trump-thumbs-up

By this time tomorrow a new leader will have been sworn into office (publicly, dog-and-pony style) after it has first been done in private, away from the subjects and “far from the madding crowd.”  A “mystical experience” then will occur, as Obama, the man who turned America into a third world nation becomes the “Ghost of Christmas Past.”  He will float away in his helicopter with his lovely family and his Secret Service team of bodyguards, the ones who will be assigned to protect him for the rest of his life, by his own executive order…paid for by you and me.  Trump will then capture the flashbulbs and cameras as he publicly swears in.

From that point, it will all take on a new dimension.  Before Trump is sworn in, the mantra is:

“When I’m in office, I’ll change __________ that Obama did.”

(Fill in blank with problem)

After the swearing in, the new mantra will be as follows:

“Well, I can’t fix _________, right away: I inherited it from Obama.

(Fill in blank with problem)

Well, let us hope that it is not this way.  It will take a complete sea change to rectify the course this country has been heading in the past eight years.  These are some of the problems that Trump will need to reverse when he becomes President Trump, many of which he promised to either change or end completely:

  1. The (Un)Affordable Health Care Act, now law, termed “Obamacare” that is the most heinous piece of legislation…a law that mandates a requirement for a citizen to have health care coverage as dictated by government requirements.
  2. “Differentially permeable” borders: where foreigners, such as Mexicans and Canadians can come and go as they please, and illegal aliens have free access…but Americans are confined until a full cavity search is conducted.
  3. An economy based not on true GNP, but on consumer spending (almost 80%); convincing one company not to pick up and relocate overseas is an illustration of the concept, and not the implementation…not yet.
  4. A reversal of the true unemployment rate, that hovers between 15 and 20%, depending on what paid “parrot” (such as Labor and Statistics) announces the phony figure.
  5. A reversal of the Entitlement Nation: the EBT and Food Stamp users, the unemployment collectors, the Social Security Disability recipients whose corpulence from overeating is termed a “disability,” the illegal aliens on the dole for all of the above, plus free healthcare, the almost 100 million no longer “in the work force.”
  6. Knocking the knees off lobbyists, NGO’s, and NPO’s who have been holding administrations hostage (the 1st), or acting as if they were a government agency (the 2nd), or with executives profiting immensely while running on slave labor using socially misfortunate people and writing it all off (the 3rd).
  7. Revitalizing a military whose Air Force is forced to scavenge parts from “the Boneyard,” and where levels of service members in terms of numbers and readiness have fallen to their lowest point since before WWII.
  8. Resetting an abysmal foreign policy where (for the past eight years) we have instituted coup d’états, undermined relations that worked throughout the world, placed ourselves in position to start a new Cold War, and turned the Middle East and Eastern Europe completely upside down.
  9. Revitalizing a crumbling infrastructure of roads, bridges, and buildings very dangerously in disrepair…where maintenance charges and fees continue to rise with very little return on taxpayer dollars and nothing changing on our highways, ports, and bridges.
  10. Permitting (yes, permitting) and encouraging American businesses to be able to start up, operate, and produce in the United States without Soviet-style restrictions, regulations, and an army of bureaucratic “flying monkeys” inserting themselves into the business’s “fourth point of contact,” preventing U.S. businesses (especially the small proprietorships and Mom-and-Pop concerns) from either starting, or succeeding.
  11. The Supreme Court: just look at them…and nothing else really needs to be said: Except that a branch of the U.S. government meant to be a “check and balance” does not need to circumvent the Constitution and be the sole arbiter and (in essence) a lawmaker to institute policy for a presidential administration.
  12. Bring about a change in the hearts of the American people.

Perhaps the most important item in that list is the last one.  When Reagan took office, we (and he) faced double-digit unemployment, double digit inflation, and enormous taxation and loss of liberties.  We faced a crumbling infrastructure, a military that was in shambles (Desert One to free the Iranian hostages, conducted with helicopters in a sandstorm as Carter approached the midnight hour to lose the election should never be forgotten).  The Soviets were strong, and we were not…having recently ended the war in Vietnam.  We weren’t doing too well, in the world and in our own minds and hearts.

Then Reagan came, and he turned it around.  He was not perfect, but he made up for his imperfections by surrounding himself with an excellent staff.  He had a heart for the United States, and the fortitude to stand up for it.  His leadership staved off the fall of the U.S., and turned things around for us.  Do you remember that Lake Placid victory of the amateur U.S. hockey team in the semifinals against the professionals of the Soviet hockey team?  Remember the moment…a small thing, perhaps, and many may discount it as being “completely unimportant” or “unrelated to problems we now face.”

But that victory was neither one of those disparaging remarks.  It was something that we all could focus upon, to form some kind of cohesive unity and think of ourselves together as Americans…to take pride in accomplishment in something…for once, after four years of Carter.  There was a sea change made.  Did it last?  Perhaps it didn’t, and yet, if the memory of those years is still alive in even one person with the hopes of a repeat…then maybe others can feel the same.

This is still the best country in the world.  Trump’s campaign slogan was “Make America Great Again.”  Cliché, perhaps, but we must start somewhere.  Last time I checked, the preamble to the Constitution starts out with “We the people.”  Yes, we the people need to do the best we can with what we have, to be vigilant in our undertakings to prevent another eight years akin to the ones we are just emerging from, and to move forward and improve our lives.  Many will say that it doesn’t matter, and that there are forces that are out of our control that will prevent us as a nation from overcoming obstacles.

Such may be for a while, as it was under Obama.  Those times cannot last forever, and eventually the change has to occur.  We have perhaps a bigger job than those 12 items I listed for Trump to accomplish.

Number 12 is not all on him: it’s also on us.

In order for the country to succeed, the people have to return to core values of family, hard work, respect (for self and others), and faith, with one another and in God.  Trump can do a great deal, but in the end, it is we the people who will enable him to turn it around or not.  Change can’t be forced upon you by some jerk with a perfect smile who tells you that change is a movement “we can believe in,” and then assumes the role of a dictator and forces it on you.  Change is something that comes from within, precipitated by a feeling that is in one’s heart.  We have our chance to change it all, and let us wish success for this man who will become the president of the United States in a couple of days.  Let us hope that he has that feeling inside of himself and holds onto it…to unite the United States of America again.

Revoke Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize. What the hell has he done to deserve it? How many people (US military as well as foreign innocents) has the Peace Prize winner killed in all the wars he has led over the last 8 years?

    • Genius says:

JJ, unemployment insurance is paid for by EMPLOYERS not TAXPAYERS. It is limited to 6 months and is NOT a handout. Get your facts straight please.

      • Unemployment is paid for by Taxpayers. Part is taken from the people who actually work but since the financial crisis the vast majority of the benefits have come from the general funds of the Feds and the states. So Taxpayers have been paying for it whether they worked or not.

        • Genius says:

Federal extentions are tax dollars BUT there are none. Every state has it’s own setup funded by employers.

          • The Deplorable Braveheart says:

Trump should place special emphasis on #1, 2, 5, 9, 10 and 11. #12 is a lost cause. Reaching out to libturds and sheeple never works.

            • The Deplorable Braveheart says:

Another thing Trump should do is direct his AG to disband the Civil Rights Division at DOJ. They are responsible for the restraint of law enforcement and the increase in black crime ever since the Michael Brown affair. Reducing black crime will also help make us great again.

              • BlackMoe says:

Can’t reduce black crime unless you reduce blacks.

                • Jacknife says:

Only 12 things Geri? Seeing how you got all the answers, I think you should run for president. However, if you think it’s only gonna take your 12 suggestions, I hope you never run. We have a new president but the same old problems. I hope Trump does well and I hope his plans become successful, it’s still too early to tell

            • laura ann says:

B’heart: Libtards, all leftists and dumb sheeple have no brains, just solid bone heads. I say Trump must: put the system thru an orderly bankruptcy, reorg. Fed. Res. cancel 24 Trill. debt, FRS into receivership per constitution while protecting commercial banking functions, create Nat. bank under constitutional sytem of nat. credit (1 to 2% interest) outlaw derivaties. (banks are over leveraged), repeal law (1945)to get us out of UN immediately!

              • Trust a woman to cut to the chase. The first thing I took note of on reading J/J”s article is that he never even mentioned the most important issue of all, I.E.restoring honest constitutional money which requires abolishing or at least drastically reforming the FED. I predict that if Trump does not positively address that fundamental issue and keeps adding “Deep State operatives to his team from Goldman SUCKS and the like, then his presidency will be a failure and short lived.

            • neverGiveUp says:

              As to “12”
All people tend to like/join into a team it’s easier
a lot that do(stay with a team) are easy to lead it’s not they there better or worst they just haven’t been presented better answers
              the right way yet

      • Ohevi says:

Um, I’m bsorry, every paystub i have ever fotten, has a deduction for unemployment insureance.

        You get your facts straight.

        • Donna in NM says:

Um, then you’re wages are being stolen. Employers pay State and Federal Unemployment Taxes, based on wages paid. As a small business owner, I pay for workers comp insurance, but I’m not exactly sure what unemployment insurance is. Maybe a savings acct?

    • Eisenkreutz says:

I’m relocating to a tropical island.

      This is for real.

Kreutz in the blind for a few weeks while I get set up.

      I’ll be back motherfuckers.

ha some of you old fucks aint that bad

Be ready tomorrow if you live in a multiracial city.

    • Menzoberranzan says:

13 lock bitc h Clinton up for treason. 14 lock Obama up for treason.

    • buttcrackofdoom says:

revoke the peace prize? no, i say present him with the Nobel prize for EVIL.

  2. Rainmaker says:

Just shut down the FED and close the IRS.

  3. Sgt. Dale says:

    I like the list.
Let us just start with the 12 and then in a year or so pick another 12. Maybe after 4 years we might be 1/2 way back to our Republic.

Stay frosty because Friday is only the first day of the Purge of the Obama abomination of the USA.

    Aim Small Miss Small.
    Sgt.

    • Sgt. Dale says:

      THIS IS OBAMA’S FAULT.
Why you ask? Well all he would have to do is tell his leftest Turds to go to the igauration and most of them would go. tell his leftest turds not to riot and most of them would sit home and complain about Trump, and not cause a problem. Hells Bells we woul;d set at home and complain if Hitlery would have won, but we wouldn’t be planning the things they are planning. We did after Obullshit won. (twice).

Bottom line all Obama has to do it say don’t riot, and burn things down or hurt people, and Congress get you lazy asses to the ingauragtion.

So when they start their Purge, and there is counter Purge it is Obama’s fault, because he could have at least stopped most of it.

      Sgt

Hmmm, the ad that was here yesterday for the full auto bump stock kit has vanished. Did any of you save the site? I forgot to. Mac, maybe you still have it? Thanks.

      • TheGuy says:

        STOP it?

LOL really now you think he has any inclination whatsoever to stop it?

I hope they do. I really really really do. It will end their stupid bullshit image of being a bunch of world-hugging uniters so thoroughly that even idiot college students won’t be able to miss it.

Please by all means. Go for it. As violently as humanly possible while you’re at it. You’ve enjoyed 3 plus decades of clearly undeserved accolades for the shitty coat of paint image you’ve thrown over your true fascist selves. Time to come out the damn closet.

Rosie O’Donnel times however many of you exist.

      • The Deplorable Braveheart says:

Eisen, I wish you the best with that move and I really mean it. Hope to hear back from you soon.

    • TrumpsDeplorable says:

Watch all the scumbag Liberal Rates scurring out of DC the last few days. Now looking for Jobs. Soros (sorry ass) is hiring.

  4. You’re incorrect.

All President-elect Trump will have to do is KEEP his Oath to “Preserve, Protect, and Defend” the US Constitution. Once he declares that, the only problem will be implementing and carrying out that lawful duty.

With that action, every state employee, every county employee, every city employee, every politician serving; every agency employee will be REQUIRED to keep their Oath or face charges for a felony and the crime of Perjury.

Every “agency” that is not constitutionally allowed for is gone. BTW, every able-bodied American will be REQUIRED to train as the military is trained and to be armed at all times.

Richard Henry Lee, 1788, Initiator of the Declaration of Independence, and member of the first Senate, which passed the Bill of Rights: “Whereas, to preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them; nor does it follow from this, that all promiscuously must go into actual service on every occasion. …”

George Washington: “It may be laid down, as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every citizen who enjoys the protection of a free government…, but even of his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency.” (“Sentiments on a Peace Establishment”, letter to Alexander Hamilton; “The Writings of George Washington”)

Every American will also be required to read the US Constitution and their own state’s Constitution and understand them as they are the enforcement arm of the governments and the defensive arm of the people and the nation.

Some things to consider for those who have been brainwashed…

John Adams, A Dissertation on the Canon and Feudal Law (1765): “Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people, who have a right… and a desire to know; but besides this, they have a right, and indisputable, unalienable, indefeasible, divine right to that most dreaded and envied kind of knowledge, I mean of the characters and conduct of their rulers.”

The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, not the people who serve within it or the offices within a branch; and it must be observed that the only crimes assigned to the federal government in the Constitution for law enforcement purposes are Treason, Piracy, Counterfeiting, and International law violations.

  5. aljamo says:

The country is a mess is a gross understatement. Not a popular position here but I fully support single payer healthcare for all Americans. Enough of this entrenched fake healthcare. The overwhelming majority of Americans likewise support this common sense approach. Cut programs contrary to the peoples needs, like the insane waste associated with every aspect of government malfeasance. We won’t be your trashy slaves any longer.

    • TheGuy says:

It hardly matters really. I mean when you’re FORCED to buy it sure it matters but in practical terms if you get really REALLY sick you’re dead. I’m not sure if that’s this country or the world in general. They can handle shit you could handle yourself… they can handle some semi-scary stuff you can’t. But cancer? Heart disease that’s been let go and let go and let go forever? Good fucking luck with that.

Weren’t we supposed to have replacement organs grown via stem cells by now?

      BAHAHAHAA sure.

      WHATEVER.

    • abby normal says:

      THANK YOU!!!

  6. Secure our borders, evict most of the invaders, hang Bill and Hillary, firing squad for Obama, abolish the communist Civil Rights Div. of the DOJ, eliminate NAFTA and the other anti-American trade agreements. And so much more that’s wrong.

  7. rednek101 says:

The list is a very good start. I would like to add to #2

Lock the border down from one end to the other. NOTHING comes or goes without Border Patrol giving consent.
Build brand new ports of entry. Some for commercial/trucks and others for autos. Each and every vehicle gets a backscatter scan whether coming or going. The tech is cheap and readily available. Our poor Border patrol is 30 years behind in technology. They are forced to physically inspect/scan any vehicle that looks suspicious. Meanwhile, given the catch rate is 10%, 9 other vehicles with contraband slip by. We need to give law enforcement on the border the tools to do the job.

$150 billion a year is siphoned off of our economy to Mexico. $100B is drug/crime and the other $50B is via illegals sending money home.
Add to that the costs applied to illegals, schooling, welfare and other social services and we end up losing close to a quarter trillion each year. Trump has stated he is going to address this.

  8. Neal Jensen says:

SHHHHIIIITTTTT…First things first, get the Inauguration oath done, the rest is easy.

  9. lost karma says:

Gut the EPA and stop the Bureau of Land Management from going after the Bundys and others.

I worked with hazardous materials for 30 years and the regulations have gotten way out of control. Bureaucrats regulate just to regulate.

Also, back off the DOJ from going after cops who have violent encounters with blacks. 99% of the time the cops are just doing their jobs.

  10. Enemy of the State says:

If I hear Trump call this countries government a Democracy.. than he’s no better than the last bunch of jackholes
in fact .. the last President that ran this country as a Republic and voiced it as such was our last REAL president .. any ones after that or called this a democracy were shills and misrepresented this country and should have hung for it

  11. TheGuy says:

After the swearing in, the new mantra will be as follows:

“Well, I can’t fix _________, right away: I inherited it from Obama.

    (Fill in blank with problem)

Given the fact that the Republicans themselves are basically holding their nose and backing this guy out of sheer desperation…

And given the fact that the Republican Congress did exactly nothing to stop Obama…

What do you think. You think maybe it’s gonna be this way?

    Nahh…

  12. Ronald Ahrens III% says:

NOTHING absolutely NOTHING in this worthless article about ending the American Holocaust and Chemical Culling.

Can someone please, please, please tell me how a nation of obese, disease ridden, dumbed down, depressed, indebted, addicting to everything, and dying early DRUNKEN BUMS AND TOXIC DUMPS are going to make anything great???????????

    • Genius says:

I will be happy to answer that for ya Ronson…

It will get rid of a nation of obese, disease ridden, dumbed down, depressed, indebted, addicting to everything, and dying early DRUNKEN BUMS AND TOXIC DUMPS

  13. Ronald Ahrens III% says:

Truly amazing that even on here the cowards just do not understand their country is literally DYING right in front of them, and they have absolutely NO CLUE why and how their citizens are being murdered.

  14. Archivist says:

The infrastructure (roads and bridges) is mostly a state problem. The big federal money goes into the interstates. The roads and bridges here in NC (the “Good Roads State”) are fine. There are only one or two states in the whole country which have more miles of paved roads than NC. But you go across the line into VA and they have numbered roads so narrow that two cars can hardly pass each other.

  15. Brian says:

The Affordable Health Care Act was false advertising. They knew that it would cost far more than their projections and that the promises couldn’t be kept. On (3), a company’s decision to relocate are based on a number of factors. One is the corporate tax rate and it is a good piece of it. Sticking tarriffs on the products created by relocating companies works temporarily but it is a game other countries can play. On (4), they changed the way that unemployment is calculated and the way that the Consumer price Index is calculated (hide inflation). Trump is counting on making better Government contracts than they are now. There are a number of laws that require Government contractors to award contracts to promote a social agenda (woman-owned businesses, minority owners, etc.). To make the kind of deals that Trump wants, you’ll have to deal with all of thi.

  16. Faux Liberté says:

Even if he does nothing. Still an improvement.

  17. Kirk Wiggins says:

Reveal the truth about 9/11 and bring all involved to justice.

  18. Mike Alle says:

    13. STOP all U.S. foreign aid http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/politics/us-foreign-aid.htm

Because we are in more need of the money to use it for number 9.

  19. Liberty Bell says:

Also a complete overhaul of all the intelligence agencies.

These agencies among other things are responsible for allowing and covering up 9/11. They are responsible and covering up the chemtrail spraying activities, and also have allowed the usurper Barry Soetoro to play president for 8 years. The intelligence agencies the way they are now cannot be trusted.

Also the people within government and business who are part of the pizza-gate pedophile ring must be given a fair trial and then executed.

America cannot begin to heal otherwise.

    God bless you all.

  20. To make America GREAT

    Some things to consider:

Helmets for the men and women in uniform.
Traumatic brain injury and neck and spine injury is the worst, and preventable.

Get those young people the best. If there was a motive for engineers and inventive scientists, say cold hard cash$$, the likelihood is great that we’ld improve.

Secondly, sound judgement and diplomacy instead of brute force.

Third, tell Those Special Chosen in Palestine and NY and DC “no”. It’s kind of hard for them. They, like all two year olds, have a mental breakdown, hold their breath till they turn blue, and become like an epileptic fit in progress, wailing at the wall, and flailing uncontrollably. But, at some point, even (((elites))) have to grow up and realize that nobody wins every time, nobody gets what they want just because they want it, or they write books saying they should have it. What pitiful babies.

  21. charlie says:

get the liberals and islam out of the country will help a lot, and the refugees, and illegal criminals

  22. J. B. Rogers says:

Whites built this country and we are becoming a minority in our own country. Muslims have five to fifteen children and will outbreed whites until out vote doesn’t count for anything, we will have no say as to the direction of this once great nation or our future and the Muslims have stated just that.

  23. Ill believe President Trump when I can see illegals being rounded up and deported in mass!

  24. Doug says:

Revoke the order he made giving him bodyguards at our expense the rest of his “life”.

  25. Quantum Bubbler says:

What? No TERM-LIMITS? Term-limits are what enable Genoa Italy to catch up and surpass Venice back in the day.

Without term-limits America will just become a bigger bananna republic till her dying day.

  26. Kunta Kintay says:

The first thing he should do is arrest Hillary and Soros.
Then Comey Lynch. Let these NWO bastards who is in charge.
Remove the Fed Reserve, Remove Wall street, Remove and replace Congress. Have a complete audit on Capitol Hill.
Time to dump the Garbage. After that remove the UN and central bankers. That would be a good start but so much more to FINISH !!
