"There is no means of avoiding a final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as a result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved." -Ludwig Von Mises

Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and Trends Research forecaster Gerald Celente discuss current and future trends on Good Morning Minnesota November 13, 2009.

Gerald Celente Trend Forecast:

We’re looking for terror strikes to become very probable in 2010…

We’re saying this in reference to gold because again, you don’t look at things one dimensionally. What will spike the price of gold? That kind of thing.

Because if we have a terror strike against the United State or a major facility or a major terror strike anywhere in the world, we’re going to see this economy unravel at levels that are going to look like an economic death spiral.

Mr. Celente suggests there are many different variables in play currently, any of which could have a major effect on the global economy.
