As the first month of the year concludes, it’s becoming clear that 2019 will be a very different kind of year.

The near-decade of ‘recovery’ following the Great Financial Crisis enjoyed a stability and tranquility that suddenly evaporated at the end of 2018.

Here in 2019, instability reigns.

The world’s central banks are absolutely panicking. After last year’s bursting of the Everything Bubble, their coordinated plans for Quantitative Tightening have been summarily thrown out the window. Suddenly, no chairman can prove himself too dovish.

Jerome Powell, the supposed hardliner among them, completely capitulated in the wake of the recent -15% tantrum in stocks, which, as Sven Henrich colorfully quipped, proved what we suspected all along:

The global tsunami of liquidity (i.e. thin-air money printing) released by the central banking cartel has been the defining trend of the past decade. It has driven, directly or indirectly, more world events than any other factor.

And one of its more notorious legacies is the massive disparity and wealth and income resulting from its favoring of the top 0.1% over everyone else. The mega-rich have seen their assets skyrocket in value, while the masses have been mercilessly squeezed between similarly rising costs of living and stagnant wages.

How have the tone-deaf politicians responded? With tax breaks for their Establishment masters and new taxes imposed on the public. As a result, populist ire is catching fire in an accelerating number of countries, which the authorities are anxious to suppress by all means to prevent it from conflagrating further — most visibly demonstrated right now by the French government’s increasingly jack-booted attempts to quash the Yellow Vest protests:

Meanwhile, two other principal drivers of the past decade’s ‘prosperity’ are also suddenly in jeopardy.

China’s once-unstoppable economic growth engine is now sputtering badly. The slowdown is so pronounced that it’s now feared it will drag world GDP down to a decade low this year:

And all those headlines that claimed the US shale oil ‘miracle’ has ushered in a new era of over-abundant cheap domestic oil? Well, as we’ve long warned, it’s becoming clear that promise was dangerously overhyped. It’s recently been exposed that the shale operators — who have never made a profit as an industry — have been overstating their output by as much as 50%. That, plus a host of geological and financing challenges, is making the future production prospects of the Permian and other major shale basins look a lot dimmer:

Is The Permian Bull Run Coming To An End?

With the big Wall Street players now questioning the value of their existing investments in shale oil, the industry is finding it hard to raise money. Not a single bond sale has come off since November in an industry which must continuously raise capital to survive.

To add to the problems, the future of U.S. shale oil production seems to be in the Permian Basin in Texas which has been providing the lion’s share of oil production growth for the entire country. But ongoing drought in an already arid West Texas has raised doubts about whether the Permian will have enough water to meet all the demand for fracking new wells.

If the needed capital is not forthcoming, it means that companies will be faced with declining revenues from declining production. With lower operating cash flow and little access to additional capital, these companies will be unable to drill enough wells to offset declining ones. That means even lower revenues in the future which will mean even lower investment in new wells. That’s what a death spiral looks like.

A Poisonous Cocktail

Mix together a slowing global economy hopelessly addicted to central bank stimulus, festering social unrest and an approaching oil price spike/supply squeeze. The result?

Recession and revolt.

It’s anybody’s guess what will happen from here. But it seems certain that events will not recede back to the tranquility of the past decade.

Our prediction here at PeakProsperity.com is that the long-awaited (and, yes, perhaps too-long-predicted) downturn is nigh.

Either the economy descends into recession, resulting in widespread job losses and a deflationary correction of today’s ridiculously-inflated financial markets. Or the central banks go “all in” and launch QE4ever, leading to runaway inflation (runaway stagflation, more likely) and possibly hyperinflation.

Either way, the pain and losses will be severe. And those hurt the most — the working poor, the elderly unable to support themselves, the younger generations limited by diminished prospects — will have no option but to rise up against the political regimes that have failed them so badly.

A Survival Guide For 2019

With the bursting of the Everything Bubble, we declared last year as the ‘Year Everything Changed’. This will be the ‘Year of Instability’, possibly preceding an upcoming ‘Year Of Woe’ in 2020.

But look, we’re not saying the world is the process of ending imminently. It’s just that we’ve entered the part of the timeline when things are going to start to get really rocky.

And we think it’s much more useful to think of 2019 as the ‘Year Resilience Matters’. It shifts the focus away from fear and instead towards the many things you can do to protect yourself and those you care about – and even to position yourself to prosper through the coming challenges.

Here are recent articles/resources we’ve created to help you get started. Focus on the areas where you currently feel the most vulnerable.

  • Lose weight/Get fit — after all, if you don’t have your health, the rest doesn’t matter. Resilience starts with your most important asset: your body. Our free how-to primers on successful and sustainable weight loss and functional fitness are great resources for everyone looking for guidance on how to boost their physical health.
  • Shore up your key relationships — whatever the future brings, no single person can be prepared for every possible outcome. We’re going to need to rely on others, on key relationships and trusted community ties, when events play to our weaknesses. How do we nurture the kind of relationships that thrive, instead of unravel, during times of stress? Our free report breaks down the science behind successful social bonds.
  • Prepare for deflation — asset prices desperately want to deflate. The past decade of money-printing (QE 1,2 & 3) has blown prices well into bubble territory and allowed for credit to expand way beyond what fundamentals allow. With the bursting of the Everything Bubble, especially if the central banks somehow resume their committed tightening plans, *much* lower prices should lie ahead. A recession will only exacerbate this trend further. So we recommend that investors get liquid and preserve ‘dry powder’ to ride out the correction and be poised to re-enter the market when quality assets can be purchased at much better valuations than today. Our primers on holding cash in short-term US T-bills and in hedging for a major market correction are important resources for anyone looking to position their capital for a deflationary purge.
  • Prepare for inflation — of course, today’s central banks hate deflation. They may well take a “damn the consequences” approach when serious deflation next raises its head and kick-off QE 4-ever — which would have to be on a scale much larger than the previous QE efforts to achieve it’s desired effect. But at that magnitude, it is highly likely the central banks will kill the purchasing power of their underlying currencies — unleashing runaway inflation (runaway stagflation, more likely) and quite possibly hyperinflation. So, it’s wise to have a portion of your portfolio in assets that will weather the ravages of inflation better than most. This is why we recommend folks consider owning precious metals (and why we endorse the Hard Assets Alliance for doing so) as well as invest for inflation-adjusted income going forward (vs speculating for capital gain).
  • Prepare for likely emergencies — one of the few things we can predict with certainty is that 2019 will have its fair share of floods, fires, hurricanes, blizzards, and blackouts. Every location has its own set of probable disasters than can be anticipated. Preparing for these is relatively straightforward and absolutely prudent. Our free guide to emergency preparedness is full of battle-tested recommendations and advice for doing it well.
  • Prepare for unlikely emergencies — another thing we can predict with confidence is that nothing this year will go 100% according to plan. There will be errors, unintended consequences, surprises, and accidents. We’ve written in the past of the wisdom of holding umbrella liability insurance for protection against the unexpected. More than 80% of US households either don’t own any or are under-insured. If you think you may be one of them, read our free primer on the topic.
  • Develop your master plan — as with most goals, success dramatically improves when working with an experienced coach. Those looking for help in making key decisions and/or getting custom answers to their unique personal situations can schedule a consultation with us. And those looking to have a crash-audit of their investment portfolio can schedule a free review with our endorsed financial advisor.
  • Live resiliently – they say “The best revenge is to live well”. The same is true when it comes to resilience. Creating a resilient life is the best way to overcome adversity and enjoy prosperity in your daily living. Our book Prosper!: How To Prepare For The Future And Create A World Worth Inheriting offers a blueprint for doing just this. As does our intensive 3-day seminar (this year’s is nearly sold out, so register soon if interested), which also connects you into the Peak Prosperity tribe — a worldwide community of smart, accomplished truth-seekers with big hearts eager to support each other in their journey to live more resilient lives.

The goal here is not perfection; no one can be fully prepared for every eventuality. It’s to be “good enough” across as many of these dimensions as possible.

By taking prudent action today in these areas, you’ll be vastly more able to navigate the instabilities that 2019 throws at you.

And, just as important, you’ll be well-positioned to be in service to the many less-prepared folks around you.

Peas take 60-70 days. If you could plant them by March 1 along with spinach (37-45 days), then follow with cabbage (70 days) and broccoli transplants (55 days by picking side shots) on March 15, then these are your main spring harvest with the iron from the spinach being very important and the high quality protein from the peas being essential.

You have minor wild edible plants (like maple samaras and redbud pods) and few wild edible game without adversely affecting trapping yields. You got various sap rising based on elevation to get valuable sugar.

The main protein source would be very hungry fish as soon as it is warmer, which it is in Western KY…right now as it’s in the 40s. That is what you be trying to acquire. Some very large ones will very active.

Your cultivated vegetables are not going to be around until the end of May. That’s why you have this starving time season and relying on the food cache.

Why don’t you try it to see what’s involved and doing a small experimental batch? Ask locals when they do it. Try making your spiles.

This is being practical versus the generalities in the article.

You also might try a 3 day fast to see what that feels like or going two day without water or 48 hours without sleep(but don’t drive).

    • Maranatha says:

You could experiment by putting up a cloche row and then take temerature readings to see how warm it gets over the course of the day. But killing frost can happen and the soil is cold.

Heck, have the kids do these things with your guidance. Mentor some neighbor and volunteer to test their soil with your kit. If really interested, try the old school ways to determine pH without a kit and see what results you get.

      • Maranatha says:

        DcIUo_cE8yM
By putting a known amount of soil and a known amount of water, plus vinegar or baking soda, you can guestimate based on the intensity of the acid/base chemcal reaction.

        ht tps://preparednessmama.com/testing-your-soil-ph-without-a-kit/

You also can look at the soil to see if it’s sandy, clay, or loam.

You should follow up with an actual soil test so you know what to add.

    • Maranatha says:

Other that the above, there’s 20 low calories wild edibles (ramps, fiddleheads, violets, wild onion, chickweed, platain, dandelion, etc) but white clover has a decent amount of protein.

      • Maranatha says:

        ht tps://bonnieplants.com/gardening/which-veggies-for-which-season/

Here is a general planting guide per season. As you can see, what is listed for spring has very low calories. As the soil is warm enought, like March 15 here locally, you can plant carrots and turnips, so while they help, they are low calories.

This long gap from March to late May getting crops in was a rough patch. People surviving the winter began running out of food in January if the ate too much and didn’t reduce their physical activity, because cabin fever leads to overeating.

  2. cranerigger says:

Thanks for another informative article. May I suggest that Americans should also beware of the political ideology we call Islam. One of the tenets of this philosophy is the concept of “TAKIYAH” which directs their followers to LIE to infidels. Anyone that doesn’t embrace their philosophy is an infidel. Too many Americans do not know their enemies. Do not VOTE for people that want to erase your heritage and convert you to theirs.

  3. jakartaman says:

Nothing for nothing but I have been hearing the world is going to end every year for the past 15 years.

Don’t get me wrong – I know that the world economy is going to collapse – I thought it would happen long ago –

    What makes 2019/2020 special???

    • TheGuy says:

Well, I don’t know about full on collapse but in answer to your query about “what makes it special”…

Everything tends to happen in 10 year cycles give or take. This has been going on for quite some time. I don’t even pretend to understand why this happens, but having observed it… I mean you don’t have to know oceanography to know that the waves are coming in at the beach at roughly 45 second intervals and you don’t want your feet getting wet.

So, given the last crash was around 2008… something’s baked in right about now.

Now you add to that… exactly HOW the last recession “ended” (or rather didn’t). It ended “in simulation” more or less. The market didn’t so much fix itself as it got a gobsmacking ton of free cash thrown at it.

There’s no more free cash (ish… certainly not enough of it… so whatever happens this time will be whatever would have happened last time if there wasn’t the free cash).

Now you add to that what’s about to happen with tariffs, which don’t get me wrong… needs to happen. Eventually. At the start of a “scheduled” downturn might… not be the best possible strategic choice on that matter. So that’s going to make it worse than worse.

Also just heard people are getting average 8% less on their tax refunds this year. Not sure of the validity of that statement, but having just run through a first cut of mine, I can see where that could be possible. There’s something really funny with the state tax write-off in the federal 1040. It doesn’t affect me so I didn’t pay that close of attention to it, someone else chime in here, but something’s… kinda not there with it. There’s an entry for it in the Schedule A still but not in the 1040, and it doesn’t affect the math in the same way if it’s not on the 1040. Again, I was up to my eyeballs in other issues, so since it had no direct effect on me I sort of shrugged and moved on with life instead of running a simulation where it actually mattered, but I mean something’s fishy there.

China’s economy is getting ready to take a dump as well…

I mean… again, I don’t know if “this is it” (the big “it”), but this is definitely something and it’s definitely not good.

      • Maranatha says:

Several people adjusted their witholding so they aren’t getting a big refund as they had higher pay all along. So that is a wash and wouldn’t you rather have your money now then later? To me this is a non issue. I never understood why people would want a tax refund as it’s just letting the government borrow it for nothing.

  4. Beaumont 2.0 says:

ftlog The line graph is a mirror reflection. Can’t you base a strategy on that?

  5. ANGRY FROG says:

Looks like the World Wide Industrial Machine is Collapsing.
    Whos next ?

  6. The less dependent on money and on outside help, the better off you are. Disabled people strive to live independent lives. Able bodied people take independence for granted. To me, that is problematic.

While you work out for a better body, bear in mind that your vision is dependent upon certain nutrients in your diet. The health of your teeth is vital to your overall health. And there is nothing less attractive than bad teeth.

    .

  7. 49erJosh says:

This is why I don’t use these money services, I just don’t trust them. I prefer saving all my money in gold

  8. Maranatha says:

    Also Abrogation (tafsir).
    ht tps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naskh_(tafsir)

Plus Sharia law that allows wife beating, beheading, slavery, sexual slavery, pederasty, burning homosexuals, hangings, crucifixion, stonings, etc.

“But I thought Islam is a religion of Peace!”

  9. Seminole Wind says:

Started my compost pile today, will construct a raised bed garden by the end of Feb. here in North/central Florida.

The Church we worship at does a “Farm Share” food give-a-way every 2-3 weeks. This Saturday we had 130 families show up for help. Many could not speak any English.

I am most concerned by the Communist “Resistance Movement” opposing President DJT. They are not backing down on illegal immigration and he/us is not backing down on controlling our borders. Russian media has been predicting a coming Civil War 2, for over 10 years and I believe it is coming this Spring.

    Watch out fur dem hogs!

    • Seminole Wind, so why feed one of the various enemies ?

I guarantee there are millions of US citizens that could use that help ? Old people, real disabled, many vets, all sorts of legitimate citizens needing help ? And you help those that cannot speak english ? WTF is wrong with you ?

You are one of the many problems in USA today, not any part of any solution. You are a dumbed down enabler whether you know it or not ?

      • Seminole Wind says:

Brother, first it’s not my choice who shows up, second we turn no one away because Jesus tells us to love all people in need. Third, only an evil bastard would allow anyone to go without. So if the shoe fits, wear it.

        • Maranatha says:

They will never understand until they come into the light so their evil deeds are exposed (John 3). YAHWEH knows the heart of all sincere people. And unless YAHWEH draw them (John 6), they can never get the Bible and the message of Jesus Christ. It confounds them as it’s a mystery (Ephesians 3)…especially if they are reprobates (Romans 1).

          • Maranatha says:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
            John 3:16-21

        • Seminole Wind, touched a nerve hey ? You are NOT necessarily doing Gods work if you are promoting crimes and bad acts now are you ?

You have no idea how many people, I have helped and how much time effort and money spent. It is likely far more than yourself or any single person in your church. I simply deliberately choose to do it the right and honest way and not wrapped in some phony religious junk, that is actually backasswards and promotes more bad acts ! So wear that shoe , Hey ? I realize you and many others can justify nearly anything via your fake religiosity ? That has no affect on me at all, quite the opposite. Besides giving some left over vegs is not much effort at all. Many churches here in USA a a big part of the illegal alien problem, not any solution at all and they get paid to do their junk deeds !

Good luck getting your head screwed on, finally ? Probably well past time. I know you are not necessarily bad person, just slow and a bit personally dishonest about some matters you are afraid to face in yourself. You are certainly not alone.

      • The Deplorable Renegade says:

DowntoEarthThinking.com, agreed about helping our own. Sometimes I do help someone but I make sure it’s one of our own and not some illegal aliens who already gets special treatment from DC.

        • Seminole Wind says:

“Let them die and decrease the surplus population” E. Scrooge

I think that the term “deplorable” fits you very well. Just not like Mrs. Clinton used it.

Are there no prisons? …no work houses?

        • The Deplorable Renegade, from DC and every state capitol in spades !

I despise the churches that move them all over the nation and get paid as well ! That is in fact a criminal act, not an act of mercy. And when they murder or rape somebody are those church people ever realizing what they have done or do they live in myopic and complicit ignorance like blind fools ?

I call bullshit on all of it ! I learned the hard way a long time ago to never help anybody who is NOT willing to help themselves. And coming here illegally is NO valid reason for anything much less help to bring more of the same illegals.

Betcha ya never would have guessed at the number of socialists commenting here..

  10. cranerigger says:

Maranatha, thanks for pointing out that “the religion of Peace” is NOT.

History tells us that the muslim ideology does not tolerate dissent. Look at the Iberian peninsula that was invaded and ruled in excess of 600 years by this intolerant philosophy. Americans need to realize these folks want to TAKE OVER, not assimilate.

    • Maranatha says:

Because taqiya is a principle ie lying to nonbelievers to save your own skin, then how would you EVER trust a Muslim???

I mean I have and had them over to eat and done favors and have befriended them, but when it comes right down to it, I don’t think you can trust them.

      • Chad says:

There are many muslims now in Bowling Green area due to BG being a refugee hub. Many are Bosnian. Starting to see many Africans also, assume they are muslims also.
The 2 new muslim representatives from Michigan and Minnesota should not be trusted.

        • Maranatha says:

Bowling Green is a great beautiful city. I have fond memories of visiting there. You could get a homestead on the outskirts and have everything you need.

Western University is there so it’s a vibrant town. It was quite a party atmosphere long ago with lots of lively Southern belles.

The Bosnian Americans are largely a major success story. We actually bailed out the Germans who were going to eject them, so we accepted them as refugees. They actually were highly vetted before arrival.

      • The Deplorable Renegade says:

Maranatha, you mean you’ve interacted with muslims before and are still alive? You are most fortunate. I avoid muslims like HIV. I don’t even give them the time of day, let alone anything else. “WE ARE THE RELIGION OF PEACE…..BOOM!” [SARCASM]

        • Maranatha says:

In my experience, the average Muslim American is not devout and already sees Jesus as a prophet. Bud, that is half the battle. They are open to Christianity. Many who fled do not want to live under Sharia and even despise Islam quietly.

If you look at radicalized Muslims as refugees say in the UK, they are the ones with poor English skills and can’t find work, and some imam starts preaching that their problems are due to discrimination.

Somebody has to risk witnessing to Muslims.

    • Yahooie says:

And then there is this: the pope and the grand imam of al-Azhar signed a declaration of fraternity.

      ht tps://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/feb/04/pope-and-grand-imam-sign-historic-pledge-of-fraternity-in-uae

There are many more stories but they must be searched. MSM in the USA has made no note of it.

  11. Maranatha says:

17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
    Ephesians 4:17-19

  12. Maranatha says:

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
    Romans 1:24-32

  13. In a perfect world the ending sentence in this article would apply:

“And, just as important, you’ll be well-positioned to be in service to the many less-prepared folks around you.”

Unfortunately, it will likely be more of protecting yourself against those who are ‘the many less-prepared folks around you.’

  14. Maranatha says:

The latest data points to the Quran existing before Muhammed. Whoops!

Islam is just another Luciferian religion.

    • Maranatha says:

Islamic scholars believe most will go to Hell including Muslims! And certain hadith point to Muslims going to Hell for a time before being released.

Now you would think, this would be repulsive to Muslims and create issues with conversion.

Whereas in Christianity, merely being sincere in spite of enormous sins, except one which cannot be forgiven, and asking for forgiveness and acknowledging the ressurection and accepting the grace of Jesus Christ, then one need not fear at all. If anything, Christianity is the easiest and most altruistic religion of them all.

      • Maranatha says:

        htt ps://www.answering-islam.org/Responses/Osama/karim_in_hell.htm

It’s quite technical but there is certainly evidence in the hadith that Muslims willgo to Hell albeit for a set time.

Some imams say that 99.9% will go to Hell.

  15. Maranatha says:

Christians in America believe in Matthew 25 so we have always helped legal immigrants and refugees regardless of language abilty. There is no language clause in Matthew 25.

We also have helped mostly nonbelievers, atheists, pagans, whever show up asking for help.

See unlike these folks, we help almost everybody, yet they act like we hate them. We don’t hate them; we want to help rescue them.

27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask
them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
    Luke 6:27-36

  16. Maranatha says:

I think it’s weird that nonbelievers think Christians condemn them. If I see a neighbor’s house is on FIRE, I knock on the door and warn them. That is not condemnation. I did not start the fire. I do not want my neighbors to burn.

In fact, as a Christian, I am under an obligation to help. Y’all nonbelievers have some peculiar ideas.

There is nothing in the Bible about asking permission to preach or quitting when spit upon or doing it to feel good. It’s a command to share the Gospel given by Jesus himself.

    • Maranatha says:

14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. 15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

      Matthew 10:14-15

IF I had a mean bone in my body, I could do this. But I never have.

      • Maranatha and J Krishnamurta said almost 50 years ago :

“It is no good measure of a man to be well adjusted to a sick society”

And he was right then and still is even more so quite right today. The religions are part of problem not any part of a solution. Besides the Bible you quote too often is not a complete work at all, highly censored and greatly misinterpreted and perceived by all including YOU !

There is a much better way to live and think although I realize that is inconceivable to you and others still stuck in the matrix created for you. I may be more moral and righteous than any of you ? Ponder that ? I do know I do not carry the junk you do for sure. So consider a better way and you can still pray to Jesus as I do often and daily !

Make sure you’ve got good knives/blades. keep them sharpened by stropping them. Stropping will keep most decent blades free of the wire you leave on the edge after you sharpen them with stone or diamond rod. Leaving the wire on the edge will dull the knife faster than anything.

    • Maranatha says:

Technically you can even strop a modern disposable razor blade by using a piece of old blue jeans, but I can’t strop it enough. Have you been successful?

      ht tps://www.smarticular.net/en/this-simple-tip-will-make-your-disposable-razors-last-for-months/

      • I had an antique hand crank strop at one time. You put your double edge razor blade in and cranked it. It even flipped the blade and stropped the other side when it was cranked.

I picked it up at a sale about ten years ago thinking it would be great for when the SHTF. Later someone offered me a pretty penny for it and since the S never HTF, I sold it to them.

        • Maranatha says:

          That sounds cool.

I think the problem with the blue jean method is I didn’t start stropping and cleaning right away. I guess I should follow the directions to a T. It works somewhat and I just was lazy.

I reckon most prepper guys have full beards so there isn’t much to shave really so a dispisable blade lasts awhile.

The old way was to use some shaving oil with clove and bergomont.

            ht tp://www.rubiesandradishes.com/2017/02/16/diy-natural-pre-shave-oil/

This is a very easy craft in which you merely find an inexpensive carrier oil and add a few drops of essential oil, get a inexpensive bottle from a craft store (just for aesthetics and to tightly seal it as oxidation is the enemy of oil quality), or recycle a bottle. And you are done. This would make a fine Christmas or Birthday gift either for a man or a lady. Heck your ten year daughter could do this.

Once you have these ingredients, you can make your own massage oil (typically the carrier oil is almond) aa well.

This means if you make your own ethanol, then your wife and daughters can make their own very high quality perfume which are outrageously expensive if purchased. If you don’t make your own ethanol, a very inexpensive vodka serves as the substitute.

If you have that, you can make your own extracts like vanilla as long as you get some bulk vanilla beans.

All of these things build on each other and saves you money and for some reason, ladies are hardwired to be crafty. Heck, they could make their own scented stationary or make their own paper and bind it to make journals.

Every one of these might be a craft at a Christian summer camp.

      • reper sleepr says:

I make my own strops using oak boards (8″LX 2.5″W X1/2″. Glue the smooth cowhide up on one side with contact cement. Turn the other cowhide with the rough side up and glue it down on the other side. Allow 24 hours to cure. I purchase the leather from “Michaels”. A piece of cowhide 11 inches by 8.5 inches will cost you 12 bucks. The oak board I bought at Lowes and cost me four bucks. I use these mostly to sharpen my blades and only rarely use the diamond rods. Remember if you use a strop you have to move the blade away from you using about a 20 degree angle. I have also made strops using old belts and they’ll do just as well. I’ve made strops that were only five inches in length to carry in my packs.

    • Maranatha says:

The Spyderco Triangular Sharpener is a very great system and I’ve sharpened neighbors and friends blades and scissors with it. Since it’s locked at an angle, and has a finishing stone, there isn’t much residue. You definitely can shave with most any blade once using it. You can sharpen axes and swords with it.

As you get older, your hands have a minute tremor, so this really helps.

  18. Maranatha says:

Let me get this straight. First, you mention Krishamurti who was a fraud who stepped down. He formerly was a party of the Theosophy movement.

    h ttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiddu_Krishnamurti

Theosophy was a manmade religion created by Blavatsky, a thourough evil woman who praised Lucifer.

    ht tps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theosophy_(Blavatskian)

Here a Theosophist explains this praise of Lucifer.

    ht tps://blavatskytheosophy.com/lucifer-the-lightbringer/

You are a Luciferian and you don’t want people to know, but talk in riddle. See the problem, folks?

Not only are you being disingenuous, but you are an idolater who does not worship the ELOHIM, nor got saved by the grace of Jesus, nor believe in YAHWEH as creator, nor trust in the Bible, but just made up a puny little god of your own creation.

    • Maranatha says:

Christians, as soon as you hear the word, Gnostic”, run the opposite direction.

What do Gnostics believe about Lucifer?

They are the EXACT Luciferians I am talking about, but they will not come right out and say it! Why? Because they do not want you to know!

      ht tp://www.theforbiddenreligion.com/lucifer-the-liberator.htm

      ” 11. LUCIFER, THE LIBERATOR
Gnostic myths relate that Lucifer is the Messenger of the Unknowable God. We had said that this God, the greatest one, unreachable and unknowable, is unable to penetrate this limited universe of impure and satanic matter. But according to these myths, he can send someone, Lucifer. Only with a supreme sacrifice can an incredibly Spiritual and pure being of antimatter fire break through into the infernal world of this universe. According to Gnostic legends and myths, the great Unknowable God sent Lucifer, angel of indescribable fire and light, to show man the light and to help him wake up and see his true origin, the origin of his Spirit, which has been perversely imprisoned in this impure matter called body-soul. He is an uncreated being, who came to the created world to bring Light: Liberating Gnosis. The saving knowledge which can wake man up and help him free his imprisoned Spirit. The knowledge which allows him to know who he truly is, why he is here in this world and what he has to do to liberate himself and fulfil his Spirit, which belongs to another uncreated and unknowable plane.

We have said that Lucifer came to the world to wake man up, to help him remember his divine origin, the divine origin of his Spirit, and to help him free himself from the body-soul in which he is trapped, and from created time and matter.”

      • Maranatha says:

I could go through an expose this in the Mormon faith.

I could do this for Urantia.

I could do this for Wicca.

I could do this for Atheism.

I could do this for the Illuminati

I could do this for the Neo-pagans.

Lucifer has been very busy since Lilith in Sumer. Practically every religion BUT CHRISTIANITY has been innundated and subverted by Lucifer!

  19. Maranatha says:

The genuine survival guide is the Bible and gaining salvation by faith through grace in Jesus Christ. If you want eternal survival in peace and security and life in abundance with ease, that is Christianity

Otherwise, practically every religion has been coopted including Buddhism and particularly Zen Buddhism, and even a case can be made that Hinduism is just massive idolatry with Lucufer sowing the seeds of confusion. Islam’s 12th Imam/Mahdi is most likely the Antichrist. Look it up. If you look at the darkness of theTalmud, it’s full of Luciferian ideas including justifying pederasty! If I were to quote it, it would make you furious.

I can post lots and lots of general survival tips for the new year, but that just deals with our brief time here on the Earth.

Of course everyone else is dark looking at them through a welders helmet… But that is lost on the holier than thou fraud. When you wield a hammer just or not, everything else is a nail. All religion is a religion of hate. ET will come back and show you who your real creator is. Mankind is a slave race of genetic mutation of apes courtesy of the the Annunakis lab creations. Fellow petri dish denizens think a ghost is god where all religion is refuted by historical records older than the bible. Just too ignorant to know better as science uncovers evidence of that truth daily, that predates all religious texts. But hey my mysticism matters…. Sheesh. Sun Micronova will set things straight.

  22. Maranatha says:

A central tenet of the Ordo Templi Orientis is molesting children through Sex Magick. Look up Aleister Crowley one of the most notorious Luciferians of them all.

  23. Maranatha says:

All along, old time preachers were warning that abortion was nothing more than a return to the infant sacrifices to Baal and Moloch.

And in response, the crazy leftists said, “it’s not even human and just a mass of cells”. Nevermind that BOTH ideas are misleading, false, inhuman, immoral, disgusting, and unscientific.

Now, these monstrous Luciferians are openly advocating infaticide! They are totally selfish, psychopathic murderers, perfectly willing to stab a baby in the base of the head to extinguish his or her’s life.

In what society was that ever considered to be moral? If a criminal had done that, the other criminals in jail, at the first opportunity, would END THAT DISGUSTING CREATURE’s wicked life.

You know why? If you ever do any prison ministry, then just about every criminal doing hard time can tell you horror stories about how they were raised by maniacal inhuman foul monsters. So when one is jailed, they end that nonsense by beating them into a bloody pulp. That child killer represents so dark a deed and so rotten an abomination, that they want nothing to do with the same kind of demon that ruined their lives.

YAHWEH HELP US! We now live with million of demon possessed scum.

Hug your children and grandchildren tight, there really are nightmarish monsters and they are LEGION.
