“We see what happened to the USSR is happening to the USSA. It’s breaking down. You cannot control a number of people, over 300 million, by a centralized government. It’s too big to operate. In the future we definitely see more secessionist movements and even regional governments.”
If we are, in fact, in the final throes of socialism, as we briefly discussed in Empty Your Bank Accounts, then the possibility of regional governments is becoming more and more likely. If, for example, the entire system were to collapse as forecasters like Marc Faber, Gerland Celente and Bob Chapman have predicted, then regional and local governments will become the invention of necessity as more people isolate themselves within their communities and depend less on the federal government, which will be essentially broke and powerless in respect to providing essential services and support functions.

I can’t believe that it is actually coming to this — we are actually discussing THESE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA in the context of socialism and communism. Is this really happening?

I’ll repeat my prediction once again: before this is all said and done, at least one state will try to secede…maybe not this year…maybe not next year. My timeline is before 2020…at the latest.

This morning, Nov. 13 Mr. Celente was a guest on Good Morning Minnesota interviewing with Governer,  Tim Pawlenty, who interestingly is seen as a potential 2012 presidential candidate according to The Associated Press. Gerald’s interview should be posted within the next few hours on http://www.830wcco.com

Celente is indeed brilliant. …and entertaining. I enjoy is east coast candor and his global insight into what is going on. I recently made the plunge and subscribed to the Trends Journal. I got all of this years back issues via e-mail. They are incredible.
