“$38 Billion Reasons” 2nd Amendment is Crumbling: Bloomberg Targets 12 More States with Gun Control

    bloomberg-guns

State by state encroachments of the 2nd Amendment are on the move, and they are marching to beat of the drums of billionaire Michael Bloomberg, the former New York mayor and publishing mogul, and his complex of gun control organizations.

As SHTF previously noted, Bloomberg used the magic of billionaire-backed lobby groups to pass gun control in Washington state…

Gun control initiative 594 got a last minute bump from the tragic but conveniently timed school shooting in Marysville on October 24, driving sympathy and headlines to the issue about a week and a half before the election.

But the real push for I594 was from billionaires, including Michael Bloomberg and Bill Gates, who dropped an overwhelming $10 million to support the gun control initiative, while opponents – including the ‘all-powerful NRA’ – spent only about half a million. Other Microsoft execs pitched in as well.

    […]

Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg reportedly spent as much as $50 million from his personal funds just on the 2014 elections, backing the Everytown for Gun Safety movement. Bloomberg has heavily backed Moms Demand Action, formed in response to the Sandy Hook shooting, as well as Mayors Against Illegal Guns, which he formed circa 2006.

Flush with tens of millions in commitments from Bloomberg and other wealthy elites, Moms Demand Action promised back in March 2013 to “punish” lawmakers resistant to gun control in 2014 with new money to push for gun legislation – and Washington state is now a prime example of the support for ballot initiatives that money can buy.

However, reports are floating the idea that this is just a test case of future gun control initiatives to come (Nevada may be next for Bloomberg).

…And is now looking to Nevada, Arizona, Maine and several other states beyond:

Fresh off a string of election victories, former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg’s gun-control group is gearing up for a “significant” legislative push in more than a dozen states to curb gun violence, its leaders say.

First up: Nevada, where election officials could certify this week that the group and its allies have collected enough signatures for a 2016 ballot initiative that would impose stricter background checks on people buying firearms from private sellers and at gun shows. Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety also is weighing similar background-check initiatives in Arizona and Maine.

Bloomberg’s strategy to impose gun control at the state level hinges on the ability to use deep pockets to sway voters at the ballot box and bypass lawmakers altogether:

According to the USA Today, Bloomberg is currently weighing a Washington state-like initiative approach in Arizona and Maine. As one of the most gun-friendly states in the union, Arizona will be a challenge for Bloomberg. And voters in Maine just passed on the chance to put a gun control governor in office, choosing instead to stick with pro-gun, NRA-endorsed Governor Paul LePage.

Part of Bloomberg’s game is going around elected officials—bypassing legislatures and governors. Therefore, he is weighing his options. At the same time, Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety says it could take an active role in pressuring legislatures in up to 20 states.

Playing off the tragedy of the Sandy Hook school shooting and urging piecemeal requirements for “common sense” measures like background checks (tacked on with numerous other stringent requirements), Bloomberg and his billionaires-for-gun-control pals are dismantling 2nd amendment protections one bite at a time.

So much for “shall not be infringed.” Bloomberg, current mayor of Everytown, is just getting started:

“This is a huge amount of movement in two years on an issue where Republicans and Democrats ran for the hills for more than a decade,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “We’re going to build on the successes of 2014 and do more.”

The National Rifle Association conceded that gun control advocates were outspending its once untouchable lobbying capabilities:

“Their approach is to go into states where it’s easy to pass something and claim national momentum,” NRA spokesman Andrew Arulanandam said of Bloomberg’s group.

“We have $38 billion reasons to take Mike Bloomberg seriously,” he added, referring to estimates to Bloomberg’s net worth. “His money has exponential reach.”

        FreeSlave,

        From that article…

“The SAFE Act was rammed through both houses of the New York State Legislature and signed into law within 24 hours.

Legislators were given the 39-page bill only fifteen minutes before a floor vote at 2 a.m., and Cuomo waived the state’s mandatory three-day waiting period for public input on new legislation so that the law could take effect immediately upon his signature.”

        included in the SAFE Act…

“the final draft of the legislation required existing owners to register their rifles every five years and forever banned their transfer within New York State.

        Upon the death of a registered owner, the banned firearm will be CONFISCATED by police;

the decedent’s estate must arrange to have it sold out of state, or it will be destroyed.

The law also originally banned all “ammunition feeding devices” capable of holding more than seven rounds, with an exception for police, with no “grandfather” provision for previously legal items.”

        • Quit acting as if those traitors serving within our government, or the treasonous Bloomberg have that authority. They do not.

Start being derisive when they do those things. Point out it is treason. Also point out that when those who are USED (I mean that word literally) to implement those “color of law” fake laws they commit *terrorism on the American people.

*28 C.F.R. Section 0.85 Terrorism is defined as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives”.

As George Washington warned us long ago to never depend on those who serve within government, but to make sure we built and ran our own arm factories: “A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies.”

Get your state Militias going – and they are “WE the people” not the National guard or any other governmental agency. Find a constitutional sheriff and ask if you can train with them (cspoa.org). Take Oathkeepers (.org)FREE Community Preparedness Teams so that you, your family, your community can survive these traitors to the USA who are serving within our governments. They teach hands-on medical, etc.

Black’s Law Dictionary, 3rd Edition:”The body of citizens in a state, enrolled for discipline as a military force, but not engaged in actual service except in emergencies, as distinguished from regular troops or a standing army.”

Tench Coxe: “Who are the militia? are they not ourselves. Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American…The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”

Richard Henry Lee: “A militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves …”

George Mason, Co-author of the Second Amendment: “I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people except for a few public officials. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.”

William Rawle, whose work was adopted as a constitutional law textbook at West Point and other institutions, and was United States Attorney for Pennsylvania, describes the scope of the Second Amendment’s right to keep and bear arms:
“The prohibition is general. No clause in the constitution could by any rule of construction be conceived to give congress a power to disarm the people. Such a flagitious attempt could only be made under some general pretence by a state legislature. But if in any blind pursuit of inordinate power, either should attempt it, this amendment may be appealed to as a restraint on both.”

Joel Barlow American whose political writings were debated on the floor of Parliament said of the US Constitution: “… not only permitting every man to arm, but obliging him to arm.”

Cockrum v. State: “The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the State government. It is one of the high powers delegated directly to the citizen, and is excepted out of the general powers of government. A law cannot be passed to infringe upon or impair it, because it is above the law, and independent of the lawmaking power”.

Bliss v. Commonwealth: “Arms restrictions – even concealed weapons bans – are unconstitutional, since arms bearing is an individual right and the legislature may not restrict any aspect of such a right.”

Nunn vs. State:’The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.’ The right of the whole people, old and young, men, women and boys, and not militia only, to keep and bear arms of every description, and not such merely as are used by the milita, shall not be infringed, curtailed, or broken in upon, in the smallest degree; and all this for the important end to be attained: the rearing up and qualifying a well-regulated militia, so vitally necessary to the security of a free State. Our opinion is that any law, State or Federal, is repugnant to the Constitution, and void, which contravenes this right”.

Here’s the reality: you’ll either fight your OWN war for your own liberty (which would, incidentally, be a war for others’ liberty as well–IF they had the discernment to understand that) or, you’ll surrender to the powers-that-be or, you’ll be enslaved to whomever you expect to lead or join you in your fight. If you’re afraid of being a martyr for your OWN cause, if that’s what it takes, then you don’t have your own cause but, only someone else’ cause (to make them lord and master over you).

Based on that info somebody in NY needs to sue the state for infringement of their rights. If you only had a flintlock, that one shot better count. In the end a bullet is a bullet, one well placed shot or several drops a bad guy’s gun to the ground.

              • Anonymous says:

Those flintlocks were often at least .50 caliber. They were intended to obliterate whatever they hit! THAT made up for any need to reload quickly to re-shoot the same target. But, of course, regiments (thousands) of rifles, drilled (“well-regulated”) to be shot on command–regardless of casualties incurred while standing at attention awaiting the command–was (and can still be) the way for even flintlocks (or even archery) to be “automatic” weapons. Americans, however, can’t get together on ANYTHING, much less as any mass-commanded, voluntarily and resignably manned, elected-officered Militia (it’s necessary for a Militiaman to be able to resign and, in an orderly manner, to break ranks, when a Militiaman deems it necessary, in order to dissolve warlords’ ability to use compliant Militiamen for the warlords’ evil, insidious, often-called “Constitutional Republican” designs to re-enslave others to the empowerment of the warlords).

A .50 caliber flintlock would more likely blow a target’s guts out the other end–no need for a head shot! No need to quickly re-load to shoot ’em again, either. Even flintlock pistols (.60 caliber) were hand-held cannon.

They’ll wind up destroying themselves, like Hitler’s Luftwaffe would’ve done their own German army group at Stalingrad, had they been used by the German commanders to fall for the simple but effective trap made by Lt. Gen. Chuikov. Of course, the Germans DID lose that battle–and therefore, the war, largely thanks to Lt. Gen. Chuikov’s tactics.

Moreover, Australia and the United States — where no gun-ban exists — both experienced similar decreases in murder rates:

        * Between 1995 and 2007, Australia saw a 31.9 percent decrease; without a gun ban, America’s rate dropped 31.7 percent.

        * During the same time period, all other violent crime indices increased in Australia: assault rose 49.2 percent and robbery 6.2 percent.

        * Sexual assault — Australia’s equivalent term for rape — increased 29.9 percent.

        * Overall, Australia’s violent crime rate rose 42.2 percent.

        * At the same time, U.S. violent crime decreased 31.8 percent: rape dropped 19.2 percent; robbery decreased 33.2 percent; aggravated assault dropped 32.2 percent.

        * Australian women are now raped over three times as often as American women.

So Much For The Demand To Be A Sitting Duck

The Market Ticker ® – Commentary on The Capital Markets

        2014-07-08 by Karl Denninger

“It appears that at least one doctor has had enough of people trying to argue that “the only people who should have guns are government agencies.” Good thing too, or he’d be dead.”

Authorities are attempting to determine why a patient fatally shot a caseworker at a suburban Philadelphia hospital complex and whether a psychiatrist who pulled out his own gun and wounded the patient had concerns about him.

The psychiatrist, Dr. Lee Silverman, was grazed in the temple during the gunfight in his office Thursday afternoon with patient Richard Plotts, Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan said.

The patient apparently entered the facility and shot a caseworker. The psychiatrist drew his own weapon (which policy at the hospital prohibited him from having) and put a stop to the assault.

In doing so he almost-certainly saved lives, although he was hit (but not seriously) in the exchange of gunfire.

Indeed, had he been unarmed the patient could have simply wandered through the facility shooting people until he ran out of ammunition of the police arrived. He would have run out of ammunition first, of course.

Enough with the BS “gun control” garbage. As I have repeatedly noted people with criminal intent don’t give a damn what the law is, including the laws related to firearms.

The only thing that stops a murderous bastard with a gun is a good guy with gun, and the closer the good guy is, no matter who he is, the better the chance of minimizing or preventing the loss of innocent life.

Being armored makes your chances of even being able to “outgun” another more likely. Armor does NOT make one invincible nor does it give anyone a malicious advantage–especially if EVERYONE is self-armored. But, being armored would defeat many of the vulnerabilities of the people that are necessary for the powers-that-be to use (very evidently instigated) massacres for their pro-gun-“control” (of the people, not of the government–of course) agenda to disarm the people in preparation for the powers-that-be to really attack the 99% of everyone else to permanently and totally enslave them.

While the store was very crowded (and understaffed) the inevitable wait ensued to get a clerk to help. During the wait, there was a gentleman standing next to me with, it turned out, the same purpose as me. Well, this guy (an African-American) was probably 6’4′; 280 at the least, and nature had given him a very ‘scary’ countenance. He had scars, tattoos (so do I); and me being rather small at 5’7” and about 160, but a former IDF sniper who served in the 1967 Six-Day War, then immigrating to America only to join the U.S. Navy. Since my background in the IDF had trained me in some of the tactics of a Navy UDT group, I went through BUD/S and served in Vietnam. So both of us were quite capable of defending ourselves. But we were both scared!

All this said to tell the following (heartwarming?) story. He started first. He told me that he had a large family (girls), that he was unable, because of a lack of finances, even though he worked two jobs, to be able to move out of a ‘ghetto-type’ neighborhood, and he was buying a 12 gauge Shotgun to protect his home from the “young black thugs who rule his neighborhood”. Here was a guy who had served eight years in the U.S. Marines, now had nice family, held down two jobs to make ends meet, and he was ‘afraid’ of the gangsta’s that threatened his home and family.

In further discussion, we both revealed that we could not understand why this Black/White separation was not only still going on, but getting worse. We both agreed that Obama and Holder were to blame for much of the now deteriorating race relations. Neither of us could really see a ‘difference’ between us other than color of skin and size! (also I was much older). It was also revealed in our conversation that we were both Christians, me a Messianic Jew, and him a born-again believer, who faithfully attended a Bible Church.

We both found so many similarities in our beliefs, politics (very conservative), family life, and work ethic. I guess the main point I want to make here is that if he and I were passing on the street, knowing nothing about each other, we would certainly be partaking in ‘profiling’ each other; probably to the point of crossing over the street to avoid each other. It’s all a result of fallen humanity…

Shalom to all of you who endured this epic comment!
        Eli

        • TEST says:

How cool to see you are a Messianic Jew, FS! And your comment was not “epic,” but rather very enjoyable.

As I see things developing, there seems to be a divide in both the black and white community (and Latino as well): there are people of each colour who “get it”: Sexuality is reserved for marriage, children should have a mother and a father; true faith (not some pastiche that we see often) is critical, working an honest day at a job (however little it may pay) is central, understanding that the 10 Commandments are not the 10 Suggestions, etc etc.

Where people – of any colour – abide by this, the prognosis for having well-adjusted children goes up a thousand-fold, and so does the ability to at least make a reasonable living (i.e., where there is a man and wife, there is – statistically speaking – MUCH less incidence of poverty).

Took a moment to pray for your black friend now. Would LOVE to hear your story all the way back to your IDF days to now! Wonder if Mac would let you publish it?

          Shalom to you, as well!

I’ve posted the following on the last three articles posted here. When Mac posts multiple articles at one, it divides our attention and scatters us on the various articles—in other words, it’s hard for us all to get on the same page together. I hate that…

You know, the msm blackout is one thing, but I expected alternative media to do a better job of keeping track of the beginnings of world war III. HERE’S A LINK.

America is on a “Hot War Footing” House Legislation Paves the Way for War with Russia?

I think we may have bigger problems than bloomberg’s pocket depth.

        • In a lot of ways, hasn’t WWIII already started?

I seen this article this morning……and it didn’t really shock me. I have felt since 2011 that we would be at war with Russia sooner or later and that it would be on our soil. But most always told me it ain’t ever gonna happen.
          I guess time will tell.

Soon all our time will be focused on surviving and not here arguing about our opinions on everything or how the facts have played out. Of course here won’t be here.

It seems to me, the closer we get to “IT” (whatever IT turns out to be?) the less important a lot of things seem to be.

          • sixpack says:

What caught my attention was 2 things. One, they are AGAIN passing legislation to give obungler unilateral authority to put us in a war with Russia, just like they did Bush Jr.

…and two, the media blackout over it. If the MSM is blacking it out, WE SHOULD CONSIDER IT VERY IMPORTANT, and that means finding out what the hell is going on.

            • I just read my post again, and I think I wrote it wrong or at least didn’t give it enough clarity.

I think it is a big story and should be covered, especially since the LSM isn’t.

My point was more of a “for me personally I am not surprised” point of view.

    2. It has come time to ignore anything “they” have on paper and go with what God put on paper and in your heart.

Once the Constitution and Bill of Rights have been completely dismantled(and we’re almost there)..their mission statement will be a success..

The 2nd amendment is the only glue still holding it all together..the rest of them have been legislatively rendered null and void..

I don’t disagree with you possee, but what does sending money to Israel have to do with the 2nd amendment in the US? BTW, there are several places in the US where the 2nd amendment has been rendered null and void, under the guise of “protecting the populace”. The Pavlovian approach is alive and well in the US. Show a shooting at a public place on the nightly news and you get the automatic response from the stay-at-home moms and metro-sexuals in America, “Please save me”(9/11, Sandy Hook, etc.). “Can’t see the forest for the trees” should be the motto of the US.

Galt….Invest in more ammo and pray fo guts to use it. They know the people In the north east do not have what it takes to confront them.

      • NRA is the proverbial frog that has been slowly boiling to death ever since they allowed the Brady bill to be passed more than 20 years ago. No way would I ever donate money to such an ineffectual organization. NRA has lost whatever credibility that they once had Iong ago.

        • John Q. Public says:

The NRA started compromising long before Brady. You can thank the NRA for the Gun Control Act of 1968.

        • Kevin2 says:

The NRA operates in the real world. They don’t “allow” gun laws to pass, they don’t always have the political muscle to stop it. They often have enough influence to wait for a better day such as the Clinton Assault gun laws that had a 10 year expiration. Who can sway sufficient votes for or against a Legislator that often is the difference of them getting or keeping office regarding the Second Amendment? The NRA. If it weren’t for them we would be if not England at the very least Australia.

Carry permits shall issue? Without the NRA it wouldn’t have happened.

GOA brings the legal cases the NRA the vote. Both work in conjunction.

          • Fair enough, Kevin. How about I just choose to stop asking for permission to exercise my 2nd Amendment Right all together? Better yet, how about I just stop asking for permission to exercise ANY of my Constitutional Rights? I’ve tried the so-called “Soap Box”. I’ve tried the so-called “Ballot Box”. Absolutely NOTHING seems to be working these days. Do you have any suggestions other than “writing my Congressman” or “voting the bums out”? Hmm…i’m thinking that only leaves the one final alternative. Yeah Baby! The “Cartridge Box”!!!

      • Rebel in Idaho says:

Yeah I used to support the NRA, but they’ve gotten kinda wishy washy lately. I’d rather buy ammo than send them money.

      • White Fox says:

The NRA is a paper tiger, only liberal assholes thinks otherwise. They won’t get a penny from me until they start making real changes and reversing the infringements across the country. If you must donate, donate to the GOA.

        • Kevin2 says:

The GOA handles the courts and the NRA the elections. The GOA is insignificant in the election process. The NRA is the most effective grass roots lobbying organization in the US bar none.

Both fight the battle on different ground. Both are necessary.

      • FreeSlave says:

        Hi Test,

I found the following via Google. What do you think of it? Excerpts:

“The loss of a child is a pain few parents can imagine. For those whose children were brutally murdered at the Sandy Hook Elementary School (SHES) on December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut, that incalculable grief has been made worse by a group of conspiracy theorists who have accused them of being actors in an elaborately staged hoax.

Among the few surviving family members who have spoken out against these accusations is Lenny Pozner, whose son, Noah, was among the 26 women and children killed that fateful morning.

In an exclusive interview with this AMERICAN FREE PRESS reporter, Lenny opened up about his ongoing struggle to address the myths and falsehoods surrounding the SHES tragedy, his attempts to meet with the so-called “truth seekers” who have been spreading those lies and the resistance he’s faced at every turn.

“I used to entertain conspiracy theories until I found myself at the center of one,” said Lenny. “That’s when I really woke up and realized that some are more interested in propagating fear than getting at the truth.”

Although these hoax theories primarily flourished on obscure websites and YouTube videos in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy, Lenny said they attracted a much larger audience after radio host Alex Jones virtually endorsed them in a video segment posted on his website.

Troubled by the position Jones was taking, Lenny decided to contact him.

Lenny said he received a prompt reply from Jones’s assistant, Aaron Dykes.

“He wrote and said that ‘Alex has no doubt that this was a real tragedy and sympathizes with the victims and their affected loved ones,’ ” Lenny said. “I also received an email from Paul Joseph Watson of [the website] ‘Prison Planet’ who said they had ‘actively distanced’ themselves from the ‘actors thing’ and believed it ‘was a very real tragedy with very real victims.’ ”

Lenny continued: “Although these replies sound sincere, Alex Jones has since had conspiracy theorists Wolfgang Halbig and Florida Professor James Tracy on his program. All of these people are cut from the same cloth. They’ve all been exploiting the Sandy Hook murders and continue to promote the theory that it was a hoax. They’re influencing the minds of gullible kids who basically need a way to cope with distressing events. So I sent emails out to all three. If they were real investigators looking for answers they would have contacted me.”

Lenny went on to say that none of the men replied to his emails. He did, however, contact Halbig through a third party, who reported back that Halbig did not wish to speak with him.

The reluctance of these so-called truth seekers to meet with this accommodating Sandy Hook parent is puzzling to say the least. Of the surviving family members, Lenny has been the most accessible and transparent. Not only does he maintain a website where he shares family photos and personal insights on Noah, he’s also publicly released his son’s birth certificate, report card, death certificate and two pages of an investigative report by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner despite these documents being exempt from disclosure under Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Act.

“People still aren’t satisfied, though,” Lenny said. “To them, every document is a fake and every witness is part of a grand conspiracy. Now they want to dig up the bodies. They can’t be taken seriously. They’ve become completely detached from reality.”

        • TEST says:

Thanks FS. It is VERY important that conspiracy theories are fully vetted, so I appreciate what you write. Of course, “Lenny” may still be a shill for the whole SHES issue, though intellectual honesty demands we give him a fair hearing. But Halbig – leaving Jones aside for the time – has impeccable credentials, and little to gain by pursuing this. Worse, I am personal friends with an just retired IL. state trooper. He noted to me that kids were supposedly piled together. BUT, th .223 round does NOT penetrate multiple people, and barely makes it through drywall. So how is it that all these kids were piled together with supposed .223 rounds that went through multiple people? Laws of physics mean that is impossible. And why has the state of CT. come down on anyone even questioning the series of events there? Why not let a thousand questions bloom, and get to the bottom of this, rather than squelch any investigative reporting? Then there was that fellow – I forget his name – who was laughing and smiling before he went on to start sobbing about the loss of his child. You can google this.

In sum, Halbig seems like the real deal. There is no cui bono (who benefits) that I can see with him. IMHO, there is something very, very fishy that went on there, and people seeking answers are being stonewalled. So, my opinion is that something very fishy is going on there, and Halbig is on to something, though I dont’ know how big. But google Halbig and look for yourself as to the evidence he presents.

          • slingshot says:

.223 with go through dry wall like goose shit through feathers.

The 55gr. bullet does tumble and that affects penetration. Straight and level flight is 3260 feet per second.
Ball ammo and soft points have different penetration characteristics.
Moving on to 62 gr. steel core military penetrators would have no problem moving through the flesh of more than one person depending on the body part.

            • Kevin2 says:

Let me know if anyone volunteers to stand behind a grown person and a frame wall sheathed with sheetrock as a shield for a 5.56 / .223 55 grain FMJ. Forget about the green tip 62 grain projectiles.

This might be a hoax.I never seen the mass funerals on TV which the MSM would have shown over and over to tear at the hearts of America. Then again it might be the real deal. At one time it was said, “Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see”. In our technical time if you see it through any means other than real time at the scene with only your eyes from a great vantage point it is to be thought of skeptically from all sides. Everyone has an agenda.

Technology is complicating not simplifying life.

            • dave in Idaho says:

If your bullet is tumbling in flight, then you have a barrel twist/bullet weight issue. When shooting a target, the hole should not ne keyholed. If it is, change bullets assuming your barrel isn’t shot out. Also fps depends on bullet weight, unless you are reloading your own and have a specific reason to speed up or slow down a bullet, keeping within designed chamber pressures.

              • slingshot says:

                DII.

Ruger Mini 14 depending on the serial numbers. Has 1-7, 1-9, and 1-10 barrel twists.

              • Kevin2 says:

The entire .223 / 5.56 MM family from 55 grain through 62 grain tend to tumble upon striking flesh or ballistic gelatin. Granted the more rapid the twist the greater the terminal stability. The Soviets left a hollow space behind the tip of their 5.45-39 AK74 round that facilitated this “Quarter Back Sneak” around the Hague Accords and the Afghans called it, “The poison bullet”.

            • TEST says:

Yes, I meant the .223 tumbles. I have no idea how goose droppings penetrate feathers, but my neighbor, who is a senior state trooper (just retired) has specifically told me they went with the .223 round for the issue of drywall penetration. Does it STOP complete penetration? I suppose that depends on a lot of variables. However, the tumbling begins and energy is *mostly* dissapated. And of COURSE I wouldn’t want to stand behind a person .223 being shot. But that still does NOT invalidate my comments.

      • Tom T says:

I had the chance to work with Wolfgang Halbig when he was with Seminole County I was a contractor on the fire alarm systems. This guy is NOT a kook by any means very level headed, smart and a good guy. If he said it then that’s what happened.

        • TEST says:

I appreciate FS’s comments though – very imporant post he made. I’m not saying the kids did, or didn’t die. All I know is that there is a lot of stuff that is not adding up, and there is something very fishy going on, though I don’t know to what extent. Lenny’s son’s death is certainly a tragedy, and my heart goes out to him – it sounds like he is being up-front, and I have to assume from what FS reports, he did indeed lose his son. But, as you note, Halbig is also extremely credible and highly credentialed… and with nothing to gain from pursuing this. I sense no duplicity with him. There are a LOT of questions that are outstanding with Sandy Hook, and the CT. police chief stonewalling any independent investigations into this issue are not helping.

Thanks, FS, for posting this. An important piece to consider in the total equation.

Does anyone really think that Bloomberg spends his money to disarm law-abiding citizens because he “cares” about the violence and the people? Disarmament is a worldwide plan implemented by the tribe, to make sure resistance is futile. Don’t give up your guns. You will need them.

        • Condor Day:4 says:

Facts is facts. There has been an Ongoing aprox 2000 year old PLAN to exterminate ALL christianity. It began when the FIRST Christian aka Jesus christ was set up/murdered BY the Same tribe that Today has aprox 300+ tribal orgs of the private sector within the usa alone. Along with countless other nations similar related orgs.

They exist for several promotions/reasons yes…BUT one of if not The Main reason for them many orgs is to subvert govnts, end gun rights, end free speech rights and overtake total full control of every nation on earth and form it all into a giant NWO of which should really be called a “J” wo for no other single group of persons globally are so determined to acomplish this.

This is also well proven as facts by the tribes OWN, Many writeings, newspaper articles published in Harretzz paper daily in Israel state…Articles over time published by various tribe owned magazines etc, and most important is as taught by Talmudic rabinical voices who ceaslesly promote such activities…It was mostly done quietly and secretivly prior to the Internet being made avail to all folks…But Today such proof infos abound in more places than any one person can read or consume in three lifetimes!…Go get you some, see for yourself if not truth and fact. The distractors and defenders of all isues tribe calls Us types vast conspiricy…Yet what should Their fables and wild claims be called? Do YOU really believe 98.8% of worlds populations are ALL evil bad peoples and Thats reason jewry has had such many troubles all along for so many centuries now? really?!

What if the tribes Not so innocent as you was told? What if you was LIED to?…Easy to fact check it all with todays resources online.

This IS Factual truth. As evidenced not only by what we all have seen our entire lives on antigun BS laws etc, but can be seen by watching any of every major tv news station 24/7/365…Where aprox 90% of the faces and voices you see and hear are tribe members of one type or another, with the remaining 10% composed of Shaboz Goyims.

AKA Shaboz goys willing to sell YOU out, sell OUT usa, usa govnt, and do whatever, whenever, always, For their tribal masters who sign the goyims checks on payday, supply lucrative Book deals galore to said shaboz goys, and convince the shaboz goys that regardless WHAT ever happens, no matter How bad it ends up due to their traitorus activities in exchange for said pays and book deals etc…That those shaboz goyims are going to get Included WITH the actual bonafied tribe membership and gaurenteed same saftey as actual tribe membership will recieve.

This of course historically has been proven time and again to be a false security, as all goys who has ever dealt with such things have learned the hard way.

The worlds nation Wrecker tribe is adept also at recieving the worlds largest Trophy, if one such trophy existed, for being consistently proved as the worlds greatest Liars!

If such stupid goys would simply Take Christs words for it and believe he was correct when he said “They are Imposters and really of the synagouge of satan” and said also that “They are of their father the devil satan” and “That they will DO the Lusts of Satan IE LIE-STEAL-MURDER”…..Such subversive activities across the board would rapidly Cease to be so…For once such idiotic and greedy for cash deals shaboz goys finally believe that Christs words carries far greater weight compared to tribal lies etc….They too would fast awaken to the REAL DEAL….And without such vast help from so many shaboz goys in govnt and MSM as well as average regular duped goys galore in usa…The entire tribal Plot will fall apart at seams totally.

And being so small of a minority the tribe members here in america will have just TWO remaining choices…#1-Straighten Up and act right finally(good luck on that one as even God by both massive blessings and massive curses was unable to convince the majorty of the tribe to straighten up!)…OR choice #2- Get the Fuck OUT of america and do NOT return ever again!

Some say the days fast comming when such tribe membership is going to need make a very serious choice…Either be true usa patriots and join with the rest who are too…or remain stiff necked stuborn types so often named biblically and exit with the tribes mass exodus from usa.

And ANY persons who truely believe that every Goyim gentile withn at least 109 Nations in past eras, that booted the tribe Out of their respective nation, many nations haveing had to do so several times over!..Were ALL some type “Evil nazis” and bad folks while always the booted tribe members were just always somehow 100% innocents that never deserved that boot out?

Then maybe You too need start to Pack your bags and admit you too are a shaboz goy Traitor….A Nation Traitor of usa as well as a race traitor if you are white…Worse yet if a whitey christian!…White christians should be the most wized up of ALL folks everywheres…But fat too many aint due to severe dupeings and brainwashings from every sector secular and religious.

Admit it shaboz goy christians you Are one day going to awaken to these issues and facts right…So why wait till Your necks on chopping block to do that?…Wont You be far better off to awaken prior to SHTF? Better off to Now learn truths and of whom the deadly edomite enemys truely are?

It is NOT a virtue to remain wrong due to stiff necked stuborness you know…It is idiotic at best. Deadly at worst.

Although we have libturds in our state legislatures, not one of them ever dare to introduce any bill interfering with private gun ownership. they don’t and will never have any level of political support for such a bill. The Southern states are ALWAYS in favor of private gun ownership. We’ll run out the likes of Bloomberg and his ilk on a rail.

I knew, of course, that this would occur– enough money thrown to the states and then they comply with the NWO (Police State)and outlaw guns.

Years ago, I was butting heads with the DMV in my hometown over National ID card (new laws regarding driving licenses). I fussed at the cop at the DMV, saying that other states were refusing to go along with this because it was Unconstitutional. He said that the states were now complying with Federal demands, after enough money was given to the states to comply (bribery).

And when I looked it up on the Internet, I realized he was right– the states finally gave in to the Fed govt and were complying. so, of course, it was a matter of time before Obummer bucketshit got the states to go along with his Vision of the Destruction of the 2nd Ammendment.

America’s Children: The Trials of Growing Up in a Police State

THE FOLLOWING IS A CLIP FROM AN ARTICLE AT PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS’ WEBSITE… PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE!!! It shows as clearly as the nose on your face that we are slowly descending into a Police State.

If you read Naomi Wolfe’s books, you will see that what happened in Nazi Germany is happening here in the U.S. EXACT SAME THING!!!

        By John W. Whitehead

“It’s been three weeks since the flashbang exploded next to my sleeping baby, and he’s still covered in burns. There’s still a hole in his chest that exposes his ribs. After breaking down the door, throwing my husband to the ground, and screaming at my children, the officers – armed with M16s – filed through the house like they were playing war. They

Just more from the left’s war on women. Dr. Lott (Univ. of Chicago), the former gun control advocate turned gun supporter, and author of More Guns, Less Crime documents many thousands of situations where civilian guns saved lives, but here is one woman, in her own words, discussing after the fact how her gun saved her life: http://bcove.me/zgbghtxu.

As a matter of fact, Gun Owners of America, at http://gunowners.org/sk0802.htm, cites statistics indicating guns are used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense, or around 80 times a day (other statistics estimate this number could range as low as 1.5 million, but either number is a lot!). This includes 200,000 women a year using guns to defend themselves against sexual abuse – in fact, here is the actual 911 recording of some woman doing exactly that: http://www.therightscoop.com/holy-crap-911-call-of-woman-defending-herself-against-stalker-who-broke-into-her-house/.

It is precisely these situations that the gun grabbers would make worse! As a matter of fact, as of 2008, armed citizens killed more violent bad guys than the police (1,527 vs. 606). Overall, guns in the United States are used 80 times more often to prevent crime than they are to take lives (http://thetruthwins.com/archives/you-wont-believe-the-crazy-things-that-are-being-said-about-gun-owners ). Cato Institute has a complete article on this topic for your further reading, Tough Targets: When Criminals Face Armed Resistance from Citizens,” In fact, renowned author and poet Maya Angelou is a poster child (make that “elder”) for using guns in self-defense, telling Time Magazine in 2013 she once stopped a a presumed attempted burglary at here home by firing her gun. Said Angelou: “I do like to have guns around… I don’t like to carry them, but I like – if somebody is going to come into my house and I have not put out the welcome mat – I want to stop them.” http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,2139706,00.html

Hmmmm, sounds like Bloomie and his Progressive/Marxist pals are planning on having their own revolution and what the “masses” to be unarmed.
Sorry, Bloomie, but I would be willing to bet, that in time, you will become another statistic in the violent crime epidemics sweeping the Progressive/Marxist strongholds in the NorthEast. Not a threat at all, but seems to be the way you knuckle heads manage to get yourself into serious trouble with the local populace you desperately HAVE to control politically and economically.

Dianne Feintstein, D-CA, Us Senator, also makes sure that HER CA CCW permit, is renewed consistently and also holds a “Special US Deputy Marshal” ID, like many other senators and high ranking congressional reps, so that they can legally carry anywhere they want to.Unfortunately, Feinstein and her uber-wealthy husband, Richard Blum(Comcast majority stockholders along with Dianne) are “above” the little people like us. why, even that paragon of political virtue Barbara Boxer-D-CA, Us Senator, has HER CA CCW permit, while insisting that her constituents in HER home county are denied the same privilege. Some pigs ARE more “equal”(deserving) than others. Their actions speak louder than their own hyperbole. Both Boxer and Feinstein have their own US taxpayer supplied bodyguards, (US Capitol Police officers) that provide 24/7 protection on them, in DC and at home. Something we mere mortals don’t get.

    12. Enemy of the State says:

Denny, a former FBI agent and a Navy veteran, estimates the number of AR15’s in the United States now “somewhere around eight or nine million. The rate of them being produced is just enormous,” he said. And that’s just one type of semi-automatic, high-capacity rifle. Slate noted that more than 800,000 Ruger Mini-14 rifles, based on an M-14 design from the 1950s and ’60s, had been produced since 1974.
And how many millions of Kalashnikov pattern weapons have been imported/manufactured in the past 20 years? How many millions of SKS carbines? How many 7.62 NATO semi-autos? Can you say “Law of Unintended Consequences,” Clinton and Obama? Malloy and Lawlor? Hickenlooper and Bloomberg? I knew you could. I wonder what Chuck Schumer and Diane Feinstein think about in the privacy of their toilets when they contemplate these numbers? More than two decades of “gun control” laws and all they’ve managed to do is motivate the rest of us — including, most especially, their political enemies — to arm to the teeth. That’s got to be rated pretty high on the all-time “epic fail” list of collectivism.

We’re armed, all right. I used to see pallets of SKS rifles in shops and shows, take your pick for $99.95. Local dealer got a dozen HK91 rifles in stock around 1985, by payday at the end of the same week, they were gone. Just conventional bolt rifles have disappeared. The Lee-Enfield and Mauser 98, once common and cheaper than dirt, are now expensive and tough to find. The Mosin-Nagant rifle, millions imported and sold for as little as $79, has now just about doubled in price and is getter harder to find. Three million Russian Capture weapons, Mausers, Lugers, P38s, came on the market and sold in about 2 years. All of it just disappeared into the great American gun market.

        • Old Guy says:

Years ago a pawn shop had a barrel of 762×54 boly action. $39 take your pick. I went through the whole barrel. took them outside and put a piece of white paper in the breech and looked down the barrels. I picked out two that where pretty good. I bought a lifetime supply of steel ammo. that 54 will peneterate a inch thick steel bulldozed blade. I shot a hole through mine . looks like you drilled it with a 3/8 drill.

Russia for example has just amended it’s gun control laws, and now lists “self-defense” as a legally acceptable reason for carrying a weapon along with hunting and target practice.

In the Ukraine, citizens are permitted to own non-fully automatic rifles and shotguns as long as they are stored properly when not in use. Handguns are legal for target shooting and for those who hold a concealed carry permit.

SWITZERLAND, GUN CONTROL & LEFTIST IGNORANCE

Good post. As the old saying goes, Teddy Kennedy’s cars have killed more people than all the guns of 99.999% of all gun owners in America. And this true around the world. My brother lived in ultra-safe Switzerland for years. Why is Switzerland so safe?

Wikipedia notes: “If you were a Swiss man, you would be a soldier as well. Every able-bodied Swiss man must go to the army in Switzerland for 90 days (Rekrutenschule-Ecole de recrue) and then every 2 years until the age of 42, he must return for practice for 19 days. This allows the government to raise an army of 400,000 men, fully armed, within 24 hours, as every soldier has an assault gun in his house, complete with ammunition.” http://switzerland.isyours.com/e/swiss-business-guide/swiss-army.html “; moreover, “Each individual is required to keep his army issued personal weapon (the 5.56x45mm SIG 550 rifle for enlisted personnel or the SIG 510 rifle and/or the 9mm SIG-Sauer P220 semi-automatic pistol for officers, medical and postal personnel) at home with a specified personal retention quantity of government issued personal ammunition (50 rounds 5.56/48 rounds 9mm…)
        http://en/wikipedia.org/wiki/gun_politics_in_switzerland.”

Switzerland which has had three times the gun ownership as, for example Germany, has also had a much lower murder rate. And statistics like this ring true throughout the world. A short 3 minute video is here, for those that wish to see a short report on the Swiss and their guns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WFUu7cfa7k&feature=player_embedded#t=22s
Indeed, Thomas Sowell notes countries with stronger gun control laws than the US, such as Russia, Brazil and Mexico (Mexico basically bans firearms completely, yet has a higher gun homicide rate than the US), have much higher murder rates, while there are many countries with high rates of gun ownership but low murder rates, such as Israel, New Zealand and Finland. In fact, in Mexico, the murder rate is 22.7 murders per 100,000, whereas the global average is ~7 homicides per 100,000, and the gun happy US is 4.8 murders per 100,000. http://landdestroyer.blogspot.com/2013/01/how-to-end-gun-debate-forever.html.

That is correct – the US, which has the widest gun ownership in the world, is below the worldwide average in homicides. Of course, in the US, approximately 90 million legal owners of guns, owing 300 million firearms; murdered zero people last year. Contrast that with the approximately 170 million Prof. R.J. Rummel of Univ. of Hawaii, in his book Death by Government, says were killed in the last century, the majority of them after their governments disarmed them (Stéphane Courtois, author of the highly regarded Black Book of Communism estimates 94 million were murdered by Communists alone). An hour long, very sobering summary video documenting what happens when the population has their weapons removed can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDivHkQ2GSg&feature=player_embedded#t=8s Or perhaps one might wish to contrast this to the 32,000 people who lost their lives – including thousands of youth – in car accidents last year (see http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/2012/tables/12s1103.pdf or http://www.nhtsa.gov/NCSA to get the latest exact figure). And for those of you who correctly answered the “cars are necessary, but guns are not” objection, a gold star, for indeed you are correct – an armed population, as the Founding Fathers repeatedly noted, is the sine qua non of a free country and a free population. “Free” as in – as historical records show – comparison to a country like the USSR, Cuba or China that end up murdering millions – including children (just google “Ukrainian Kulak” and look at the photos of millions of children who were murdered by Stalin’s government. As the saying goes, “Free men have guns; slaves do not.”

Kevin, you’re missing the Bloomberg issue entirely. Here in Washington, a handful of rich leftists bought millions of dollars in ad time and saturated the public with their crap. It worked here, and it will work in every other state. He’s bypassing the legislatures entirely and getting civil rights put up for a vote of a complacent, gullible, population.

Yes, we got through Sandy Hook and the AWB at the federal level. We turned down I594 in Washington in the legislature two years ago. Bloomberg intends on getting rid of guns one state at a time. Don’t be fooled.

    31. TEST says:

JOE BIDEN, LEFTISTS AND YET MORE LEFTIST IGNORANCE ABOUT THE 2ND AMDENDMENT.

One final point about armed citizens. People like Piers Morgan continually make what they think is the clever point about the fact that we don’t allow people to purchase tanks or 50 caliber machine guns to defend themselves from government tyranny. US Representative Gwen Moore (D-WI) put it this way “Where are we going with [the Second Amendment]? I mean, do individuals get to own nuclear weapons? Do they get to own submarines, with this notion that they have a right to bear arms? No.” National embarrassment Joe Biden weighed in with the same thought, stating “For example, if the idea was to be able to repel a tyrannical government, then you should be able to own an F-15 if you have the money to buy it, with full ordnance. But you’re not allowed to do that, and the [Supreme] Court says you can deny certain weapons available for individual ownership. You can’t have a nuclear bomb.”

The answer to simple people like Uncle, Joe, Piers and Gwen, who have not taken the time to fully think through the issue is this: It is true that society has decided that people should not be able to arm themselves with an Abrams tank, or F-15. But, despite all the technological advances since the Constitution was written, society still believes the core idea of defense against potential tyranny applies. As noted by one Chinese Tienanmen Sq survivor, a mass number of armed citizens disbursed throughout a city would indeed be able to turn back a modern army – unless that army was prepared to level a whole city.

Essentially, the argument for allowing citizens AR-15s is the concept first advanced by France with its Force de Frappe or Force de dissuasion. A brief history lesson is in order regarding this, as it is directly applicable to the question Piers Morgan just doesn’t get. In sum, after Charles de Gaulle’s return to power in 1958, he was concerned that the US would not protect France from a Soviet invasion – by the 1960s, the US was knee deep in Vietnam, and besides, why would the US risk America for France? As Wikipedia notes – and is critical to the discussion here – “The strategic concept behind the Force de Frappe is one of countervalue, i.e., the capability of inflicting to a more powerful enemy more damage than the complete destruction of the French population would represent. The enemy, having more to lose, would therefore refrain from proceeding any further. This principle is usually referred to in the French political debate as dissuasion du faible au fort (Weak-to-strong deterrence) and was summarized in a statement attributed to President de Gaulle himself:

“Within ten years, we shall have the means to kill 80 million Russians. I truly believe that one does not light-heartedly attack people who are able to kill 80 million Russians, even if one can kill 800 million French, that is if there were 800 million French.” Similarly, General Pierre Marie Gallois said “Making the most pessimistic assumptions, the French nuclear bombers could destroy ten Russian cities; and France is not a prize worthy of ten Russian cities” and French Admiral de Joybert in his book La paix nucléaire (1975), simply put it this way “Sir, I have no quarrel with you, but I warn you in advance and with all possible clarity that if you invade me, I shall answer at the only credible level for my scale, which is the nuclear level. Whatever your defenses, you shan’t prevent at least some of my missiles from reaching your home and cause the devastation that you know. So, renounce your endeavour and let us stay good friends.”

Judge Alex Kozinski, of the liberal 9th Circuit Court, made a similar point in his dissent with his fellow judges, and is worth quoting at length:

“All too many of the other great tragedies of history – Stalin’s atrocities, the killing fields of Cambodia, the Holocaust, to name but a few – were perpetrated by armed troops against unarmed populations. Many could well have been avoided or mitigated, had the perpetrators known their intended victims were equipped with a rifle and twenty bullets apiece, as the Militia Act required here. If a few hundred Jewish fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto could hold off the Wehrmacht for almost a month with only a handful of weapons, six million Jews armed with rifles could not so easily have been herded into cattle cars. My excellent colleagues have forgotten these bitter lessons of history. The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid stories of gun crime routinely do. But few saw the Third Reich coming until it was too late. The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed – where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.” Judge Alex Kozinski dissenting in Silveira v. Lockyer, 328 F.3d 567 (9th Circuit 2003) (full text https://bulk.resource.org/courts.gov/c/F3/328/328.F3d.567.01-15098.html )

This, then, is the answer to the AR-15 question. While the force that is allowed citizens is indeed still asymmetrical, both the Constitution, as well as experience from history, dictates that citizens, to remain free, must have enough force at their disposal to be a “force de dissuasion.” The above, along with the facts that the AR-15 has indeed been used multiple times for home defense (as noted in this paper), and is almost never utilized in crimes, and is not automatic, is the answer why we should allow so called “assault rifles” (which in fact, are not assault rifles!) to the public.
But let’s look at this from another angle – that of the legal one: As a matter of fact, as the very important article at http://www.utahpreppers.com/2013/02/the-gun-owners-guide-to-critical-court-cases/#more-4861 notes, there are legal precedents – including ones by the US Supreme Court – that prohibit gun confiscation. Citing Heller v. McDonald, Columbia v. Heller, Mack and Printz v. the United States, the United States v. Lopez (all within the past 20 years), as well as other cases earlier in time, case law has shown that the restriction of gun ownership by the state is heavily circumscribed Gun ownership is a right that is recognized, not a privilege that is granted. End of story.
Incidentally, weapons that are allowed in most states include flamethrowers, 2,000 – 6,000 rounds per minute (up to 166 rounds per second) mini-guns, black powder cannons, grenade launchers (grenades are not legal), nun-chucks, umbrella swords, spearguns, and more. http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/Media/Slideshow/2013/03/28/10-Weapons-You-Wont-Believe-Are-Legal.aspx

Here is what I wrote earlier, illustrating your point: Essentially, the argument for allowing citizens AR-15s is the concept first advanced by France with its Force de Frappe or Force de dissuasion. AsThomas Sowell points out in his article Invincible Ignorance, gun control apologists are easily disproven by a number of easily verifiable facts: Gun ownership is higher in rural areas than in urban, but urban areas have a higher murder rate; legal gun ownership is higher among whites than blacks, but the murder rate is higher among blacks; and most tellingly, gun ownership doubled in the late 20th century, but the murder rate went down. And while liberals crow that England has stronger gun control laws than the US, with a lower murder rate, a mere scratch beneath the surface exposes serious flaws in the gun grabber argument. Long story short, England has had a lower murder rate than the US for two centuries, and for the bulk of that time, the laws did not differ. In fact, Sowell notes in the mid 1900s, one could buy a shotgun in London with no questions asked, while New York, which had the stringent Sullivan Law restricting gun ownership since 1911, had several times the murder rate of London. In 1954, there were only a dozen armed robberies in London, but by 2000– after stringent gun control laws were put in place – there were over one hundred times as many armed robberies. Sowell concludes by noting “Neither guns nor gun control was the reason for the difference in murder rates. People were the difference.” The short Sowell article can be found at http://lewrockwell.com/sowell/sowell123.html.

And one point Sowell left out: if it is true that – as the left posits repeatedly – drug control doesn’t work, why would gun control be any different? With the 300 million guns in the US, how effective would confiscation be? The reality is that there will be plenty of guns left – but only in the hands of criminals. But of course, gun confiscation will not work – even law abiding citizens indicated in a poll that 2/3rdds of them would not comply with an order to turn in their guns. In a Fox poll of of U.S. voters, question 46 in the survey of more than 1,000 registered voters asks if there was a gun in the household. Of the 52 % said yes, someone in their home owned a gun . But on to Question 47, addressed to those with a gun in their home: “If the government passed a law to take your guns, would you give up your guns or defy the law and keep your guns?” The response: 65 percent reported they would “defy the law.”
http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/watercooler/2013/jan/20/two-thirds-us-weapons-owners-would-defy-federal-gu/#ixzz2IzIH2kQq . But in any event, the whole confiscation issue is absurd: 70% of gun related crimes are committed by repeat offenders, so why the over-the-top obsession about non-offenders?

And gun control happy England had also best not call the kettle black. While the numbers are probably massaged lower than they really are to make things look better, the UK has had a very troubling 77% increase in violent crime recently, with 2,034 violent crimes per 100,000 residents – while what we consider crime ridden South Africa has “only” 1,677. Is CNN’s Piers Morgan listening? And if so, is he intellectually honest enough to address these facts?
If not, the UK’s Telegraph let all the cats out of the bag in a July, 2009 article, entitled UK is violent crime capital of Europe, found at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/5712573/UK-is-violent-crime-capital-of-Europe.html . A few salient facts from this article by Richard Edwards, the crime correspondent for the paper: since around the time of England’s gun ban, there has been a 77% increase in murders, robberies, assaults and sexual offenses. In 2007, there were 927 murders (apparently, it’s “gun murders bad, all other murders good” to the left), and 5.4 million crimes in total. In 2007. The Telegraph reported – from figures cited from Eurostat, the EU’s database of statistics – that from 1998 to 2007, “crime in the UK had increased from 652,957 offenses in 1998 to more than 1.15 million crimes in 2007. In other words, with over 2,000 crimes per 100,000 population, the UK – per the Telegraph – is the most violent place in Europe. Interestingly, Japan – which is also disarmed – has a massively lower homicide rate, according to the UN statistics cited at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate#cite_note-geneva-5. In fact, for Japan, with a population of around 130 million, total homicides were 506, while the UK, with 53 million people – less than half that of Japan – had 722 homiicides, per the most recent data. I.e., England has about three times the murder rate of Japan. Clearly, there are other factors at work – reducing violence to just firearms is grossly simplistic.

And one more truth for your consideration. Less than 48 hours after the Colorado theatre shooting, Mexican “coyote” (illegal alien smuggler) Ricardo Mendoza-Pineda lost control of his Ford F250 pickup on Hwy 59, just outside the town of Golidad, TX., and struck two trees, killing 15, and injuring eight. One of the dead was an eight year old girl. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/25/us/texas-death-toll-rises-in-crash-of-pickup-truck.html ; this tragedy killed more human beings than the Colorado theatre shooting, but was buried in the back pages, and I am sure you never heard of this incident. As WND.com asked: “Does a mass killing have to be in a hail of bullets nowadays to make the news. And illegal is illegal… and this happened during the commission of a crime, just like Colorado. Die by the gun, or die by the wheel, you’re still dead, and dead because of crime.” The reality is that gun control is on an agenda by the political left, which is why you never heard about this mass death.

    33. TEST says:

TIENANMEN SQUARE SURVIVOR – on gun control:

As Robert Steed, of Vernon, CT., noted in his state’s gun control hearings after Sandy Hook, the Constitution does not guarantee public safety – rather it guarantees liberty. Listen to Steed, himself, speak at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ledhyTAE2zo&feature=player_embedded#t=0s (6:43 min).
The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to ensure the public at large does not succumb to tyranny. And in fact, the public at large is the militia – the whole of the people – composed of citizen soldiers from the community, whose very reason d’etre is to defend the community, by carrying weapons comparable to what individual soldiers would have. And what part of “shall not be infringed” do the gun grabbers not get? How much more explicit does the Constitution need to be?

In fact, one Tienanmen Square survivor, who emigrated and moved to the US, had virtually the exact same words to say about guns, freedom and liberty as those “dead white guys,” the Founding Fathers. His six minute address is at at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miEmIfhfxuc&feature=player_embedded#t=0s, or, to summarize his salient points:

”The power of the government is derived from the consent of the governed.”

Chinese patriots in Tiananmen were crushed by “AK-47′s” because they could “not fight back” as they “were not armed.”

The argument “that a man with a rifle has no standing against the military technology and machine of today” is ridiculous. 20,000,000 residents of Beijing would have quickly proved that wrong had they been armed in 1989.

”When a government turns criminal, when a government turns deranged, the body count will not be 5, 10, or even 20. It will be in hundreds like Tiananmen Square, it will be in the millions…

”When a government has a monopoly on guns, it has absolute power.”

”When a government has all the guns, it has all the rights.”
”To me, a rifle is not for sporting or hunting. It is an instrument of freedom. It guarantees that I cannot be coerced, that I have free will, that I am a free man.”

Charleton Heston, “from my cold dead hands” vid, https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ORYVCML8xeE#t=2 1:25 min

And why are we losing the battle for the 2nd Amendment? Refer back to Heston: “Modern media fills the cultural airwaves with a mist of anesthesia, so that principles and values are slowly desensitized to the coming onslaught. The new culture arrives on the heels of this propaganda. It simply moves in and takes over, like slipping a fine new glove over a numbed hand. The outcome of the war is just as devastating, but without bombs bursting , twisted bodies to bury, or rubble to rebuild. A new class, a different culture, simply takes over.”

Our battle for the 2nd Amendment, however, is non-violent. We need to educate and inform, for the battle is won or lost relative to the success we have in what Heston notes above.

        @Test

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.

This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.” –

        Edward Bernays – Propaganda

    35. TEST says:

Mahatma Gandhi on gun control, from his own mouth: “Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest.”

Dalai Lama in the Seattle Times, May 15, 2001: “If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.”

I will intentionally omit mentioning that the Obama administration’s drone attacks has killed many, many more innocent children than the Sandy Hook shooter

As one law enforcement buddy of mine told me, “Can you trust the United States government…sure, just ask an American Indian.”

    36. Acid Etch says:

I love how DeBlasio Garner’s widow and Glenn Beck call for non-violent protest and calmness after the hysterical pigs used unnecessary violence the murder a man over cigarettes.

If violence is so bad, why do all governments want a monopoly over the use of it? You wage endless war and give billions of dollars worth of the worlds deadliest weapons to the most evil dictators every year, and insist that our guns need to be regulated. You murder torture and starve 270 million people in the 20th century, and you call us a gun culture?

No institutionalized injustice ever got solved without the use of violence.

Fuck MLK. Huey Newton was a real hero.

Violence is the only thing governments understand.

DONT BE A SAP. THE VIOLENCE IS SANCTIONED AND LOVED BY ALL GOVERNMENTS.

      • I don’t worry about the thugs. I’ve got my own protection for that. It wavers between a 380, a 9mm and a 357mag. The cops, however, are who I worry about. How do you handle them? If one decides to cross the line (as they VERY OFTEN DO) and you decide to put him down, the full force of the state will come down on top of you.

Qualified Immunity is a Death Sentect for Liberty.

…and for all you that keep (mistakenly) saying that Bloomjerk is for confiscating all the guns: HE IS NOT! He just wants your guns and my guns taken away. He doesn’t want his guns, the cops guns or the guns from other minions of the state taken away.

You see, frankly, hes not campaigning against guns, he’s campaigning against your right to keep your guns. Just YOUR RIGHTS, not anyone elses. Someone needs to expose these lying bastards! They don’t hate guns, they hate your right to keep them. They are trying to brainwash you into believing that the 2nd Amendment DOES NOT SAY WHAT IT SAYS: …the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The problem is this: the constitution guarantees your right to own and posess arms in any form and at any time. It is an unlimited right. Anyone who argues different doesn’t understand basic law, basic logic or basic language.

One statement: …the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

        Regulation? …infringement.
        Licensing? …infringement.
        Restrictions? …infringement.

I would also argue that propaganda and lies (both of which government and Bloomjerk are well skilled in crafting) are also infringement.

ANY REQUIREMENT BEYOND THE PROOF OF YOUR AGE OF CONCENT IS UNLAWFUL INFRINGEMENT.

The Gun Rights Violation Act of 1968: INFRINGEMENT.

*ANY* requirement on anything dealing with guns is an infringement, otherwise the “shall not be infringed” means nothing. Its black and white, absolutely no middle ground. None.

Any middle ground infringes. Any organization that attempts to gain middle ground is TRAITOROUS.

Am I extreme! You bet! I am extreme because that is the way The Law is written. If you are not extreme in your views about the second amendment, you are just plain wrong.

Just think: “Shall Not Be Infringed”

If they would see it run it like the interstate commerce clause, the would be illegal to tax you because it would take your property (money) from you and possibly curtail your ability to purchase arms.

Oh, and whats more, arms are all arms: weapons both defensive and offensive.

        Knives.
        Guns.
        Explosive Devices.
        Tanks.
        Missiles.
        Cannons.
        Grenades.

Now, if you ever talk to a cop he’ll tell you straight up, “The law is the law.”

If you ever hear that come out of cops mouth then ask him why the law is the law only when its convienient. The law is not the law. The Policy is The Policy. Do not confuse policy with law.

Just imagine if our crooked SOB cops, courts, legislators and leaders actually followed The Law and were prosecuted when they didn’t. Huh? Wow, it would be a completely different world.

But, they never will because the people of America are too dumbed down to read the law and believe their own eyes. Instead they listen to “learned men” (aka Snakeoil Salesmen like Bloomjerk) and they believe them. They believe them because if they didn’t they might have to miss a TV show or a ballgame.

LET IT ALL BURN! I’ve tried for 30 years to educated people on these things. They won’t listen. They don’t care. Bread and circuses. Its all in the annals of history how to sell out a population. Bread and circuses.

It appears to me to be comming to an end. Though people aren’t waking up to the things that are important, they’re just giving up. Our economy is moving into lethargy.

I’ve given up fighting it. Too many people would rather believe a pretty lie than the ugly truth.

Ah yes, “the law is the law.”

Uh huh. As MLK said “Never forget – EVERYTHING the Nazis did was “legal” too”

The truth is, the law necessarily MUST be predicated on something and either the STATE grants us our rights, or they come from God. That is what the whole battle is about.

Interestingly, the Supreme Court has a fresco of Moses giving the Law…. and you know that the Declaration of Independence specifically says our right derive explicitly from the Creator. If our rights come from man, man can revoke them. If from God, and He has inalienably granted our rights, they can never be revoked, as He has granted them as a condition of our very humanity. But our self-appointed betters, like Obungler and Hilary, of course, know more than God!

My question is: how many of you have killed another human being (man/women/child)?

Have you ever felt the emotional pain and then had to live with it???????

I am thinking most of you are armchair warriors! … which is why, really, our goal is one of education and information dissemination, and one of non-violence.

Antonio Gramsci, the disgusting, vile, communist, said 40 years ago to not take on the US militarily, but rather take over the media, the news, and the education system – which they have. We now need to non-violently take that triad back. And the internet, home schooling and just citing plain FACT will do a lot to non-violently gain back our freedoms – if we have the courage, gumption, and stick-to-it-ivness to press the battle. Wont’ happen overnight, but, e.g., look at the change in the attitude of the young towards the evil of abortion. If we are creative, intelligent and courageous enough, we will win back this country, and rest of the West.

      • I think there is a different feeling in killing in self defense and killing in war. None of use want to kill for any reason, but sometimes the actions of others make it necessary for our safety. I do not think I will have to much psychological damage from protecting me and my family from intended violence from a thug. I hope that the Lord will understand why I did not turn the other cheek. My life is a gift from Him and I plan to defend it if necessary.

Then he came for the JEWS.

And THEN he took millions of Christians who stood BY and DEFENDED their Jewish neighbors to the camps as well!

Let me be clear: IF they take away the means by which we protect ourselves and our loved ones, IF we legislatively PERMIT that, then an evil GREATER than Nazi Germany will descend upon our country and the entire planet.

It is the year 2014, is it not?

      Yet, we have FEMA camps.

Which no one is permitted to film or photograph.

      No tours are permitted.

      Just like Nazi Germany.

      How about that.

      Start connecting the dots here.

I don’t know about you, but I’m TIRED of:

      – the self-proclaimed, self-righteous do-gooders who know not one thing about the TRUE roots of violence of any kind;
      – the kind of men who fund toxic vaccines that give kids autism, send girls who took gardasil to their graves, and other vaccinations that literally kill those who take them given out for free abroad by people perceived as “humanists”;
      – the kind who dare paternalistically impose their arrogance and will on the Constitutionally protected;
      – the kind who when they don’t get their own way they sign thousands of Executive Orders the content of which is nearly pure evil;
      – the kind who got elected to public office but are too fearful to tell the Emperor he is naked;
      – and the kind would make us believe that because they are very wealthy men, they are to be adored for their feintly masked pompous “generous” behavior that paves the way for the one million Russian soldiers already on our soil to slaughter Americans who don’t take the chip and haul off others to be “exterminated” at FEMA camps.

Gentlemen and Gentlewomen who live in the darkness, there IS a God, a God who sees EVERYTHING, a God who knows the hearts of EVERY human on our planet, a God who will send each and every one of us to HELL for ETERNITY if each of us do not follow the TEN Commandments, one of which is Thou Shalt Not Kill!

But I misspeak, forgive me– we send OURSELVES to Hell, by how we choose to live (by destroying others) while we are in our human bodies. Evil is that which destroys, it is that which is in opposition to the lifeforce.

As Dr. Peck writes, “We see the velvet glove that masks the fist of fury”, and, “The truly evil do not reside in jail.”

We are now in Chapters 12-14 of the Book of Revelation. A world famine is coming. Our every move is tracked and recorded. They used HAARP to give us Hurricane Sandy and last year used HAARP to destroy half of California’s fruit and vegetable crop. They spray chem trails to poison us. 49. “It didn’t take long for some progressives to exploit the tragic shooting at a Washington State high school last Friday, as they used it in an attempt to gain support for a ballot initiative requiring expanded background checks on all gun transfers in the state.”

“Within hours of the Oct. 24 shooting that claimed the lives of two students at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, one of the billionaire backers of the Nov. 4 ballot initiative posted a link to the story on his Facebook page with the caption, “We need more school shootings!!! Vote yes on Initiative 591.” ”

“The posting by Nick Hanauer, a Seattle venture capitalist from a Democrat family, was excused as “sarcasm,” according to gun-rights advocates in Washington. I-591 would prohibit background checks and has the support of the National Rifle Association. Hanauer is one of the top financial donors to the organization pushing I-594, a competing ballot measure that would require background checks on almost all gun transfers, even short-term loans between friends and family members.”

      The Bronze Rat

A tourist walks into a curio shop in New York City. Looking around at the exotics, he notices a very lifelike, life-sized bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but it was so striking he decided he must have it.

He took it to the owner:

“How much for the bronze rat?”

“Twelve dollars for the rat, one hundred dollars for the story,” said the owner.

The tourist gave the man twelve dollars. “I’ll just take the rat, you can keep the story.”

As he walked down the street carrying his bronze rat, he noticed that a few real rats had crawled out of the alleys and sewers and began following him down the street. This was very disconcerting, and he began walking faster. But within a couple blocks, the herd of rats behind him had grown to hundreds, and they began squealing.

He began to trot toward the Hudson River, looking around to see that the rats now numbered in the MILLIONS — and they were squealing and coming toward him faster and faster. Concerned, even scared, he ran to the edge of the river, and threw the bronze rat as far out into the river as he could. Amazingly, the millions of rats all jumped into the Bay after it, and were all drowned.

The man walked back to the curio shop. “Ah ha,” said the owner, “you have come back for the story?”

“No,” said the man, “I came back to see if you have a bronze anti-gunner.”

Having lived my life half in Canada, and half in the US, my own personal experience is that – despite the common perception – Americans in MOST cases are more civil, which I attribute to gun ownership. I know if happens, but where I live in suburbia, I have NEVER had someone come down the street and curse at me out of random spite, throw something, whatever. That happened on MANY occasions in Canada where I lived, both west and east.

Just my own, anecdotal experience, but definitely something I noticed when we moved to the US… and it was MUCH worse in Canada. (And BTW, don’t give me that horsemanure about no gun violence in Canada. The always well-done Canada Free Press, as one example, has a list of shootings and violent crime just in Toronto, at http://www.canadafreepress.com/gun-shootings-toronto.htm And from the personal side, from having a very close friend having a neighbor murdered right outside her front door in a suburban area of Ottawa, to my brother in law telling me about a knife murder at a mall down the street, to the week we moved from Canada, when someone with an illegal gun committed murder on Elgin St. in Ottawa, the whole gun grabber thing is a disaster in Canada. The results of strict Canadian gun control laws?

On Jan. 13, 2011 the Ottawa Citizen, even acknowledged that Canadian gun legislation is an abject failure:
“As strict as Canadian gun laws appear, they do not prevent the movement of illegal firearms in or out of this country, nor their possession, and only cover those firearms that have been registered. Last year, Canadian police services reported some 8,000 victims of violent gun crime, ranging from assault to robbery and homicide — a rate of almost one person per hour victimized by violent gun crime. On average, more than 1,200 Canadians are killed and more than 1,000 injured with firearms each year.”

In fact, this statement was corroborated just over a year later, when two people were killed in Quebec in – yes, you guessed it – a Gatineau, Quebec school. See http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/person-dead-quebec-day-care-children-safe-18889191
And if you thought the Representative Giffords shooting in Arizona was bad (and it was!) in 2006 a Canadian gunman uploaded pictures of himself posing with a rifle. He bragged on his blog that he loved the Internet game based on the Columbine shootings. One day he decided to stop playing. He went to a Montreal college and, when all was said and done, he killed one person and seriously wounded another 19 before he shot himself. Less than 10 days after the Colorado theatre shootings, Toronto had a shooting that killed two and wounded 21 (http://www.torontosun.com/2012/07/17/one-dead-several-injured-in-scarborough-shooting); in turn, this had been preceded a month earlier by a Toronto mall shooting at the Eaton Centre, which killed one and injured seven (http://www.cnn.com/2012/06/02/world/americas/canada-mall-shooting/index.html). The stories in Canada go on, but I won’t.
Canada’s stringent gun laws, in the form of Bill C-68, apply to handguns and rifles. This has been universally acknowledged as an abject failure, including over $1 billion dollars lost on something that didn’t work. Here’s the details:

There are nearly 7 million registered long guns in Canada. Since 2003, when mandatory long gun registration was introduced, of the 2,441 homicides in Canada, less than 2% (47 to be exact) have been committed by those registered guns (figures cited from Canadian Centre of Justice Statistics). According to Statistics Canada, in 2008 there were around 23,500 victims of violent crime committed with a knife, with homicides and attempted murders about 1/3rd of such incidents (cited from Lawyers Weekly, 21 May, 2010). No word yet whether leftists will introduce a “long butterknife” or “dinner settings” bill – you know, you can never be too careful about those doggoned table settings, including possible strangulation by napkins!! It really is the fact that, as one wag wrote the Canadian Broadcasting Company, “Banning the legitimate ownership of handguns to prevent the illegitimate use of handguns is equivalent to the idea that banning sexual relations between a husband and wife will prevent rapes in dark alleys.”

PROZACKING OUR KIDS AND THE VIOLENCE CONNNECTION

As the Illinois State Rifle Asociation notes, the Sandy Hook CT. shooter, Adam Lanza, not only came from a divorced family, but was “apparently a mentally ill young person whose wealthy family insulated him from reality until he decided to create his own reality – at the expense of more than two dozen innocent people. Laurie Higgins in the Illinois Family Association concurred with this report, noting that Lanza’s father (as well as an older brother) left when Adam was 16, and remarried a few years later. Reportedly, Adam Lanza had no contact with his father or brother since 2010. How did this affect Adam, and why is this not part of the “national debate” on violence? Even more importantly, a few days after the shooting, it was reported that Adam Lanza was on a violence-linked anti-psychotic drug called Fanapt, as reported at http://www.businessinsider.com/adam-lanza-taking-antipsychotic-fanapt-2012-12 or http://naturalsociety.com/predictions-confirmed-shooter-adam-lanza-was-on-violence-linked-anti-psychotic-fanapt/. The Fanapt story was later retracted, but family friend of the Lanzas, Louise Tambascio, stated during an interview with 60 Minutes that “I know he was on medication and everything, but she homeschooled him at home cause he couldn’t deal with the school classes sometimes, so she just homeschooled Adam at home. And that was her life.” http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/12/16/friends-newtown-gunmans-mother-home-schooled-son-kept-arsenal-of-guns/ Tambascio also told ABC News, “I knew he was on medication, but that’s all I know.” http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/12/16/friends-newtown-gunmans-mother-home-schooled-son-kept-arsenal-of-guns/ Lanza’s old babysitter, Ryan Kraft, also went on record as stating Lanza was taking medications of this sort early as age 10. Maybe it’s time Obama had a national discussion about his cronies and lobbyists in Big Pharma, who seem to push kids into the latest drug du jour at the drop of a hat? Or doesn’t that fit his political agenda and his “never let a crisis go to waste” attitude? It is already on the labels themselves that drugs, like Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, and Ritalin are causing people to commit violent acts (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QheBbuC5UU&feature=player_embedded#t=91s where a number of reputable psychiatrists comment on this issue). Read the documentation in the drug packages, or online, yourself – it’s right there in black and white. The top ten psychiatric prescription drugs linked to violence – as listed by Time Magazine – in a Jan. 7th, 2011 article at http://healthland.time.com/2011/01/07/top-ten-legal-drugs-linked-to-violence/#ixzz2FNH7YyEl – are the antidepressant/anti-anxiety drugs desvenlafaxine (Pristiq), venlafaxine (Effexor), fluvoxamine (Luvox), paroxetine (Paxil), fluoxetine (Prozac), sleep aid Halcion, ADHD drug Strattera, several brands of amphetamines used to treat ADHD, the anti-malarial Lariam, and the anti-smoking medication Chantix. See also http://healthland.time.com/2011/01/07/top-ten-legal-drugs-linked-to-violence/#ixzz2G16Hp6aG. Of course James Holmes in the Colorado massacre was also on psychotropic drugs, including a generic version of Zoloft called Sertraline, as well as clonazepam see http://www.naturalnews.com/039796_James_Holmes_psychiatric_drugs_antidepressants.html or http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-james-holmes-documents-20130405,0,6067279.story.) Yet a further analysis of the association of prescription drugs with violence and shootings, from Brandon Turbeville, is at http://www.thedailysheeple.com/psychiatric-drugs-school-violence-and-the-big-pharma-cover-up_012013, while internationally known psychiatrist Dr. David Healy agrees with the summary that these drugs cause violence – a Cliff Notes version of Healy’s sentiments is simply this: Psychotropic drugs “prescribed for school children cause violent behavior.” The non-Cliff Notes, detailed version of his rationale behind this may be found at http://www.wnd.com/2013/01/top-psychiatrist-meds-behind-school-massacres/ Healy has a website, RxISK.org, that allows people to post personal experiences with SSRIs, and is a data repository open to the public.

If anyone is wondering why the US leads in school gun murders, perhaps you might want to explore the relationship between drugging our kids and violence. Note that not only are school gun murders up, but youth suicides are up dramatically was well. This shouldn’t be surprising, of course, as both are cut from the same cloth – disinhibition, messing with brain function, disturbing the level of self-control, and more. Granting that correlation is not causation, Dr. Bertram Karon from Michigan State Univ. notes the US has six times as many children on Ritalin, around four million, as any other country, and all of France only has 8,000 kids, in total, on Ritalin, while his home city of Lansing Michigan, alone, has around that many. In fact, the US accounts for around 90% of Ritalin prescriptions in the world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujuDvwSOFto&sns=fb

We must fully consider the question of Todd Walker in his article, found at http://www.thedailysheeple.com/how-many-pills-until-pharmageddon_012013: “Can prescription drugs cause you to kill someone?” And the answer is “Absolutely”, per Dr. David Healy, author of Phamageddon.and quoted in the paragraph above. “Violence and other potentially criminal behavior caused by prescription drugs are medicine’s best kept secret…Want to find out if the drugs you or a loved one are taking might cause violent behavior? Enter the name of the drug over at the Violence Zone. Even if it’s ‘just a pill’ to help you quit smoking, side effects can be deadly. Don’t expect to hear about this on major media outlets. Pharmaceutical companies have a vested interest in keeping journalists in line.”
David Kupelian at WND also documents a horrifying number of shootings associated with psychotropic drugs at http://www.wnd.com/2013/01/the-giant-gaping-hole-in-sandy-hook-reporting/, including not only Columbine killer Eric Harris, who was on Luvox, but also: Patrick Purdy, who killed five children and wounded 30 in 1989, who was on amitriptyline and Thorazine, Kip Kinkle, who killed his parents, and 22 other fellow students, who was on Prozac and Ritalin; the 1988 Winnetka, IL. shooting by Laurie Dann, who killed one and wounded six while taking Anafranil and lithium; the 1997 Paducah KY school shooting by Michael Carneal, who shot and killed three while on Ritalin; the 2005 Jeff Wiese shooting, which killed nine and wounded 5 on the Red Lake Indian Reservation, which occurred while Wiese was on Prozac; the 1989 shooting of 20 co-workers, killing nine, by Joseph Wesbecker in Louisville, KY, while he was on Prozac – and which Eli Lilly settled a lawsuit by survivors; a 1996 shooting of his father by Kurt Danysh while on Prozac; or the horrible case of a mother one town over from where I currently live, Naperville, IL., who killed all five of her children while on antidepressant Effexor. The case of the Virginia Tech murder of 32 people by Cho Seung-Hui may also have been prescription drug related, too, as Kupelian discusses in this article. As if further evidence were needed, the Luvox label itself states that 4% of children in one study went manic – out of control behavior.

To what degree is the “prozac-ing” and “ritalin-ing” of our young contributing to these shootings? As noted above, these prescriptions state on their warning labels that violent behavior is one possible outcome of taking their drugs. Yet, there is nary a peep from the media. Why? Jason Charles the Truth Alliance notes “At least fourteen recent school shootings were committed by those taking or withdrawing from psychiatric drugs. There have been 109 wounded and 58 killed. Of these 14, seven were seeing either a psychiatrist (five of them) or psychologist (two of them). It is not known whether or not the other half were seeing a psychiatrist, as it has not been published.” Details of this issue are at CCHR, http://www.cchrint.org/school-shooters/ )
Not to push the issue, but, as Obama has said, we must ensure a school shooting like Sandy Hook never happens again, so let’s examine some other links on gun and non-gun related violence related to psychotropic prescription drugs like Zoloft, Prozac, and the like. The list is not pretty:
Per http://www.blacklistednews.com/Mental_illness%2C_medications_and_school_shootings%3A_Preventing_another_Sandy_Hook/23220/0/38/38/Y/M.html, “There have been 31 school shootings since Columbine, in which Eric Harris, age 17 and Dylan Klebold, age 18, killed 12 students and one teacher, and wounded 23 others. (An assault weapon ban (1994-2004) was in effect at the time – lot of good that did). Harris was known to be taking Zoloft, then Luvox. Klebold’s medical records have never been made available to the public.

A website called SSRI Stories (http://www.ssristories.com/index.html )has compiled a sortable database that lists over 4800 incidents of suicide, violent crimes and other incidents between 1988 and 2011, including school shootings that involve people that were prescribed SSRI medications. Here is one more short list of a few more school shootings (see http://www.ssristories.com/index.php?sort=date&p=school for more details) that involved SSRIs:
      • Steve Kazmierczak, age 27, inexplicably went on a shooting rampage on Feb. 15, 2008 in a Northern Illinois University Lecture Hall before taking his own life. He had been on Prozac, Xanax and Ambien, but had stopped taking Prozac a few weeks before the shootings. Toxicology reports showed traces of Xanax in his system. Five dead, 20 wounded.
      • Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather’s girlfriend and many fellow students in Red Lake, Minnesota on March 24, 2005. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.
      • Cho-Seung-Hui, age 23, showed signs of anger before he went on a shooting rampage on the Virginia Tech campus that ended only after a police officer shot him dead. Officials said prescription medications related to the treatment of psychological problems had been found among Mr. Cho’s effects, but no details of his treatment or the medications have been released to the public. 33 dead, 17 wounded.
      • Michael Carneal (Ritalin), age 14, opened fire on students at a high school prayer meeting in West Paducah, Kentucky on Dec, 1, 1997. Three teenagers were killed, five others were wounded.
Not mentioned in this article is Jared Loughner, whose aberrant psychological state has been amply chronicled, including one email by fellow student Lynda Sorensen, who emailed her friends “We have a mentally unstable person in the class that scares the living cr** out of me. He is one of those whose picture you see on the news, after he has come into class with an automatic weapon. Everyone interviewed would say, Yeah, he was in my math class and he was really weird.” Loughner was just a “regular’ drug user, of course.

Of course, violence involving SSRIs does not always involve firearms:
      • Jeff Franklin (Prozac and Ritalin), Huntsville, AL, killed his parents as they came home from work using a sledge hammer, hatchet, butcher knife and mechanic’s file, then attacked his younger brothers and sister.

      • Jarred Viktor, age 15, (Paxil). After five days on Paxil he stabbed his grandmother 61 times.

      • John Odgren, age 16, stabbed a 15-year-old student to death at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in MA on Jan. 19, 2007. Odgren was being treated for Asperger’s syndrome, a form of autism, as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression and anxiety. The defense said changes in Odgren’s clothing habits, as well as changes in his sleep and speech pattern, may have indicated a problem with his medication that could have lead to a manic, paranoid state.
The list of incidents like the above on SSRI stories is seemingly endless and all of the circumstances are different except for one – all of them involve a mentally ill patient on some sort of SSRI medication. Some have claimed that up to 90 percent of school shootings have involved a shooter on prescription medications (http://www.wnd.com/2012/12/psych-meds-linked-to-90-of-school-shootings/ ) While that is impossible to verify without the release of medical records in all cases, enough have been confirmed to establish a link between SSRIs and violence, especially when the black box warnings on the medications mention the potential.”
Maybe we need to ban SSRI’s to stop the slaughter? Martha Rosenburg at http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/health/prescription-drugs-are-often-behind-mass-shootings-327408.html also cites a number of cases that would certainly support this, as does Jeanne Lenzer in the BMJ June 7, 2012 (BMJ 2012:344:e3989), which refers to a report by the Institute for Safe Medication Practices stating: “It calculated that in 2011 prescription drugs were associated with two to four million people in the US experiencing ‘serious, disabling, or fatal injuries, including 128,000 deaths.’” Have we really come full circle to the point where we now accept again Stalin’s dictum that “a single death is a tragedy, but a million is just a statistic?” That we are comparing the death of 20 innocents to 128,000 – many of whom are children –only makes Stalin’s statement slightly less apt.
An exceedingly important article by Lawrence Hunter in Forbes, entitled Psychiatric Drugs, Not a Lack of Gun Control, Are the Common Denominator in Murderous Violence, is found at http://www.forbes.com/sites/lawrencehunter/2013/01/14/psychiatric-drugs-not-a-lack-of-gun-control-are-the-common-denominator-in-murderous-violence/ In this article, Lawrence discusses a large body of evidence from peer reviewed publications, such American Journal of Psychiatry, The Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and The Journal of Forensic Science, discussing this very issue. Lawrence also cites the article School Shooters Under the Influence of Psychiatric Drugs, found at http://www.cchrint.org/school-shooters, , which found that between “2004 and 2011, there were 12,755 reports to the U.S. FDA’s MedWatch system of psychiatric drugs causing violent side effects including: 1,231 cases of homicidal ideation/homicide, 2,795 cases of mania and 7,250 cases of aggression. Since the FDA admits that only one to ten percent of all side effects are ever reported to it, the actual occurrence of violent side effects from psychiatric drugs is certainly nine or ten times higher than the official data suggest.”

An eight minute video on the subject is here for those who prefer a YouTube presentation on the topic http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=1XHNJyti1gE . As psychiatrist Peter Breggin observes in the video: “One of the things in the past that we’ve known about depression is that it very, very rarely leads to violence. It’s only been since the advent of these new SSRI drugs that we’ve had murder

The question is this: Instead of Piers Morgan, Obama and Joe Biden taking the NRA to task, as Lawrence points out, why hasn’t the White House asked the heads of the pharmaceutical companies to the White House to discuss the issue? After all, aren’t the kids worth it?

Can’t get gun control thru the legislature, but they can fool enough SEIU registered illegal alien voters to do it.

Now, in Kalifornia, several conservative ballot initiatives have passed but been overturned by “liberal” courts as “unConstitutional”. Wonder whether that will happen in WA or NV?

They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be “cured” against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”

Bloomberg’s Cigarette Tax got Eric Garner Killed.

You would not be lying either.

    61. Mr. Winky says:

“I KNOW WHAT I AM, WHAT ARE YOU?”

      Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs

“Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident.” This is true. Remember, the murder rate is six per 100,000 per year, and the aggravated assault rate is four per 1,000 per year. What this means is that the vast majority of Americans are not inclined to hurt one another.

Some estimates say that two million Americans are victims of violent crimes every year, a tragic, staggering number, perhaps an all-time record rate of violent crime. But there are almost 300 million Americans, which means that the odds of being a victim of violent crime is considerably less than one in a hundred on any given year. Furthermore, since many violent crimes are committed by repeat offenders, the actual number of violent citizens is considerably less than two million.

Thus there is a paradox, and we must grasp both ends of the situation: We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. This is because most citizens are kind, decent people who are not capable of hurting each other, except by accident or under extreme provocation. They are sheep.

I mean nothing negative by calling them sheep. To me it is like the pretty, blue robin’s egg. Inside it is soft and gooey but someday it will grow into something wonderful. But the egg cannot survive without its hard blue shell. Police officers, soldiers and other warriors are like that shell, and someday the civilization they protect will grow into something wonderful. For now, though, they need warriors to protect them from the predators.

“Then there are the wolves,” the old war veteran said, “and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy.” Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.

“Then there are sheepdogs,” he went on, “and I’m a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf.” Or, as a sign in one California law enforcement agency put it, “We intimidate those who intimidate others.”

If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen: a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath–a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? Then you are a sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero’s path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.

“Honor never grows old, and honor rejoices the heart of age. It does so because honor is, finally, about defending those noble and worthy things that deserve defending, even if it comes at a high cost. In our time, that may mean social disapproval, public scorn, hardship, persecution, or as always, even death itself. The question remains: What is worth defending? What is worth dying for? What is worth living for?”

      — William J. Bennett, in a lecture to the United States Naval Academy, November 24, 1997

    62. Have y’all ever noticed that every time there is a discussion on guns the antis start trolling, pretending to be neo-Nazis, to make gun owners look like the KKK? The American people are now the best and most heavily armed in the history of the world. The gun owners in The US now outnumber every policeman and soldier on earth COMBINED.WE ARE WINNING. New York, Washington state, California, Mass. ALREADY had the most restrictive anti-gun laws in the nation. Bloombug and his money had nothing to do with that.

19 Signs That You Live In A Country That Has Gone Completely Insane
By Michael Snyder, on December 4th, 2014

Do you ever feel like you are living in a “Bizarro World”? That is how I feel much of the time. I look around and it seems as though some form of mass psychosis has descended on most of the population. Things that would have had Americans angrily marching in the streets a generation or two ago are now just accepted as “normal” by the “sheeple” that populate this nation. If the talking heads that endlessly spew nonsense at us through our televisions tell us to believe something, no matter how absurd it is, most people just go along with it. Before we had televisions and radios and computers and movies and the Internet, people actually had to do the hard work of thinking for themselves. But now we are all plugged into this giant “matrix” that tells us what to think, what to believe and how to feel about things. And unfortunately, the people that are telling us what to think and believe are delusional themselves. The blind are leading the blind, and as a result our nation is coming apart at the seams all around us. The following are 19 signs that you live in a country that has gone completely insane…
#1 When those occupying the highest offices in the land tell you that an $18,000,000,000,000 debt is “under control“, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#2 When your president starts acting like an emperor and begins ruling by decree and your elected representatives won’t lift a finger to do anything to stop it, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#3 When the greatest dream in life for millions of your fellow citizens is to win the Powerball jackpot, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#4 When dressing up sex dolls in fashionable clothing and photographing them is considered to be art, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#5 When only 36 percent of the population can name all three branches of government, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#6 When a boy can sue his high school for not letting him use the girls’ restrooms and win $75,000 in “damages”, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#7 When people that want to have sex with their own family members start demanding “equal rights”, you live in a country that has gone completely insane…

#8 When pregnancy is considered to be a “disease” and babies are considered to be “liabilities”, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#9 When the federal government collects billions of our phone calls and emails and hardly anyone gets upset about it, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#10 When 30 million of your fellow citizens are taking antidepressants, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#11 When an endless stream of gang members, drug dealers, sexual predators, welfare parasites and Middle Eastern terrorists can enter the country illegally and nothing is done, but anyone who criticizes this is in danger of being put on an “enemies list“, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#12 When you can get arrested for “encouraging terrorism on Twitter“, but not for publicly burning the American flag in the middle of the street, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#13 When your military airdrops huge loads of weapons into the hands of the very terrorists that they are supposed to be fighting, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#14 When there are 2.5 million homeless children living in your nation and nobody is calling it a “national emergency”, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#15 When a fifth-grade student can get suspended from school for making an imaginary gun with his fingers, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#16 When Congress has to pass a law to keep federal workers from watching porn all day long, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#17 When the number of payday lenders is greater than the number of Starbucks locations, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#18 When an illegal immigrant can get a drivers’ license, but the head of a fire department of a major U.S. city is suspended from his job without pay for promoting sexual morality, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.
#19 When the general public knows far more about Kim Kardashian than it does about the Federal Reserve, you live in a country that has gone completely insane.

      Curing the problem.

We are reacting to a three part problem that many think is insolvable.

      1. There are those at the top who wish to control.

      2. Then those in the enforcement of decree’s, edits and unjust laws.

      3. Finally there is us were we can either join them, passively submit or rebel.

Each part will require a major correction in itself to rebalance life in this country. Which one to first act upon is the hard part.

Since this is SHTFPlan, I’ll mention another angle. When/if TEOTWAWKI comes around, then surely the marauding gangs will now know what states and cities are prime pickings. Is the Viking, the Gang, and the Occupying Enemy much different? As those people disarm themselves, they become future slaves to the rest of the people who are armed. That’s how history paints this.
A mental riddle is there were two states. One was hostile and militant, one was peaceful and had no army. What happened?

These New Yorkers live in a different world. They don’t have a clue about how this country really works. This guy made his billions selling business news. Fine. And now he’s trying to throw his money around to swing opinion, and political decision-making, his way.

      Go for it.

Dave Brat (Bratt?) is my only response to how well his gun control plans are likely to succeed. For those of you who are a little slow on the uptake, that translates to mean that he’s throwing his millions down a rat hole. When push comes to shove, this country will never, ever allow itself to be disarmed. Dave Brat’s (Bratt’s?) election displayed the power and brass tacks of the American electorate in all its glory, and the message was: you politicians can push your nonsense only so far and then we the people say enough.

New Yorkers, because they live in a different world than the majority of the country, learn slower about things like this.

So if he wants to spread his money around to irrelevant, for-sale local politicians and activists, it’s a free country and he’s free to do so til the cows come home. But what many of you seem to fear happening ain’t never gonna happen.

Now get back to work. Real work. The kind this guy doesn’t know.

Can someone tell me Mac’s policy replacing the thumbs

      • Yeah, our thumbing system got compromised so we removed it because it had gotten out of control. Looking at a new system now and will hopefully have something online soon.

Apologies for the inconvenience — it was really cool to have the thumbing options, but apparently some people didn’t like it so they figured a way to inject our database with fake thumbs directly and made it nearly impossible to manage. We’re working on it though! Some great suggestions have come in and we will be implementing at least some of them in short order.

        Thanks,

        Mac

And why comments are taking 3-4 hours to post??

      • We usually don’t have a moderator come on until about 8AM Central Time, so from around midnight to 8AM your comment may sit in the queue until someone can get into the system.

One ‘work-around’ is to utilize an email address when posting (even a fake one if you wish). The system is automated, so after our moderators approve a few of the comments the system will “recognize” you and should start auto-approving pretty much everything unless there is a link embedded (auto-defaults to the moderation queue so that we can prevent crazy spam linking within the comment section).

Thanks for your patience — We hope to improve this process soon and have coverage for about 18 – 20 hours per day.

        Mac

I used to post an email addy every time, and it was still held in Que for hours. So why post an email address if it doesn’t make any difference. I also would post a lot of links for the Info source for further reading. Hard to have a debate when it takes hours for anything to post. And then by the time is posts, then a new article is out.

        • so who moderates the moderators? this is an excellent site sir but seems to be only to diffuse peoples emotions etc like to just vent get it off their chest? so I say something then its off my chest then I do nothing else with it. why don’t we really peel that onion back and get to the real issue ?their are great commentators here ,but it seems the perceptions are managed by the moderators sir and so no ,the underlying issue is never addressed! You will disallow this comment because omg a goye is thinking ! look forward to any discussion , many things I am ignorant of but I m tired of a so called chosen people dictating the friggen conversation ! have a good day

Oh Al: I feel your pain, and have been deleted here a few times, but that comes with a website owned by an individual.

The quality of the posting on the site would skyrocket were the posters to write under their own names.

The useless anonymity of most on-line forums inevitably and can only result in far more idealogical garbage than pragmatic useful discussion.

No matter your religion nor how much sense you make, you cannot outshout a band of chimpanzees. It is hard to scan this site and find the good opinions and rational arguments.

Our country would be so much better off if people would say what they think without anonymity.

Police brutality that in many cases results in unlawful if only deemed unethical homicide is reaching a critical mass in motivating elements within the body politic as any effective checks and balances constraining such actions have been either ineffective or non existent. The weapon of the masses are the various extremely common personal event recording devices such as cell phones. The truth cannot be suppressed as technology via the internet is circumventing the controlled media. This issue is being framed in a black v white context when in reality its a poor / middle class v wealthy issue. I theorize that if one cross referenced wealthy zip codes and the residents within them to cases of police brutality one would see a glaring disparity if not zero incidence within these exclusive communities. To say that illegal drug use and driving while intoxicated is not occurring within these neighborhoods is not naive but rather disingenuous. The wealthy misbehave plenty.

Token change for public consumption will be offered, substantive change will take considerably longer.

Civilian review boards of law enforcement is an absolute necessity.

HEAD FAKE? OBAMA NEVER SIGNED AMNESTY ORDER

National Archives official confirms shocker – no such filing exists

12/4/14 – “Today the National Archives and Records Administration, responsible for such maintaining such filings, said no such executive order was ever signed or filed.”

“The only two documents that I have located are two Presidential Memoranda, which are available from the White House site,” Hartley’s email continued. “They can also be found in the November 26, 2014 issue of the Federal Register.”

The two documents Hartley referenced were the two executive orders Obama signed in Las Vegas Nov. 21.
One was a presidential proclamation creating a White House Task Force on New Americans and the other a presidential memorandum instructing the secretaries of State and Homeland Security to consult with various governmental and non-governmental entities to reduce costs and improve service in issuing immigrant and non-immigrant visas.

“It confirms WND’s report that the only Obama administration document relevant to the plan Obama announced Nov. 20 is a DHS memorandum signed by Johnson titled “Exercising Prosecutorial Discretion with Respect to Individuals Who Came to the United States as Children with Respect to Certain Individuals Who Are the Parents of U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.”

Abbott’s complaint further indicated the only basis for the DHS memo directing the change in the operation of the Deferred Action for Child Arrivals program was not a presidential executive order but a legal opinion written by the principal deputy assistant attorney general in the Office of Legal Counsel, Karl R. Thompson, to advise Johnson and White House counsel.

The principal argument in Abbott’s complaint is that the DHS directive violates the president’s constitutional duty to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,” as set forth by the U.S. Constitution in Article II, Section 3, Clause 5.”

“Tom Fitton, president of Washington-based watchdog Judicial Watch, said the legal status of Johnson’s memo is a serious constitutional question that deserves to be adjudicated.

He said Obama’s “entire implementing authority” regarding the immigration action is Johnson’s memo, “which changes the immigration law, directing federal money to be spent that has not been appropriated by Congress.”

“In my view, there is a serious question whether Jeh Johnson should be impeached for taking this action, and a criminal investigation should be initiated to determine how and why federal funds are being misappropriated,” he declared.

If keeping and bearing arms is for the security of a free state, it behooves the people who do keep and bear arms to be ready to repel the invasion of their homes. It would be nice for like-minded neighbors to come to the aid of one being invaded, as a rear-assault on one’s invaders, but, don’t count on it. You’ll have to assume to go it alone. We have a Fourth Amendment right to be secure from search in the absence of probable cause of criminal conduct, and buying a firearm is not criminal conduct.
We have a Fifth Amendment right to be secure from being deprived of any right without due process of law, and compelling an interrogation under threat of criminal prosecution (Form 4473) is not “due process.”
We have a Tenth Amendment right to be secure from enforcement of any federal law the subject matter authority for which is not delegated to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution.
We have a Tenth Amendment right to be secure from enforcement of any State law — even if demanded by the voters — which requires a State Power prohibited to the States by the U.S. Constitution, and the Second Amendment prohibits the power over our right to keep and bear arms as well as our right to privacy in the exercise of our rights (4th Amend.) and due process (5th Amend.)
