowie Knives for for a some. All weather keep warm tee shirts for some. Three packs of Israeli trauma bandages for each households first aid kit.

              • “Its crazy out there!!! :-)”

It sure as Hell is. In fact, just when we think it absolutely can’t get any nuttier out there, it does!

Weird thing is, the stores are VERY crowded now with full parking lots and huge numbers of people swarming in and out of the stores. Many are value shopping, so only buy when the deals are sweetest.

          • Investors are playing with fire. Many will be severely burned.

            • Agreed. CITI thinks that putting the taxpayers on the hook for $300 TRILLION of bad debt will save them… LOL.

Not when our peak GDP was $15T and we’re probably 20% lower than that (in real inflation adjusted dollars). We had to borrow from the Chinese, until t hey cut up our credit cards; now we’re just printing it with no buyers of our debt instruments.

When we get to that point, it’s only a matter of time.

              • Yeah, I love how they throw that $300T number around as if it had any meaning whatever. It doesn’t because it is absolutely not payable. If the US Gov cannot pay off or even pay down on $18T, WhoTF thinks that the people of this country have ANY chance of paying a bill that is nearly 17 times that?

Instead of continuing to screw with this, the US needs to default, clean up the balance sheet, go to a money system that is backed by something real, such as wheat, corn, oil and gas, land, PMs, etc. AND then live within our income. None of the “wouldn’t it be nice if…” items are affordable, so all of those would be cut except for those in verifiable dire need. People need to get off their butt and fend for their own financial future, rather than shuffling that responsibility off onto their fellow citizens.

          • Too much stuff just doesnt add up!

            • No problem when 97% of the community no longer have even the most basic maths skills.
All by design of course….all by design.

          • Lets not forget that oil is down, a lot, heck gas prices are down from a high of 4 dollars a gallon to less than 2. How dose falling oil pries translate into this since the BDI tacks the cost of transporting goods?

            • I was thinking the exact same thing.

        • I just wanted to bring up at this time how important (IMHO) it is to buy as much will be hard to find barter items as you can. I am on a kick right now with two things. Vanilla (liquid form and coffee (beans). Because of where these items come from in Soth America they will be very hard to find anywhere for a long time.

If you will notice the Ruble is going south and the Russian people are buying anything they can get thier hand’s on. From furnishings to plywood, anything goes. That will be the same here if and when the dollar goes south on us Americans.

          BigB

          • BigB, I commend you for your creative thinking in re these barter items. Let’s remind those newer to this endeavor to first obtain the basics needed for survival after collapse so that they will be around to participate in future world of bartering.

            • The basics are easy: Beans – Bullets – Band Aids.

Everything else is icing on the cake. 🙂

              BigB

              • Fed &B,good time to relink this article for some basics fairly cheaply:ht tp://americanpreppersnetwork.com/2012/08/a-year-of-food-storage-for-300-for-a-family-of-four.html ,as always, space between http to avoid moderation wait, tis basic but a excellent start.

          • BigB. Did you know women wear vanilla extract as perfume, cause its like doe in heat scent that attracts men. Strippers wear it. Just saying, from a professional who told me this. LoL

            • i’m SURE I would GO for it!

          • Russian GDP will skyrocket in the 4th quarter. 🙂

        • The Funny part is that only 10% of Americans are invested or financially trapped in the stock market and own 80% of the stocks. The other 80% doesn’t participate If The DOW Market can rise 420 Pts in a day for no reason, it can also surely drop 2000 points for no reason if just a few “Market Makers” all decide on the count of 1,2,3 to sell everything. The littlest of investor will be holding the bag. The stock market Bubble is at least 30% oversold above fair market value. Its a dangerous game to play, worse than Vegas.

          • WWHTI: No there are “breakers” in place to prevent a 2,000 point drop in the DOW. You talk about something you know nothing about.

Then there is the Plunge Protection Team standing by to reverse course. A Crash will have to been a sustained decline occurring over a period of time, not unlike the 8% correction between October 15 and the 21st.

BTW, didn’t someone here pick EXACTLY those dates for the Crash a month in advance? Who was that masked man? It’s in the archives folks!!! 🙂

            • Too funny Durango boomerang kiddy giving financial advice. Those are momentium tapping the breaks. The market could sell off 5000 points in a day if it wanted. What do you think all those electronic computers do when its all going down bigtime. The will sell according to the algorythems. I used to day trade so I know what can happen. Not sure what you do for a living? How about fill us in?

              • “Used to day trade”? I guess you are part of the 90% of day traders who do not make a profit, and quit after the market sucks your account dry. Or maybe you have made so much money you have retired from the Great Bull Market?

A real day trader is a not a “used to be”. A real day trader would not exit this Great Bull Market because they are heart and soul, an optimist: a greedy optimist.

A real day trader has that fire in their belly for risk and the high that it gives. Maybe you are in therapy instead, after going for broke and achieving your goal.

No the market cannot sell off 5,000 points in a single day anymore, even if it wants too. Those days are over. Trading would be stopped if the Plunge Protection Team cannot stop the bleeding.

That’s why the next crash will start like a new bear market that continues day after day after day, infusing day traders and speculators with fear; and they will keep selling, and selling, and selling. Day after day after day, using every uptick to unload their shares on a dead cat bounce.

Me? If you had been for here any length of time you would know that I live on my Gimme Dat Nation Membership Card.

                Membership has its privileges. 🙂

                • You Duranged Kiddy have no idea what you are talking about as usual. And stop playing with matches. You are the idiot that claimed Saudi cost to produce a barrel of oil was like $85 when it is only like $4. You claimed Gold never dropped below $1200 this year when I posted the date Nov 5 when it wad $1134. Now here again you are shooting off your trap about trading stocks or how the market works. You have little credibility.

                  • WWHTI: No, I never claimed that gold “never went below $1200 an ounce this year”. After it hit $1200 when it bottomed in the Spring, it rallied higher before dropping back later in the summer. I picked the Spring bottom, EXACTLY.

                    Check the chart brainiac.

Gold has been languishing around $1196 an oz. Any wall street pundit or day trader, would LOVE to come so close to knowing the stabilized price.

                    Eat your heart out dumbshit.

As for Saudi oil the cost to extract is about $2 a barrel not $4 as you claim (as opposed to American shale at $20 a barrel), but Saudi Arabia has leveraged its economy up to the point that it needs about $100 a barrel to avoid a deficit.

As for the crash, it will eventually happen as what goes up must come down and we will see who is correct with respect to the 2,000 and 5,000 point one day drop. Its not your daddy’s DOW anymore. Catch up.

Is your grasping at straws the reason that you are a “use to be day trader”? 🙂

                    • Duranged Kiddy – You are wrong again. You claimed that Gold bottom this year was in March, according to your Zog Bloomberg data. Then I said No, it was like $1135 in Nov 5th 2014. So what part of that don’t you understand? And Oil is at least $4 per barrel to produce in Saudi not $85, and now you want to claim it is only $2? You smoking crack and can;t remember anything you spew regarding financial anything. I suggest you go play with matches..

I want you to go find any link you can to support your $2 claim on Saudi Oil to produce. Produce a link to support your claims or you are full of BS as usual.

                    • WWHTI: No I didn’t say that gold bottomed in MARCH, I said it bottomed in late Spring. I don’t know where you live, but where I live, June 21st is the first day of Summer.

Give it up you are just making an ass of yourself. LMAO!!! 🙂

                • “A real day trader would not exit this Great Bull Market because they are heart and soul, an optimist: a greedy optimist.

A real day trader has that fire in their belly for risk and the high that it gives.”

Yeah….like the high of US Forces SLAUGHTERING innocent thousands across the globe, so that the Wall St punchbowl, alread y cracked and glued together, can continually be kept spiked for ASSWIPES that make their living from it.
Are you one of those DK? Do you applaud and stand for theFilth them?
Suggest you go to the dictionary and check the meaning of a few words: First….Usury. Second….Filth. Third….Karma.

                  • AWBS: I do not own any stocks except in my own companies. Any one who buys a public company is asking to get screwed, short changed, and your equity stolen through management warrants and options.

Particularly mining companies this late into the cycle. Mining companies should be avoided until the next great depression is over and a new, REAL business cycle begins. Don’t buy the hype.

                    Buyer beware. 🙁

          • There are no more market makers. That was when he market was still legit and there were actual trades based on real financials. What we have now is the Fed manipulation market with the taxpayers money.

        • Correct, no one can predict when the hard crash will occur. All one can do is guess. Hell, very few even saw an oil price crash.

OTOH, a hard crash or collapse is a 100% mathematical certainty. With crooks and thieves all over the world running the financial institutions it’s anyone’s guess when that will happen.

          • Rodster: Someone here had been saying for two years that the world was AWASH in oil & gas. That’s an oversupply. It causes a BIG price drop when demand is declining too.

Who was that masked man??? 🙂

            • The only reason oil prices dropped is because Obama and the Saudi’s wanted them lower to stop US fracking.

Baltic dry goods tracks the price of moving goods. Lower oil prices makes it cheaper to move products. This drop in the Baltic dry goods index likely reflects the drop in the cost of energy needed to move goods, though a slowdown is happening as well.

The common folk won’t know for a couple months what’s really happening.

            • So I have been in the oilfield for 25 yrs the price for oil should be 75 per barrel the crash was politics we barely cover demand now, yes they say we produce 1.5 mill barrels more a day than needed but that’s a drop in the bucket compared to the 90 mill barrels we use daily world wide, so we will see the markets collapse by June 2015, then shortly after we will go to war with Russia why do I say this? It’s simple when there is financial collapse what is the best thing to fix it, WW3

YOU SHITBAG OLD BOOMER BOOTLICKERS HAD BRAINWASHED ME INTO THINKING AMERIKKKA WAS HONEST AND FAIR AND TURE UNTIL I WOKE UP AND FOR THAT YOU OLD BASTARDS CAN ROT IN HELL.**

          • You mean Venezuela. Columbia is in cahoots with the NWO. 🙁

            • Apologies. I misspoke myself.

              • No harm; no foul. Just a point of order for the discussion. 🙂

          • Acid is off his meds again and his EBT card crashed again. He’s ranting about us old people again. He’ll have to explain to his blowup doll that some old person kicked his ass…..again.

            • Jim in VA, I just gave you thumbs up for that one. Isn’t it great to have the thumbs back? That’s what makes this site really worthwhile. If acid/eisenturd could be kept away from a computer, that would really help. At least now I can give him thumbs down again.

              • Why are you so goo-goo-gaa-gaa over the stupid thumbs? So childish!

                • Agreed
Too many times the narrative on this site turns to thumbs

              • Braveheart, I’ll keep on him he adds little to any discussion. Its all about him.

            • Jim—>

Actually…my money is on..him getting really sexually excited w/ said doll..and chompin’ on her nipple too hard…

..then pfsssst/whoosh -(exhausting air)-…out she flies, outta the bedroom window!

          • Acid/eisenturd, Venezuela is the country that commie POS Chavez has ruined, NOT Colombia. No one here brainwashed you about anything. You go rot in hell and suck an egg yourself!

            • RB – Chevez is dead. Like your credit worthyness. You couldn’t even buy a dozen eggs with your credit to suck on. Acid posted that he mentioned the wrong country. He stands corrected like a man. You have little credibility or dept of knowledge like duranged kiddy.

              • WWTI, I’ll be civil in my response to you. I know Chavez is dead and glad for that. I don’t use credit for anything because I don’t want it or even need it. I’ve NEVER bought into the hype that people cannot live without credit. I’ve been debt-free for my whole life so I’m living proof that someone can survive in this world without credit. I noticed that acid posted he mentioned the wrong country and I’ll respond to that soon enough. I don’t mind someone questioning my credibility on occasion. I know how to live with that. But I do have more knowledge on various subjects than you could ever imagine. Go ahead and believe what you want; I don’t care. As far as DK is concerned, I don’t agree with him on everything but I will be civil to him regardless. The only reason I don’t have “credit worthiness” is because my income level is supposedly too low for it; so be it. I’m not drowning in debt on anything. I’m debt-free and someone is going to call me a moron? Go figure. have a good day, WWTI.

          • We don’t like you. Doesn’t matter what you post.

          • Acid,

The YouTube piece is about the building of the Panama Canal, I am not sure how you mixed up Panama with Columbia and Venezuela. Are you all right?

              • Acid,

              • Because you are full of BS most the time

              • Acid, I’m only now catching your post about you admitting to your mistake. My apologies.

                • Thank you RB. We all make mistakes or misquote. If I make one call me out. We’ll get the right answer.

                  • WWTI, that’s OK, apology accepted. I know who my real enemies are and to my knowledge they are NOT online.

                    • Deal. But they may be online monitoring..

                    • So is RBH giving an appology to Acid and then accepting it himself, or is Acid, RBH and WWTI all three the same person???

          • Acid itch,
I bet you mom regrets hat she did not drop you on your head more often. You are one messed up bag of shit.

            • acid’s mom dropped him on his head??…hell, she THREW HIM ACROSS THE ROOM!!!

      2. You could not have said it any better.

There is NO demand for goods or oil…every one is broke or in debt.

        • They (WE) sure are.

If you ask me, the economic collapse is not some future event. It is a very real event that is happening right here and now.

          • It is happening now , as a builder ALL the work i have performed this season has been for “wealthy” folks shoreing up their homes or other assets.
Lawyers wanting saferooms , building 1800sq ft cabins on remote properties ETC.
But i have not performed one project for some borrowing money from a bank.
That should be an indicator in itself .

            • Come on Hammer…. obama finished telling us all how GREAT things are yesterday and how well of blacks are under his ruling, error, I mean leadership.

What you say just can’t be true (sarc/off)

            • $400K+ house new construction just sold by me. The upper income brackets are buying still with confidence.

          • Rod and Mac,would rather not the thumbs as if someone posts something egregious or perhaps great take the time to respond with a post, tis what a community is about.I personally did not care for articles/posts disappearing with enuff thumbs down and had to click to read, just let us see it at least and respond to it directly if we disagree.I understand the need to keep out right spam out and if someone advocates say rape and killing kittens they should be banned but even then isp whacks can take out say a library computer address thus keeping other more sane(?) folks from posting. That all said, tis your playground Mac so do as you wish,Rod,well, come back if you disagree when thumbs back and running and down thumb me post!

            • Hmmmm….,seems the thumbs came back while writing this post above,if I was paranoid……

              • OK,am officially paranoid!I went to another site(actually a good article will link here later)and lo&behold, now,no thumbs but test 1&2,is the koreans up north acting up again?!

              • “Am I then become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?”

                Galatians 4:16

The thumbs are for the enemies of truth who hope to hide the truth.

                • I agree JQP.

Interesting development with these thumbs. The posts I seen had it at least 50/50 if not a majority for not having these silly facebook like thumbs come back, yet here they are? That tells me that either I missed a whole lot of posts in favor of bringing them back or Mac has a favorite who was crying about missing them.

                  • C’mon BJ they’re so colorful! 🙂

As mentioned, it won’t be hiding comments again like before.

                    • I guess I just don’t understand the preference for them? They seem kinda, well young, for lack of a tactful term.

                    • They are Christmas colors bud,,,
                      Merry Christmas!

                    • Mac thanks for bringing back the thumbs

                  • BJ, Mac never plays favorites, so get off that.

            • Warchild, thanks for your feedback here. I think in general most folks would like the thumbs to return and we may have found a pretty good app plugin to handle this. We will not, however, be hiding posts based on thumbs (I am not even sure if it is even a feature with this plugin).

Still kind of testing here, but this one looks to be decent and hopefully will not be as susceptible to being compromised as the previous one.

              Thanks All!

              -mac

              • Seems to be working now,was getting worried the thumbs got hacked! They also seemed to get going soon after Sarge requested their return so he gets a holiday bonus!I suppose the reds and greens cool for the holiday and all.As I said in another post, folks, please use the “powres of the thumbs”wisely!

            • To SHTFPLAN: My Persona Plea- I highly recommend now that the Voting is backup to please stick to the topic of the article, or some other news worthy event unrolling with links. Please NO more cut and paste stupid 5th grade stuff, that has zero relevancy. Posting stupid lamebrain crap only attracts more lazy lame brains. Lets attract real preppers and patriots as our “READY INFORMED ARMY” to defend our country and people. So lets stick to good topic comments and keep calling out liars thieves and fraudsters HIJACKING OUR DEMOCRACY. Only BY posting the truth will it keep us free. Truthful Information is Power!!

                • No doubt eppe you are all ass cause your brain has little depth to discuss any issue or relevant topic. So you must be a Jew lover? Defending the Zog are ya. The NWO is your friend? So we see where you stand. Put your own daughter in the line of fire like a coward you are. Tell us all again how you are prepping for the Sun to burn up? This should be good and laughable.

          • I have to disagree based upon my observations in Arizona. Other regions may vary, but shoppers here are out in force every day all over the Valley.

At times like these I drive all day to see what is happening on the ground. The two thirds of Americans unaffected by current conditions impacting the 100 million out of work and 50 million on food stamps, are buying like there is no tomorrow.

Not unlike holders of rubles I might add.

The FED has shown it does not need the participation of these people to support the economy or the markets. The oil price cut is a game changer and will stimulate business dramatically.

This merry-go-round is not going to stop anytime soon without a major event; and there are many candidates for that. Just saying, it ain’t over til the little fat lady starts yellin’. 🙂

            • Nobama you’re barking up the wrong tree so let’s forget about that.

        • JR,there is “less” demand, not no demand as evidenced by gas and oil deliveries daily/stores open with folks buying ect.I do agree there is a tightening of the belts for folks financially excepting the truly rich, say a 1/2 billion or better.Still see insane price rises in super high end/desirable(for some!)real estate.I do still find work out there, sure, more cash/barter but still work and a cash/barter economy in growth actually makes me feel good as folks moving away from the “system”as much as possible and hence cutting a little funding for the govt.

          • Warchild, I’ve been prepping for the economic collapse forever. Concentrating on more food and water for now. During the summer bought a bunch of items for barter. I believe 2015 is when it all comes apart. Also, don’t forget the goldfish.

            • AH,the delectable little goldfish cracker!I love the little guys but they are one of my little while times OK treats, going gets really rough be glad just for coffee, even without milk. That said, may be buying some new land,if do,will definitely have goats to milk and browse thus caring for themselves many months of the year, coffee,as much as I can store!

              • Warchild, I’m also a hardcore coffee drinker from way back when. I try not to touch the goldfish as much now. They are HARD to put down. Coffee and goldfish are only 2 of my preps.

            • Here’s how to make your own goldfish:

              ht tp://tastykitchen.com/blog/2011/09/homemade-goldfish-crackers/

              Only 5 ingredients!

              • Arch, mint, thanks for link! They even show how to make little fish molds!I know,in the end of times making goldfish crackers probably not high on priority list but with winter setting in could see a entertaining project some cold snowy day.I feel Arch would be corrupted if I used the powers of the thumb so consider this a verbal thumbs up,thanks again!

                • Anytime. My wife has been buying a lot of goldfish lately, those large milk carton type boxes that hold about a gallon.

      3. Come on now , We cant be bothered by common sense or logic. According to everyother indicator , we have a soaring and robust economy, new jobs and prosperity are being created everyday.
Hell i dont live anywhere near the Baltics.

        • Totally… a few squiggly lines on a piece of paper is all i see in those “charts” up there!

          • AHH YES , Livin the dream…. LMAO.
            Not gonna worry today !

Pot luck supper , I plan to stuff my face .
Hope ya’ll are having a woderful Christmas season !

              • Having an excellent Christmas season,
Running a load of vennison jerky in my dehydrator and made 21 bottles of Dill pickles today,
                Merry Christmas

                • kulafarmer, Your post made me laugh. A little girl, about 8 or 9, was going thru the crowd at a basketball game handing out elk jerky. It was quite good by the way.

                • Kula,

It is always good to read your posts. If I may ask a seemingly stupid question, how did you get venison in Hawaii?

Merry Christmas to you and yours. I have a dear friend who lives over there.

                  • We have Axis deer by the tens of thousands on Maui, and i have access to a couple areas to hunt, no season, year round, had a wet summer so good feed for them and are real healthy, clean looking animals this year,

                    • Kula,

Those Axis are both prolific and beautiful and are also ‘great eatin’. I have some in the freezer. I prefer it over the other game that I hunt. The best deer that I have ever eaten is ‘barking deer’. Some venison for Christmas Eve sounds great!

                  • And Thank you,
                    Merry Christmas!

                • We’re making banana chips tonight in our dehydrator.

                  • Love the bananna chips, i have a ton of apple bananna trees on our place, peel them and cut the banannas length wise then stir them around with lemon juice and lay them in the dehydrator, they get leathery, or can take them all the way to petrified if i want them to keep longer, just need to let them sit a bit open on the counter before eating them and they rehydrate enough to be able to chey on.

                  • Bananas give me gas. 🙁

              • Red Leader,

Thanks for the url. A couple of days back someone posted a video of folks hunting with nothing but spears. It was pitiful to watch them kill the hapless and terrified animals but especially the elephant and the hippos.

It occurred to me that this was probably what it was like during the massacres in Ruanda when the Tutsis were killed in the tens of thousands by the majority Hutu using nothing but knives and clubs as they fanned out into the Tutsi communities and searched for Tutsis living among them. This same scenario could play out here as those in the inner city spread out enmass armed only with knives and machetes. Some call it the ‘purge’. It will be like the scenes in the movie, ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’.

The best and most prudent strategy will be to get the hell out of dodge before all this happens. It will not be possible to pull enough triggers when they swarm arrives. Set defensive positions will be overrun very quickly as they lay siege to homes and bunkers.

Those who stay behind had better be prepared to die by a thousand cuts like those poor hippos. I hope I am not fear-mongering but this is a very likely scenario in the near future. Many have already warned that the coming riots will be worse than those ever seen in America.

There is something to be said about ‘strength in numbers’ but without defensive and offensive means one can become a random target much like those herds of Cape Buffalo as they charged pass the waiting men with spears who randomly hurled them into the herd. May God have mercy upon us all.

Merry Christmas Sir, to you and your family from Louisiana!

                laeagle

                • No doubt that spear chucking film reminds me of the Blankhawk down movie. Just wait when the EBT system crashed and the spear chuckers go after neighborhood cats and dogs. About a year ago I read where a black guy out of Tampa FL, killed his dog and was cooking a leg on the stove. The ribs were in the freezer. He said he did it cause he was hungry. So its already going on.

          • Mac, you gave us the thumbs back! GOODY GOODY! WOOHOO! Now we can have fun like we used to.

            • Hopefully we’ll be able to add private messaging and user ID’s in the near future (don’t worry though, anonymous post will still be allowed!)

              • Mac, the private messaging and user ID will be a really nice touch. It’s a real dilemma when someone makes a post under the anonymous moniker. Sometimes someone will make a sensible post under that name and I can give that one a thumbs up. But any stupid post under that same name I have to give a thumbs down. So you absolutely have to read the post before you can determine whether to give a thumb up or down. Glad to see the thumbs back and they look better than ever.

      4. If the cost of fuel is down by half shouldn’t that make the cost of shipping go down by half?
        Just sayen….

        • Egore, you still have folks maintaining the shipping trucks/buildings ect. who hopefully have not half wages cut in half.Fear not, soon robots popped out of #D makers will replace em and costs will go down!

        • You make a good point but the 50% drop in oil prices is not repeated at the pumps when i fill up my car and you can bet the same is true of shipping costs.

Yes we should see a drop of 25% in the Baltic but not 50%

        • No, not even close. Huge portion of the cost of those freight carrier is paying off the mortgage.

        • Egore, since the cost of fuel is only a fraction of what is involved in shipping (maintenance of vessels and loading equipment, wages, country fees, dock costs, etc); so the answer is no. Why do people think that when oil goes down in price everything else should should go down automatically? Businesses pay months in advance at higher prices, so why should they take a loss just so that people can save a few bucks at the pump? There is more involved, there are many thousands of jobs at stake.

        • No Corporation will pass on any savings, as their Greed will continue until there is honest competition of supply and demand. I recent CNBC Business discussion just that question such as roofing shingles which are made from petroleum products. Until that higher priced shingle is sitting on the shelf in inventory, then sold, it will be sold at that higher rate. So look for a year lapse in real decreased pricing for somethings like building materials. Corporations will use this laps to suck up more profit at our expense. You can be sure Fed-X and UPS will keep their pricing in check until well after the holiday shopping season. The Airlines Industry has no interest in dropping any pricing. They are greedy thieves nickle and dimming everybody for as long as then can. Do like me, Stop flying.

        • The cost of gasoline has went down. the cost of diesel fuel hasn’t fallen much. and there are a lot of cost incurred by shippers that are rising things like insurance-taxes- repairs ect.

      5. Hammer, what are you bringing, find a lot of dishes the same at those types of events, tis fine, still good eats but thought to one community center event would bring borscht, figure no one gonna do that, need I say more?!Yep,someone else also brought a pot of it,we laughed but both were a little ticked as we thought we being so creative! The other was actually a cute soccer mom but alas was wearing a ring! The next time I do something like that or a bring some to party thing chips and soda it is!Have fun and enjoy!

        • WARCHILD , Every year i bring a big primerib roast.
RIP , Ben the angus steer .
YA , alot of green bean cassiroles LOL .
The old folks are encouraged to show up empty handed.
They carried the day years ago.
Lots of very low income folks here , but its allways a good time to bring up certain preparedness subjects.
There will also be an apple pie baking contest and i am happy to say that i wil be one of three judges , YA!
Gotta live for the good times my friend .

      6. I have been a Tool & Die Maker for about 25 years during my working life. I am 57 years old now and I have MS and am in a wheel chair. I have been home now for 10 years. If times were like they once were, when I was working. I would try to do anything just to be working if things were not so bad. I have never seen the U.S. in such a state of decline in my life. Obama gets on the radio and tells us how great things are. Lies and B.S. from someone who has never had a job in his life. He has always been a parasite feeding off of someone else. The Tax Payer. The collapse is just around the corner. God have mercy on us. Its going to get ugly when the wheels fall off.

        • Rex, on a personal note, I would like to suggest you look into vitamin D as way to manage MS. I am told that a typical vitamin D blood level is 20 ng/mL but those with MS need to elevate it to 100 ng/mL. Typically this requires 10,000 international units a day and often more. I hope you google it and learn enough to take action. Keep in mind a lot of doctors are not trained in this stuff, so you are probably on your own. If TSHTF, machinists of all stripes will be desperately needed so I hope you will be able to help with the big job of rebuilding society.

          • Rex & Prepper—>

            I wish I could give you both a 1k thumbs up…

            Rex, for his skill/talent/knowledge..

Prepper, for his intelligence to recognize such..

..as nowadays, a good old-school tool-n-die man, is as rare…as lips on a chicken!

          • Prepper, Rex,

Purity Products has a Vitamin D product that is about 5000 units per capsule. Really great stuff. I have tried it. Most people do have low Vitamin D levels but it is always a good idea to have levels checked. There is a lot of awareness of Vitamin D deficiency out there and a lot of great articles have been written and research being done. Some have called it the new ‘Miracle Vitamin’. A word of caution, too much of the vitamin has been known to cause kidney stones and metastatic calcifications. A daily dose (15-20 minutes) of sunshine is suppose to help our skins make the basic form of the vitamin which then gets upgraded in the liver and the kidneys to its fully potent form.

We send you our best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Louisiana.

            Louisiana Eagle

            • Good morning,
I learned last year that I had low levels of vitamin d. It turns out to be a chain of circumstances related to persistent heartburn.
#1: omeprazole (or similar) taken daily blocks calcium uptake.
#2: calcium is needed to synthesize vitamin d.
I’ve been trying to find a substitute for omeprazole which won’t block calcium uptake. Maybe there’s another way to treat chronic heartburn . (Ideas?) Left untreated, it can lead to cancer and ulceration of the esophagus.

              • O-watch—

A teaspoon of straight baking-soda..chased w/ a moderate-sized glass of water, will bring near instant relief, lasting hours…ditto, will provide a small boost to your energy levels, as well.

..the taste is a bit rough, though.

                Good luck!

                • Dissolve the baking soda in the water. It works the same and is easier to take. Vitamin D3 is good for the brain against Alzheimer’s and will pass through the blood/brain barrier to attack plaque build up.

20 minutes in the sun is equivalent to about 15,000 IU Adjust for YOUR size. Doses are not equal. 🙂

              • Believe it or not, but a shot of vinegar will cure acid indigestion.

              • Over watch, sunshine is required to manufacturer vitamin D. Sunblock use and the further the distance you live from the equator effects vitamin d levels. Vitamin d is required for calcium absorption and storage. That’s why you often see vit d with calcium in supplements.

                • Thanks guys. I’ll try the baking soda for a while and see how it works. My mother’s father was accidentally killed when he was given rat poison instead of what he thought was baking soda. Happened in the Depression in Fall River, Ma. I’ll ensure it’s properly labelled.
And to JRS, I have heard about the vinegar. It has to do with forcing your stomach to regain a neutral PH. I could try that too. You do get a malaise when the vitamin D is low.
Rex, I wish you the best. I see people with MS every day. The patients I see have flare ups only rarely. Mostly I see them monthly to deliver solumedrol IV medication. They’re all doing well. No wheelchairs even after all these years. Every situation is different. I don’t know how you’re doing but you will be in my prayers tonight.

                  • GOD’s blessings unto you OW…for your dedication/compassion to those stricken.

                    ..and Merry Christmas to you!

        • Right on Rex, Hang in there bud. Have a merry Christmas.

      7. All I ask is that we though 2014. We have had enough B.S. with Obullshit playing his games this year we need a break.
We all know that we are heading for a collapse. I would really like to see it stay quiet for at least the next 2 weeks.

        Mac:
I see you are trying to add the thumbs. Thanks we needed them. do you have an idea when they are going to work.
        Thanks again.
        Sgt.

        • Well Sarge, you got your thumbs,a holiday gift from Mac!I hope you plan to use the power of these thumbs wisely!

        • Sarge, you sound pretty skookum to me, hope you have good holidays. I’ll give you encouragement from Alice in Wonderland that I tell lots of my friends “Keep your head:-) God Bless.

          • Old Cop
Thanks. Same to you and yours also.
Did you see where two of our brothers where executed. I’m was feeling good after reading Warchild’s post. now I feel like S#$T.
We all to pray for them.
            Sgt.

            • Why the hell are there thumbs down on this? Mac brings ’em back and you thumbsuckingpansy assed baby boy whiners can’t wait to start in again! Every post I’ve seen so far has at least one! Grow up boys! What a bunch of wieners! And you talk about women!

              • I think the Thumbs up or down is a distraction to conversations. The elimination of the thumbs created people to post why they disagreed and created more of a conversation. Thumbs are for lazy people that won’t participate in the conversation.

              • Just post and don’t worry about stupid thumbs
This is why I hate the thumbs
Conversation always turns to whining about thumbs

        • LOL on them working! I tried a different app plugin the first round with disastrous results but this one seems to be working well for the time being. Please let me know if something crazy goes down or you experience problems.

          Thanks all!

          • Mac. There is no thumbs feature visible when logged on to your site via Cell phone. It may be a graphics issue. I am running HTC. Anybody with an apple care to comment if it is a working feature.??

            • Hmmm, I am on iPhone and looks fine. Will check out the htc issue. Thx!

              • Update, Looks like thumbs show up on htc but cannut click on either up or down. I keep getting delays that most likely the thumbs graphics slow down the website response. Keep getting a warning for website to respond due to slowness. I don’t have any other slowness problems on surfing other webbsites.

                • Yes, thumb junk seriously slows down the website.

              • The warning I get is: “This web page is becoming unresponsive. DO YOU WANT TO CLOSE IT? WAIT or YES”

My guess is that the thumbs graphics slow down the web page in loading at least on HTC.

                • I will test this out with an Android device as soon as I get a chance — Apologies for any inconvenience here.

                  Thanks, Mac

              • Mac, I just checked it on my iPhone 5S and looks OK to me.

                • Thanks BH – same here on the 6 – and I tried one android device with no problems but don’t have access to the HTC to confirm in that. Will keep plugging away at it when I can.

                  • Even on high speed cable the page loads then a few seconds later the thumbs appear. So that is the obvious delay via cell. I guess its just the extra graphics popup like the percentage pie chart. Thumbs is just a gimmick. People should focus on the message and decide for themselves rather than how a bunch of dolts voted. I could post the same message under a different name or Anon, and the vote count would be totally different, meaning there is a cyber gang just clicking down votes on the person rather than the message. Which means Thumbs voting is a popularity contest not the message. Babies like to suck on thumbs.

      8. Gotta get your kicks before the whole shit house goes up in flames

      9. It looks to me like this chart shows other times when the BDI was this low (2012-13) and the economy didn’t crash. I’m not sure its going to crash this time. What makes the op so sure of the collapse? We’ve been done this road before and it didn’t happen (although it did in 2008).

      10. OK a pretty good read on OODA,got me thinking a bit, hope you enjoy it:ht tps://readfomag.com/2014/12/the-ooda-cycle-a-critical-introduction/ ,spaced between https to hopefully avoid wait time, have a new linux system running and still some curves here to work out!

      11. 2 cops executed in their car in Brooklyn just a bit ago

        • It’s on the news

        • EotS
I just read this on MSN on my computer. Please everyone remember these guys when you pray tonight for them and their families.
No one deservers this NO ONE.
          The gutless wonder killed himself.
          Sgt.

          • Its 2 for the price of 1 day. “2 Pigs in a blanket” the killer was quoted in saying. Maybe Cops will stop abusing their POWER and stop choking people for no reason. Remember Sgt. Your Job is to “SERVE and PROTECT” Not Harass and Abuse.

            • And the bastards were on some bullshit war on terror patrol…….poetic justice 🙂

              • And someone said several articles back that I was sick?

              • gotta agree the where on some bullshit terror training. and get this not one white person was involed. The shooter was black. one cop was Hispanic and the other Asian ? now how are Jessie and Al gonna justify this one ?

                • EO executions it sounds like. No money in this one Jesse and Al. Was wondering when this was going to happen. Still it solves nothing.

            • Who,with withhold judgment either way till whole story/truth out.As for praying for them and their families, how about all the innocent folks killed by cops and their families, gonna pray cover em all. This guy just went for someone in a uniform and no personal revenge, well, fuck him,he’s a asshole. These particular cops hurt him or his family especially, well, then kudos to him.

              • I’d Blame Obama for stiring up his Black folk tribe. Told them to keep on keeping on. Lets see if race baiter sharpton comments on this assination. And another poke at antigunners. Watch for Bloomberg to spout out. I say it all part of Karma. You reap what you sow.

              • Warchild. 2 items in the news that caught my attention.
                1. Sections of Mall of America closed down for the day due to large crowd of demonstrators taking over mall. Supposedly 25 arrested before mall sections shut down (Yahoo News).
                2. NYPD union says says that the NYPD is now in a “wartime” mode in the wake of the 2 cop killings (InfoWars). Now they’re saying the shooter was possibly a member of the Black Gorillas gang.
                Things are starting to escalate.

                • While no champion of the corporation…

open season on law enforcement is not the recourse.

(nor championing the execution style slaying of them)

i’d much rather side with a cop than some doped up gangster..

                  street gangsters kill indiscriminately

                  some cops kill with impunity

                  huge difference..

                  however

championing politicians, bureaucrats, and especially bankers as potential targets..

                  that’s another story

                  possee

          • The gutless wonder did it for Ferguson and the incident in New York. Prayers for the family and the entire dept. and their bretheren everywhere.

            • Jim,as with Ferguson will give this a few days to see the whole story, shit, the way things are done these days another false flag, perhaps to get cops and citizens going at each other more to thus then declare martial law.Hell, the whole thing faked to enact more repressive/unconstitutional laws, really wouldn’t be hard to do.Thus, will wait a few days and see the whole story and backgrounds of all involved in the case.

          • Sgt,

Be careful out there. You are all in our prayers. It is a sick world. I can appreciate the animus folks have with the police but it is truly and surely a thankless job. Police/LEO wield the ultimate power and as a result can get corrupted by that same power.

Louisiana Eagle wishes you and your family a safe and Merry Christmas! May the Good Lord watch over you and your buddies.

        • Obola, Holder, and Sharpton all have the blood of these two cops on their hands. It is their fault for having riled up the chimps against white cops.

I think it’s time to return to segregation in this country. Hell, the chimps segregate themselves anyway.

          Back of the bus, nigs.

      12. YAY! Thumbs are back. Although we could have gone with just Thumbs up and not worry about negative comments being thumbed down.

        • I thought about it Dave and may move to that if necessary. Thanks for the feedback!

          • Owww! So many thumbs down! My feelings!!!!!

          • Leaving only a thumbs-up capability will eliminate the troll’s ability to be a part of their absurdity. Leaving only a thumbs up will allow those who truly take part in communicating with each other to voice their approval as well as disapproval……

A disapproval will be shown through a low, or no thumbs up tally. This is a game to some trolls to see how they can affect posts. Eliminating a thumbs down will force troll’s to either write a comment, or move back down into their basement and masturbate.

            • The only down side I see to the thumbs issue is when you see a post that is just has nothing offensive in it and it is still down thumbed.

Looking at several innocuous posts above, which has nothing controversial in them and seeing red thumbs on them means only one thing.

Has nothing to do with the post; someone just doesn’t like the poster. Without the thumbs down at least someone had to step up to the plate with what they disagreed with in the post.

So does red thumbs, green thumbs just become a popularity contest?

              • “So does red thumbs, green thumbs just become a popularity contest?”

Only if that sort of thing matters to you Granny. If honestly logged it does give a good analysis of the collective mind on this site.

I think I got close to 100 thumbs down once. (Its in the archives) It only confirmed my suspicions about the audience. Water on a duck’s back.

BTW I gave you a thumbs down just for the thrill. Have a laugh and a good day Granny. 🙂

                • DK, LMAO….
“If honestly logged it does give a good analysis of the collective mind on this site.”

Didnt take long to wreck the “good analysis” .hahaha

“I gave you a thumbs down just for the thrill.”

                  • HH: Its gratefully accepted. I appreciate your reading my posts and educating yourself. In that way I make a teeny, tiny, little bit of difference from my corner of the world.

                    I do what I can. 😉

                    • Some psychopaths like War medals plastered on their chests, other Psychos like to fish for thumbs to suck on.

                    • WWTI,

I just think they should get a room 😉

      13. Mac:
Thanks for the thumbs. But we have a problem Huston. You can thumbs up your own post and you can do it more than once.
        Sgt.

        • Sgt Dale
          Watch your back out there

          • EotS
            Thanks my friend.
I’m sick right now. I didn’t know these guys but it is like a family members has just passed.
It is hard to explain, we all don’t get along, we are all different, but they are family and you don’t mess with my family!
            Sgt.

            • Understood
I have family too that I would take a bullet for
The news is saying it seems to be retaliation for the two recent killings of unarmed young men
Thugs or otherwise , it seems to have started something that could get ugly

            • yeah, that’s probably what it felt like for the wife and 6 children of Eric Garner, the wife of John crawford, the mother, father and sister (who they handcuffed and placed in a cop car after they shot her brother) of Tamir Rice.

            • Your last sentence explains EXACTLY what is wrong with Law Enforcement. Take the “family, look the other way” out of the equation, and we would have a decent police force. Yes, it is bad 2 cops got shot, now there is 4 dead people for no reason…(Not the ferg.thug).

              • My above post is for Dale…and other brother cops.

            • They are not your family Dale, they are co-workers and maybe friends, but only family is family.

            • Sarge, same message from me, watch your back.

            • Fraternity,,,,

            • EotS
Thanks for posting this. Just gives a little more insight on the murder. He sent three to heaven. Two cops and his girlfriend.
              Sgt.

              • Your view of God/Bible and the world isn’t any different than the sheeple that are of this world. They walk around telling everyone after a loved one dies….”well at least (insert name here) is in a better place now up in heaven.”

When they either had no clue as to the true condition of that person’s heart and where they stood with God or they knew they weren’t saved or living as a child of the King, yet they still claimed things that the word of God does not line up with.

                • BJ. And the Funerals to prop up a dead body to make the dead body to appear as if he is sleeping. Oh he looks so peaceful. As the mortician just spent days usung blunt trama on the body draining the blood, injecting GMO preservatives painting the facce dressing them up up like some stuffed animal to hang on the wall like a trophy. Again all to appease the cult religion ceramony and so they can claim he is now in heaven. It is a sick deviant culture as the mortician removed all his gold fillings. Jewelry and probably sold off body parts to test labs for extra profit so you can spend $10K grand on a casket to look at for one day before it is buried. • Sgt. Dale I am able to have my vote counted only once using various browsers, but it does let me click it multiple times.

It seems that the only way to really secure the thumbing system is to only allow registered users to vote ( that way if anyone scams it we can lock out the user ID). Working on this and hopefully will have something by the end of the year or there abouts.

            Thanks!

            Mac

            • Mac,can see weeding ID’s,try and avoid if possible isp’s as many from libraries ect. and would cut off all users there obviously.I knew the power of the thumbs would corrupt potentially, especially if you can vote yourself up many times.Just to be ornery would probably if voting at all would red thumb me multiple times, power, tis confusing and corrupting!

            • Hey Mac, I have a better idea. How about just getting rid of the thumbs? They are just an immature gimmicky facebook-ish feature that add no value to this site. I like this site, but the thumbs are kinda ridiculous.

Or, if you choose to keep the thumbs, fine, how about adding a middle finger too :)?

              • Valid point Nobama. How does a person have 10, 000 friends. How about every post we make and is read we get a share in the revenue. Hey I was born free but my knowledge base sharing with the sheep comes at a small price. I just may go on strike here for better wages. Then some people here just steal other peoples work and repost it for thumbs up as if it were their work. Yeah you know who.

              • Up thumbs only. Down thumb just encourages the bomb-throwers to run down the thread hitting everybody they hate.

              • Nobama, go suck an egg.

                • Same to you braveFart.

          • Thumbs are stupid especially if you can vote unlimited times on your own post. Now we go back to see who can make the dumbest comment to get thumbs. I was enjoying more intelegent conversations and facts being posted in a dialog. Watch the idiots return with meaninless posted drivel. Did you all notice when there were no thumbs the idiots left cause they had no intellegence to participate in the discussion? See it takes effort to discuss an issue rather than low IQ cut n paste 5th grade irrelevant material.

            • Disagree. You are still here.

              • So are you

        • No you can’t thumb your own comment up twice. When you try that it refreshes the hits and updates the number for the additional hits since you logged on, that’s all.

          No charge, sarge. 🙂

          • How do you know this Thumbs up or down isn’t some social media FBI hacking tool program, captuting and sending out our IP Addresses. You know somebody makes a threat amd you agree with him now you are added to their list as an associate ?? You know how many hack tool are out there run by the Feds? All for social media to surveille the posters? Thousands. Smile you just been hacked.

            • While on my cell posting here the security certificate warning keep popping up. Never happended with no thumbs feature. I just bet the Thumbs program is a hack for IP address data mining. You know how many Free dowload apps for cell phones were designed for back door hacking ability? Thousands. Did you also know the new cell phones have at least 5 to 7 points of entry for Feds to hack into and that is part of the manufacturing hardware software process now. Anything free beware. Even free speech here.

              • Anything you do on the Internet, beware. Thumbs are the least of our problems.

              • Can you enable or disable cookies on your Ithingy?

I had to go into my cookies and enable “ratingwidget.com”
cookie to get the thumbs to appear. I usually block all cookies unless they are needed to use the site.

I’ll probably disable it again since I’m not a fan of the thumbs distraction.

            • WWHTI: The Cyber Squad located in a 300,000 square foot building in Chantilly Virginia monitors this site 24/7; and has for years.

They know who you are. 🙂

              • How do they know who YOU are? You use your cell phone, Brainiac!!! LMAO!!! 🙂

                • Not only are you stuck in stupid kidd, but you have no imagination. You are a walking waste.

              • Oh there are way more threats out there than some old guy posting the truth. You Durrangoed Kiddy need to go back to economic’s school and retool your brain. Your Fuzzy numbers don’t add up.

      14. I will see how this story plays out, whether a random act of violence against cops or perhaps these particular cops messed with the killer’s family or friends.I will give him the same right to hear his story as I did with Wilson and the Ferguson story.

        • The shooter commited suicide. Saves the taxpayers millions in fee’s. What bothers me is that the cops are able to put dozens, if not hundreds of cops on the scene within a few minutes. If you or I was shot, do you think we would get the same response even though we pay thier salary?

          • It was the same with the Eric Frein cop shooting.

Hundreds of law dogs for close to three months and a cost of almost 12 million dollars. Money is no object when “blue privilege” is victimized.

For us…maybe a couple detectives to take pictures and draw chalk pictures and an APB. Then it’s off to the donut shop.

            • @ JRS.. 100% correct. The Justice Lady has had her scale tipped toward the cops for a long time. The good thing about a collapse is that not only will I loose my retirement… so will the LEO. I have plenty other skills…. popping donuts in my piehole isnt one of them.

          • This will do exactly what TPAB want
Put the cops against us all , against gun owners , ownership
And make us all targets of the thin blue line
This was a purpose drill to further the gap between the citizens and law enforcement
            It’s working perfectly as planed
There will be more innocent lives taken by the cops , and more cops taken by the scared
It’s falling right into the plan
Do you think for one second after this hits critical phase that the cops are going to have our backs on gun rights? Confiscation? Private sales etc?
No fuckin way , and that’s exactly what they want
            This is planned
Push and keep pushing until the dam breaks and than they have their motive to take away our gun rights
It’s not working fast enough with the race baiting
And the cops already have immunity and malice against us all
            Perfect recipe
Don’t fall for it if your a cop , and don’t give up shit if your a gun owner
            This party is just beginning

            • Oh BTW
Read the story on this carefully
Those two cops were part of a “drill” taking place at that time
TPAB always like to play when it comes to those
How do we know we’re not being set up in all of this?
How do we know that this guy was another Adam Lanza?
How do we know if he really shot himself ? Or was took out so he wouldn’t talk?
We don’t know , because were not supposed to
Were just supposed to believe the police , doesn’t that bother anyone?
There’s way more to this than meets the eye folks

              • Enemy,do agree with you,I also think perhaps another drone idiot sent off to kick up a shit storm. With all the lies we have been told at all levels of govt. tis no surprise folks not buying the story outright.

            • @ EOS. I got news for you, alot cops are for gun confiscation. they believe only the men in blue should have them. Look at the You Tube video of the Spokane deputy sheriff stating that they need a MRAP for the Constitutionalists because they have lots of guns.

          • I don’t buy the BS report that he committed suicide. Too convenient. Who really killed him? This is another lie, staged event with planned outcome. Perhaps orchestrated by the very same NYPD itself, for what? More militarization, more cops?

We may never know the details in the truth, but for sure we’ll see this as another stepping stone towards their end goal.

            • Nobama, doesn’t really matter if he killed himself or was killed. He murdered 2 Cops. You live by the Badge you can die wearing the badge for no reason. Wait till SHTF, I would not want to be a Cop in anywhere USA. Know how many enemies each one created over their lifetimes? Every Cop car will be a target and riddled with holes. I believe they will give up, and retreat or retire. If they are smart.

              • And that is exactly why they are militarizing themselves with armor and machine guns, because they know what’s coming, because they are perpetuating it all.

Not defending the cops. There is no valid reason to be a cop, other than to be a fricken control freak. Cops don’t serve to protect. If they wanted to help anyone, they would have become firefighters or paramedics.

Not defending the thug either. He was a POS, glad he is gone, better for society now. Many more where he came from. One more down, many more to go…

Just wondering what really happened, but won’t keep me up at night.

                • People only have to ask themselves one question; Why would your average joe want to be a cop?

      15. Three Questions
Please allow me to ask you the following three questions:
        1. How many people do you personally know who do not need to eat?
        2. Where does most of the meat, bread, fruit, and vegetables that are consumed by the people inside a city actually come from?
        3. If food deliveries into the city were stopped, how long would the city continue to be a safe place to live?
If you are satisfied with your answers to the above three questions and you still want to live in a big city then you should continue to do so. However, if you are not satisfied with your answers to the above three questions, then perhaps right now would be a good time to think about some other options for your family’s survival.

      16. The One-Hour Meltdown
However, my personal opinion is that once the meltdown begins then in less than one-hour it will quickly escalate far beyond anyone’s ability to control or manage it on a worldwide basis. The five basic assumptions that cause me to believe in my “one-hour meltdown theory” are as follows:
        1. Banks: The financial institutions around the world cannot withstand a full-scale worldwide bank run. Therefore, they have already made plans to immediately shut down the instant they are told to do so. Within minutes, all across the globe, all the ATM machines will be offline, all credit card and debit card verification transactions will be halted, and all banks will have their vaults locked and their doors locked and their building emptied of all personnel, except perhaps for some special security guards. All high-level bank executives will immediately disappear to a wide variety of remote safe unknown locations. All telephone call inquiries to any of the financial institutions will be automatically answered by a computer with a pre-recorded message similar to the following: “Our system is currently experiencing an extremely high call volume and therefore we are unable to answer your call at this time. Please try again later when our call volume returns to normal.”
        2. Governments: The vast majority of our government leaders all over the world are relatively intelligent individuals. They completely understand the ramifications of a “bank holiday” in our computer controlled financial economy. Therefore, all government offices will also be immediately shut down, and they will empty their buildings and lock their doors. Any transaction in progress, including any trials in progress, will be immediately halted and postponed until some future date. All high-level government officials, including all judges and tax officials, will immediately disappear to a wide variety of remote safe unknown locations.
        3. Retail Businesses: Since they will be unable to process even simple transactions, all retail establishments, both large and small, will immediately lock their doors to prevent anyone else from entering. If possible, they will complete any transactions for customers already inside their building if those customers have enough cash to pay for their purchases. Any customers wishing to pay by check or credit card or debit card will be told that the verification system is down and their transaction can’t be completed. All customers will then be immediately escorted to the doors and the doors will be briefly opened and then immediately locked after they exit. In addition, in a manner similar to what happened during the World Trade Center meltdown, each store’s management may demand that their employees remain at their stations until further notice or they will lose their jobs for leaving without management’s permission. But most of the more intelligent employees will leave at the same time as the store’s last few remaining customers. The store’s special security guards may or may not remain behind in order to protect the store with their lives. Since most of these special security guards are not paid exceptionally well, a large number of them may decide that they should return home and protect their own families instead.
        4. Criminals: Anyone and everyone who has any criminal tendencies and who has been patiently waiting for this to happen will immediately see it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve their financial situation. More than likely the vast majority of these criminals have already made very detailed plans that includes exactly which businesses they are going to rob first, second, third, and so on. Any business with a reasonable level of cash-on-hand will be very high on every criminal’s list. Every jewelry store and pawn shop that has any type of silver or gold jewelry, or precious stones (diamonds, rubies, emeralds, etc.), will be very high on everyone’s list. The warfare that breaks out at these establishments between competing criminals will not be pleasant.
        5. Normal People: Normal average people will begin looting. Grocery stores will be broken into and they will be completely emptied from wall-to-wall, including the rear storage area, in less than one-hour. Stores that have firearms, ammunition, appliances, clothing, shoes, or anything else needed by the average citizen will be emptied in less than one-hour. In skirmishes over the few remaining resources, normal average people will begin killing one another inside the stores, and in the parking lots outside the stores, and on the streets as these fully loaded vehicles try to escape with their loot.
The above events will all happen simultaneously during the first one-hour of the meltdown. After that first hour has passed, things will really begin to get nasty. Everyone will quickly realize there are not are not enough law enforcement personnel to protect everyone and everything. Although the military will probably be ordered to protect specific high priority establishments and resources, there will simply not be enough military personnel to protect individual civilians or businesses.

        • The best you can do is to prepare intelligently and enjoy life today. Don’t be dour and enjoy the company of good (and bad) women, a glass of fine wine and well-aged steak.

When the collapse comes, it will be fast and it will be chaotic. Most people will panic and mentally freeze up. Scum bags will see it as their moment and will not hesitate to act. They will loot, steal and kill at will. I would not want to be a young woman between the ages of 15 and 21: rapists will be out in force and the police will not be able to do anything about it. This has happened in every shtf scenario throughout history. Young women, and even your classic homemaker milf, get raped. Once the illusion of order and civility disappears, then people act on their impulses and grab what they want.

Stay away from majority black areas: these will be the most dangerous places to be. If you can, hang out with asians: the asian business networks and criminal fraternities will kick into action and start providing security and protection. Remember the Korean businesses in the LA riots.

I agree, the politicians will be out of there pronto to get to their hideaways, and the military will pull out of major areas and fall back to defend critical infrastructure – airports, power stations, farms. It will be the Lord of the Flies anywhere without military cover. I have been to many of these facilities – large, campus-like places that your average person has no idea exists.

          • And those who are in the check out line and are able to pay with cash….DON’T. You flip out cash in that instance, and you won’t make it back to your vehicle. Just leave it and walk, unless you’re packing heat.

            • I always pay with cash
And I always carry a pair
A pair of balls and a pair if 45’s
If they want what’s in my wallet they take the risk of ventilation

              • Enemy,I would guess it would be a mistake to ask,”Whats in your wallet!”

          • Frank, while I agree with you lets remember there will be good folks out there trying to help others. As I have said in the past, will not last long as I see folks being mowed down by mercenaries in uniform or folks being raped will do whatever I can to stop it,thus, probably not long for this world at that point, have thought about this long and hard and am comfortable with this decision. On a side note, those in supposed power hiding feel many of their “guards”will be turning on them.Till then, will enjoy life, help out friends and family, roll a smoke and have a few goldfish! On a side note, hits the fan gonna hit the few bottles of Jack I have, not shit faced but pleasantly buzzed in final hours, appreciate sobriety now but when the time comes, the hell with it!

        • That’s a pretty good rundown copperhead. But LEOsand Nat Guard will be assigned to necessary Inrastructure such as power plants, facilities and dams and federal facilities and politicians. The Governor will surround him self with the State Police Force. Mayor the local Cops. The public who oays for all of this will br left to fend for themselves and No 911 will respond. That’s the facts Jack.

        • Copperhead, FT, All,

Check out my thoughts to Red Leader above. Your last point, point #5 needs to be taken as a warning for those who live in the inner city. There will be no time to run home and load up the best you can do is pick up the family and run. Get out of there and don’t look back until you are safe.

On a happier thought, I send you my best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Atchafalaya Swamplands of Louisiana.

          Louisiana Eagle

        • Copperhead ,
I tried to disagree with your scenario but it sounds very plausible. Mac is right in saying that we are presently in the midst of collapse but I do believe that at some point everything has to reach a precipice. When triggered by some series of events, we can count on the thin veneer of civilization to erode in minutes. The stark realization of not waking up from a bad dream will settle in quickly. Those of us in the know will see things coming I hope. Normalcy will change on a dime.

        • Outstanding post Copperhead!

          ..thumbs up.

      17. To all you guys in law enforcement.

I am very sorry for the lost of 2 of your own in the NYPD.

I hope this country stops and pauses for a moment for prayers for these officers, and there families.

God bless you guys, and please, please, be careful out there.

It’s a good start… to Total Economic Break Down Anarchy!

        • You are sick! Most police are just doing their job and trying to keep the peace.

          • You are correct Frank. Unfortunately I had to give you a thumbs up to get you over the 50% like rating. If people keep on killing and harassing the cops then one day they are going to refuse to report for work nationwide and then we are really in big trouble. I’m with you, cops are mostly good people and we should respect them for that. thanks and God bless.

            • Plow,we dump the majority of dumb laws/allow folks to defend themselves, allow folks to make a living without being taxed/regulated to a point of not worth it we will not need that many cops.I see someone I know/care about or hell/even a stranger say a women being raped am going to step in/not wait for the cops,(yes,I realize may die doing that).I would personally do just fine without the cops, realize many live in areas where they have been disarmed/perhaps have ailments that don’t allow them to defend themselves, but, for me,would do just fine without the cops in my home area. That said, you see one once a week tis a surprise out in the nowhere lands.

            • I would like to try “NO Cops Period” for one year in America, disband them all. Let people serve their own justice. I will tell you this, There will be nobody left to throw in jail, and our taxes will be greatly reduced. Let us have at it for a while, open season and you don’t need a license, and No daily bag limit.

          • Frank,if the majority of police our the good guys and gals they better step up in unison and condemn those in their ranks that flash bang babies/shoot puppies/enforce stupid/unconstitutional laws they are told to enforce ect.I am friends with a few cops and in private they agree with me,that is no good till they go public.A cop killed my dog/burned my child/raped me with a broom handle(happened a few years back done by NY’s finest)well, there will be a dead cop or two and a dead Warchild.

            • @ Warchild…Frank is under the illusion that cops keep the peace, whereas they are just another gang with unconstitutional rights. They show up 30 minutes after a crime, unless it is commited against one of thier own, or by thier own. They act just like the thugs in the protection of thier guilty comrades. In my area, the cops are really 30 minutes away because of the roads and terrain. It is peaceful because everyone is armed and that demands respect, which is something that only a few here understand. I don’t condone murder regardless of the actors. Deadly force is approved.

              • Dave, tis the same in much of the northlands of New England. The dog and firearm is the police/if working the garden hose is the fire dept.,the distances are many.Only a end to the majority of dumb laws/stop making cops armed tax thieves/allowing folks to defend themselves will bring about a better life for all.

              • You are Ditz. What do you think cops do? They can’t be there to protect you 247 that’s why it’s up to each individual. It’s not the cops that make the laws DITZ, it’s the elected commie law makers in these areas that make it against the law for people to protect themselves. The cops are not the problem you DITZ they only enforce the laws made by the commie lawmakers you effen DITZ!!!!!

            • I would like to point out that the hyper-sensationalized police atrocities amount to about .00000006% of the population affected. Cops, like any other person on the planet, do make tactical errors. In all instances however, the person is involved in criminal activity. Anyone buying into the false narrative is just looking for a fight and is willing to be mislead by the media. Chimps! They can’t think for themselves.

“Can’t Breathe”???? Go get some medical oxygen to solve your problem. If your blaming cops for the problem, you obviously aren’t getting enough 02 to your brain. Might want to see someone with a PhD.

Definition: Chimp…any upright primate whose cranial capacity closely resembles the capacity of a Chimpanzee found in Africa. Skin color not a factor.

              • Could you please go suck a cock, uh I mean cop on your own time. With your statist mindset, you should tryout for a job with faux entertainment news. You already have the propaganda talking points down to a science….your a real bill orielly knock off.

                • My my. Name calling, vulgar language. Last ditch effort to try and derail someone who knows what they talk about? Why don’t you call me a PooPoo head. Maybe that will get to me.

Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death.
                  – Thomas Paine

                  You’ve shrunk BJ.

                  • And your ” principles” are to mindlessly worship the state of total domination like a brainless, good little sheep? What would good old Thomas Paine think of that I wonder?

                    • No my principles are what they are. I’m not stupid enough to pick a fight over .000006% of a criminal population get a raw deal. I apply my principles to knock around whatever cause i deem worthy of my time. Now if said gestapo were going around shooting people at random, them you would have a cause worth fighting over. Not the case however.

        • You are either baiting people for a augment.

Or you are a sick bastard.

One thing for sure since you posted this I am sure you are on a watch list.

I have relatives in law enforcement and they are good.

So hands off them, and do not let me catch you trying to harm them or there families.

It will be score (1) for the GOOD GUYS.

TANGOS, and I do not mean this LONE WOLF shit (0)

        • This is the mentality of the thug culture in America. As long as communities allow the thug culture to grow, only chaos will follow and that is what this group of people want.

        • Police Declare “Wartime” in Internal Memo — “We Will Act Accordingly” After Two Officers Are Shot

NYPD IS GOING TO WAR AGAINST IT’S OWN CITIZENS!

The reason is that it declares that the NYPD is now a “Wartime” department, and that “we will act accordingly.”

The memo does not elaborate on exactly what actions the NYPD intends to perform in order to be a “Wartime” department on the streets of America.

During the Egyptian revolution a couple of years ago, Egyptian protesters burned down police stations after police killed an innocent street vendor for selling things without paying taxes.

In response, the police began going out secretly, in plainclothes, and staging fake terror attacks and random murders throughout the cities.

They did this partly as retaliation against the Egyptian citizens, but it was mainly a ploy, as if to say “See? What would you do without us? You need us!”

Some suspect that a false flag terror attack might be staged by the NYPD to stoke fear, maintain power, and to get naive citizens begging for their help. Rumors have also circulated that portions of the story about the two officers who were killed were made up or staged.

But we aren’t in a position to speculate on such matters.

The fact is, the memo never specifies which actions will be taken.

The memo was released after Ismaaiyl Brinsley shot two NYPD officers in a planned assassination. He did it, he said, to avenge the police slayings of Eric Garner and Michael Brown.

          • Sensationalized news and bad economic conditions always bring our the kooks.

          • QUESTION ?

This is not the middle east.
This is not the former SOVIET BLOC
            This is America

We are suppose to be better then that.

What country was it where the citizens started protecting the Police during a protest.

            • Unfortunatley there was a long lag between the rioters/protesters defaming the police, inciting violence and the people who should have stood up for the police. Way too long of a lag.

              • Yeah, everybody should just do what a cop tells them to do and be a mindless badge licker, that’ll fix everything!

      19. Desensitized to all this bull used to be surprised by bad news seems normal nowadays in my state record unemployment see people panhandle on every street corner especially during commute times ie rush hour people scrapping any metal they can find all any leaders do is throw $ at the problem with programs but people like me who work hard keep footing the bill starting to think loose the job have more kids and go on the dole but who would work anymore the problems of this country are much worse than people realize

      20. I’m thinking that the global financial situation is taking a nose dive. Finally.

      21. Does anyone have any bets on what the economy is going to do after the Christmas shopping season is over? I think reality is going to set in and portions are going in the tank. Down here in Texas we are looking at massive layoffs if oil continues to drop or doesn’t rebound some and get it back to the break even point of $65.00 a barrel. The rift between the rich and the poor is only going to widen. What a mess!

        • So Texas oil falls and folks lose their jobs. Boo Hoo ! The Manufacturing jobs are gone. If the Glowbull warming Myth wasn’t perpetuated we could have more refinerys & industry. Folks in texas losing jobs? Never mind folks in other states & occupations lost their jobs. Never mind that those folks can not afford to pay the Texans high wages to provide gasoline. We live and compete in a world wide economy & market . The Supply of Gasoline has become greater than the demand.

      22. Put down payment on new bug out location this week. Will close after Christmas, am very relieved as I feel economic meltdown will lead to nationwide violence. If I have until March to set it up properly I think I can at least get away from the “hoard zombies” that will terrorize millions even those well prepared. My next task is recruiting enough like minded people to come help us survive when the bullet hits the bone. I believe this will be necessary but am very concerned about this aspect of my prep. Who do you trust, how do you choose who to aaly with. It would be cool to just wait it out with my family and do it on our own but I don’t see this as viable. How many nuclear families can fight off several hundred starving desperate armed folks. I think it’s c Ming to that. Merry Christmas to all you preppers, God bless you and keep you in the coming year!

        • Drew,I would at this point choose close/like minded friends, get em to contribute anyway they can. They short on monies labor such as a driven handwell/turning earth for a garden/they have skills that will help say emt/nurse ect.probably the safest of anyway to build up your numbers.I am talking friends who have earned your trust/loyalty thru the years and decades during good and bad times, seems the best you can do.That said, without giving up plans get to know nearby folks, have em over for dinner ect.You will at least get some idea of whether they will be a asset or perhaps a danger in tough times, either way good to know, best of luck with your new digs.

        • Good luck and congrats Drew! Merry Christmas to all of you here at shtf plan. I enjoy the articles and all the comments and things I learn here. Ya’ll take care this coming year!

      23. Gas prices are falling cus new battery technology is threatening to put the big oil company’s down they gotta put the price down before electric cars hit the streets they are proposing a electric rate hike in my area of 25 percent only one electric company to buy from but it’s not a monopoly this is the truth the media aren’t telling you my driving habits aren’t changing only saving like 7 or8 bucks a fill no big deal follow the money never mind pipelines

      24. How much of this plunge is driven by the drastic reduction of fuel costs?

      25. Am I correct that the Baltic Dry Index measures the cat of shipping dry good not the actual quantity of shipping containers? If so recent significant drop in the cost of crude oil should translate to lower g the cost of fuel to sail the merchant ships.

      26. Cost not cat

      30. Diesel fuel is still up to350 a gal no relief for motor carriers everything ends up on a truck sooner or later I have been a freight man trucker for16 years the cost of operating a fleet of trucks is out of control the amount of $ motor carriers pay in claims kills profits damaged property freight comp for the guys this industry bleeds cash by the way trucks can hold up to 300 gals of fuel lower gas prices are just to stimulate consumer spending. The credit card debt bubble has yet to burst hoard your money people the greedy large box stores and banks want to leave you with nothing

      31. Tis the Season!

I just come home from a few days in the woods. Joined up with a few friends I have not seen in years. They brought with them some mighty fine Moonshine. After a couple of glasses of that stuff, I didn’t care what the markets were doing. In fact it will not make you care about a lot of shit. No mixers, straight up.

All right, time to catch up on my reading and increase the stress level.
        Hahahaha! Oooooooh, my head hurts.

      32. All I know is I don’t trust anyone or anything anymore except my wife, dogs and literally a handful of family and friends. Most people I know enjoy the lies or are too blinded to see the truth. It took me decades to figure it out so I can’t be overly judgmental. 99% of what I believed to be true the last 40+ years was smoke and mirrors used to manipulate me into believing this and buying that and chanting USA, USA at the appropriate moments. And I did. K-12 education….LIE. 20+ years service in the Navy…LIE. Benefits of home ownership…LIE. Too many lies not enough padding on my index fingers to peck it all out here. I also realize there is not a dam thing I can do to effectively change any of it. Sure I can vote(joke), run for office, protest, etc. I have seen what happens to people who do these things and nothing ever gets changed. I have resigned myself to protecting (physically, mentally, financially) my family from the coming collapse and try to enjoy life a little more. When the time comes I will stand side by side with like minded people and defend what we believe in.

        • More and more are feeling the same. Fuck the majority of the world and mind your own business. It is sad that things have come to this, but this is where they are. If/when I see a quality person that is trying and needs something, I have no problem helping. When I see (often) sorry-asses trying to figure a way to game the world, I just move along.

        • Its mind boggling,
Wholeheartedly agree that its all an illusion designed to give the masses a sense that they matter, in reality they want us to be their slaves, a new legislative season is starting and there are already rumblings that our local govt is going to try to limit our 2A rights.

      35. Is unfortunate when someone is unjustly killed. Its enevitable that the lowest demonator will suffer from the poor choices & decisions they make. The gullible young folks who willingly join the armed forces and are nothing more than cannon fodder for the NWO. Of some one who is just plain stupid and decides to be a cop and are nothing more than paid enforcers of the pletoria of uncounstitional laws are just the same considered cannon fodder by the NWO. the so called elete don’t care about any of their henchmen they are all expendable.

      36. As I have posted before my fear is that open season on badges is just starting, the fear I have is there will be no different for a good badge and a poor one all will be targets. To all LEO on here watch your six and be safe.

        MTCFMF!!//RIP America.

        • Same here be safe out there guys

          God bless you

        • What they need is armed CCW people to help patrol and back up the cops. Thats what we would do here if some assholes were randomly targeting cops. Also ship all the illegal criminals back across the border. Look at the stats of the criminal activity these “immigrants” obozo let in.

      37. I support the police I have never been harassed by the police but if they wanted to arrest me I would comply and keep my mouth shut and retain a lawyer to defend me this is how it works ya it sucks to spend nite in cell but you will have your turn in court so be smart and if you not doing any thing wrong nothing to worry about cops are not your friend but they do keep the drunks off the road put dangerous people in jail to keep us all safe give them common courtesy before people don’t want to do this job

This is an excellent article and does tie to reality about the economy and where things are at.
You have the US economy that is essentially flat line, with various big box store chains either closing massive amount of stores or being bought out by somebody else, then stores get closed.
Everybody assumes that oil price coming down was because of another country being targeted or various other reasons and stories. What is lost on most people is that with every penny gas came down, assuming the price stays down and assuming that people keep spending it pumps 1 billion dollars into the economy over a year for every penny. You could say this is a massive injection of money into and for the US economy. Again assuming people keep spending. If that is the case you will see the news stories in January and Febuary how the economy took a turn up, how we are doing better etc etc.
So while the Baltic shipping index is showing the economy is going south, there will like be a temporary shot in the arm to the US economy, that is until oil prices start climbing back up.
Speaking of oil, companies are laying off many, many people in the Bakken and in Wyoming with the price dropping.
