Did you know that taking pictures of Department of Homeland Security vehicles and posting them on the internet could land you on a terrorist watch list, or even in prison?
Navy Veteran Mark Paffrath, who recently took pictures of DHS vehicles parked in full public view at the Drury Plaza Hotel in Missouri has been terminated from his job, threatened with imprisonment and branded a terrorist.
Paffrath was on his way to work when he saw the vehicles and decided to snap some photos and a video. Within minutes of uploading the pictures to his Facebook page he was called in by his supervisor who asked that he remove the pictures. But the next day, after Paffrath had already complied with the request by his employer to take down the highly controversial pictures which had already gone viral, he was met by Drury Hotels head of security Jim Bohnert, who promptly terminated his employment.
One of the reasons given was that Paffrath reportedly almost cost the hotel a $150,000 contract with the government.
As if that wasn’t enough, Paffrath also claimed Bohnert told him, ”[Y]ou’re a terrorist and you have dishonorably served your country by posting the photos and video.”
When Paffrath told Bohnert he never put the location of the vehicles on the photos or the video, Bohnert reportedly said “all they have to do is click on your name and see where you work.” Paffrath said Bohnert concluded their conversation by saying “if you repost the photos and video you will have the Federal government knocking on your door and you will be incarcerated.”

The Department of Homeland Security has not commented on the incident and refused to provide details on whether the vehicles were being massed at the hotel in anticipation of the Grandy Jury decision over the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO earlier this year. The Drury Plaza Hotel is located approximately 30 minutes from Ferguson. According to local police and the FBI, riots and civil unrest could break out in the St. Louis area following the decision set to be released this week.

Let’s be clear about what happened here.
Mark Paffrath was driving to work and entered the parking garage, presumably at his workplace. Whether the parking garage was available to the public is unknown, but it appears hotel employees and guests have access to it without the need for any sort of security clearance.
The Drury Hotel provided no guidelines to employees about the purported secret nature of the DHS meeting. As evidence of this, the day after Paffrath took the pictures the hotel shoddily put together a white board of do’s and don’ts for their employees. Among other things, hotel management asks employees not to “brag to your family” about the Department of Homeland Security group after they check out of the hotel:
All accounts suggest that no confidentiaility or secrecy agreements were signed by employees of the hotel as it relates to speaking with people not associated with the hotel about what they see during their regular work day.
The DHS vehicles were parked in full view of employees and other guests.

Mark Paffrath snapped several photos and a video, uploaded them to his Facebook page and was terminated from his job for doing so, even after he complied with a request to remove the offending images.
Moreover, the hotel’s security director branded him a terrorist, something he more than likely did not come up with on his own because who in their right mind would brand someone a terrorist for taking pictures of an SUV, even if it did belong to Homeland Security?
Thus, DHS obviously put pressure on the hotel chain and given the history of their behavior, which includes flagging millions of innocent Americans on terrorist watchlists even if no evidence exists, the first domino in this sequence is more than likely a misguided government official with nothing better to do than target Americans who are simply going about their business.
Mark Paffrath did nothing wrong and his documentation of DHS vehicles through the utilization of a mobile recording device is protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution of The United States of America and has been upheld by the Supreme Court.
But rather than following the letter of the law, we are seeing yet another example of a government that has overstepped its bounds and another large mega-corporation who happily does its bidding.
As we’ve made clear previously, the Patriot Act passed after September 11th under the pretext of stopping terrorism has now been turned on the free people of The United States. The definitions for terrorism are now so broad that a child playing with a bubble gum maker that looks like a gun, a person selling his own brand of silver coins, or a man snapping a picture of a government vehicle are now all on par with ISIS and Al Queda terrorists.
To hell with DHS, Obama and the rest of his evil minions.

Per CNN said Ferguson Grand Jury Decision will come Friday and then be Announced on Sunday, said the 48 hour delay will be needed to let Law Enforcement to get into place. Said they worry that decision will be leaked before Sunday.

grand jury does not make a guilty or not guilty decision.
Bob: You win this weeks legal prize. Grand Juries don’t find on guilt as you stated. If the supermajority (2/3 or 3/4) believes there’s enough evidence then they issue a ‘True Bill’ where the prosecutor then indicts the defendant. If there is no ‘True Bill’ the prosecutor usually drops any further action. It’s an uphill battle without it.
Funny how people forget that.
If the grand jury does not vote “true bill”, the prosecutor CANNOT bring the case to trial. They don’t get to decide. I’ll bet a ton of dollars that the district attorney himself, perhaps even with a justice department type, were the ones presenting this particular case before the grand jury. By the behavior of the DA the Grand Jury knows what decision that he wants. The DA (a lawyer, aka, of moral flexibility) will influence, as much as necessary, the decision that he/she wants (yes, this is against the rules, but realville has its own set of rules on how things work.)
The grand jury is the citizens best way to stop judicial over reach. If you EVER get the chance to serve on one. Don’t be an ass and duck it, do everything that you can to get on it, morally of course. I ended up on it quite by accident (clerk didn’t send out GJ notices, only normal jury, aka petit jury, notices. Judge came in and drew 18-20 names and said : you are on grand jury duty now. Two folks pathetically linked out of it, the rest, did their duty over the next three months. Eye opening doesn’t begin to describe the experience. Jury was 1/4 black, rest white, good mix of young and old, but tended to older. Certain things, the blacks voted in lockstep, even when the perp was guilty without a doubt. Lots of petty drug nonsense was kicked by the group as it was so minor, I’m not sure why the cases were brought. I think threatening to take something to the GJ is a way to entice folks to plead on stupid, misdemeanor 1st time drug possession nonsense. One guy was in there for a bag of Shake that the dog alerted on. Yes, we kicked that one to the curb. Citizens, we have to take care of each other, serving on GJ is your single BEST way to watch out for the citizens.

Right to work states are states that do not let unions force membership into the union by individuals who do not wish to participate…and only applies to unions and their membership. Most normal employment(non-union) is ‘At-Will’ which means that you can be terminated by your employer for any reason(of course except for those protected by Federal law, race, creed, sex….etc)….or you can leave for any reason. Works both ways. As a business owner – you should not have to ‘prove’ anything if you wish to fire someone. I wouldn’t want it any other way. That doesn’t mean that this manager isn’t a grubby slug, because he is, but he can fire an employee at will….

I am no lover of DHS or our government overreach but I went to Marks Facebook and did some research. First he was an employee for the hotel where these rigs were parked. Just because there are some DHS, FBI, US Military… or whatever vehicles parked somewhere does not mean there is “something going on”. As an employee he was bound by their rules and one of them was privacy of the guests (whoever they may be). This is in the employee handbook (which I looked up). So he broke his companies rules. There was a number of ways he could have got these pics to the public if he wanted to: third party, send them to the multiple alternative news sites who would have been happy to post them including here on Macs site, Secondary Facebook account (what…!… you don’t have one of these and claim you know OPSEC… WOW..), and use a used computer you bought on craigslist and use a Secondary (fake) g mail and face book account and do it at a coffee house with tier Wi Fi. He also stated that as a veteran he is being oppressed. I am a retired Vet and I don’t like people throwing the “ Vet card” when they violate their companies policies. If you don’t like the polices then find a new job. I did and it worked out well. He also stated he received specific medals. Turns out he did not receive all of the medals he claimed he did which now calls his reputation into question. Now he has a “go fund me” account for $10,000 to help with his living expenses and “legal fees” of which he has no legal fees. If he wants to sue the Hotel chain most lawyers on a wrongful discharge suit that actually has merit will work on a contingent percentage if they win. No money up front required. I have no problem with people exercising their first amendment rights and ferreting out things going on and letting us know but you have to use your head. You also have to be truthful in all things and have integrity.

Yes, some were there for Mikey. You have to remember, in the heat of the moment with emotions high…..right doesn’t matter. So whether they (friends and family) were right in that Mikey was innocent or not is irrelevant to them. There were also some, I imagine, that were there on behalf of Mikey and the community….right or wrong doesn’t matter to them either. I am sure there are those who truly believe Mike was completely innocent. I don’t know, nor does anyone else nor will anyone else in the future know exactly what happened except the pig, the friend and the dead guy. I do believe full heartedly that the pig screwed up in judgment and could have done many other things to avoid or de-escalate the situation.
No, in that the lack of critical thinking, judgment, morals, common sense, intellect, sense of family and certainly God are absent in those highly populated black communities, there will be a majority of those out to just “have fun” and create destruction and violence.

Mom and Dad not being in a contract with the state through an unconstitutional license to marry is totally irrelevant. If I could go back in time, I would have never gotten a marriage license from the state and allowed the state to enter into a contract between God, my wife and myself, making them also involved by true law in every aspect of anything that union produces…..children. It was at Ingles this past week. Today started the new sale. They had it on sale last week for $1.98 each… but, if you buy 5 at a time they kick in another $3.00 off. (Smuckers deal) hell ya I love a deal 🙂
This week they have the McCormick spices deal going on. I stopped after work and the Cream of Tartar is on sale for $3.59 a bottle, if ya buy 3, they will kick in another $3.00 off. That makes it $2.59 a bottle. If y’all have been paying attention, it’s almost $6.00 a bottle, even at Wally world. 🙁
Y’all remember… if ya want to make baking powder later, ya need to stock up on the cream of tartar. While baking powder will lose it’s ability as a leavening agent as it get’s older (something about the tartar acting with the corn starch and baking soda.) If the ingredients are kept seperate… they last a long time. (we store them in mylar with O2 packs)
Vicki Tate, in her “Cookin’ with home storage” book say’s to mix 1 lb. of cream of tartar to 1/2 lb. baking soda and 1/4 lb. of corn starch. (we cut each to 1/2 that) 🙂

I always get the newest on the shelve they have. That way when we pack it in mylar with the O2 packs we figure that gives us another 2 years or so past the best by date. 🙂 Most of the dates were for Sep. 2016.

I’ve done some un-scientific experiments. I kept a case of black beans in my attic that “expired” in 2011, and I just ate a can the other day. They are just fine.
Also bought some MREs ten years ago and never opened the box they were shipped in until now. They taste fine right out of the package.
They build in a significant “safety factor” for foods like those, just like they do for rope and cable and organic vapor cartridges and other stuff.
i got married to the wife i just got rid of 4 and a half years ago….a year before i married her i bought baked beans for the 28oz can 69cents….i just had a party for local preppers, and fed them those beans with a little kraft BBQ sauce added for flavor, and i had several compliments how good they were….at LEAST 5 and a half years old

Sooo, the most obvious first question for our brave veteran is; why the FUCK didn’t you get right right back in mr. security goons face and a)educate him on the 1st amendment and its meaning and b) repost said pictures immediately and tell DHS, FUCK YOU AND THE HORSE YOU RODE IN ON. To put this story in context, consider the following:
1. The First Amendment is inapplicable to this story as it relates to this man’s employer (Drury Plaza Hotel), because the First Amendment deals with government restrictions on free-speech, NOT against private-sector employers. When you are on your employer’s property and payroll, their rules, restrictions, code of conduct, policies are what you’re bound to and can be punished for violating.
2. There is no grounds for an unlawful termination lawsuit because MO is an at-will employment state and there is not a cognizable Public Policy Exemption relating to the activity for which he was terminated.
3. DHS will not pursue further actions against Mr. Paffrath because, as a governmental agency, to do so, barring a claim of a criminal violation related to Mr. Paffrath’s activity, would be a violation of his First Amendment right.
4. The lesson here, aside from the clarification on the application of the First Amendment, is: don’t bite the hand that feeds you (unless you’re prepared to go hungry or to find a way to feed yourself).
Everybody needs to pay attention to vacant warehouses with the parking lots or garages full of white DHS or UN vehicles. From a legal standpoint, since there was no signed agreement between him and the hotel regarding confidentiality, the hotel doesn’t have a leg to stand on. They obviously reacted to pressure from DHS goons. the guy is probably better off leaving that hotel anyway. It’s possible some better opportunities could come along for him. Back in 2001, already being rather more awake than average, I saw this coming and left for europe. While it is FAR from perfect, it was clear to me and mine that it wouldn’t be long before all that GWOT (Global War On Terror) stuff would indeed be turned against our fellow americans.
I used to fly back to the states every single year, until an event caused me realise it was too dangerous to do so ever again. Suffice it to say I was held incommunicado, tortured lightly, without charge, access to phone or an attorney and I repeatedly threatened with 20 days incarceration before seeing a judge and further threatened with being sent to gitmo if I didn’t wave all my rights over a matter that didn’t exist. Strictly due to my having emailed a photo of myself on the plane en route to the US [I’ve had mobile internet since 2002] to a family member, I was released after 48 hours after they tracked me down and payed a five figure bribe – er sorry, “fine” again over a matter that didn’t exist. Upon release, I spent the rest of my vacation trying to find a lawyer who would file charges and get me compensated for the false imprisonment, but not one of over 200 attorneys I spoke with would touch the case for any fee or contigency – including the ACLU.
Now, just a few short years later I read about stories like this happening with alarming frequency. Yet, despite that, people are STILL for the most part totally asleep, unaware and entirely unwilling to start rising up, fighting back, going on national strike or do anything besides gripe behind their keyboards and monitors.
I am so sad about this. The momement the revolution begins, I shall find my way back home to provide whatever assistance I can. Until then, I chose to stay out of harms way, safe and ready to take up the fight once it begins. The saddest part is that while I used to believe it wouldn’t take long before I could return, I now am truly beginning to believe that it may never happen in my lifetime.

There is no one worth politically supporting. There is no longer any desire in so many to do “what it takes” to sort things out and correct this mess. We could SO EASILY do it by acting locally and kicking out the centralization taking place. (Remember the PC revolution extolling the virtues of DE-centralization? But, I’ll share this: I’m an old white guy; Christian, previously atheist. Divorced a good wife who became too addicted to crack for me to put up with after three years of it when she started “cockrockin” if you know what I mean.
So I left town. A year after the divorce on vacation back in the US, it came to my attention she had at some point stolen my passport, my personal and in my name only checkbook and wrote some bad checks. At a certain store we ID’d here on video using those and HER own loyalty card. Despite that, they wanted to prosecute me!!! I said that was ridiculous and refused to pay that year, and travelled back to Europe at the end of my vacation.
Next year, I decided I’d done well enough to be big enough to pay that few hundred dollars; it wasn’t worth having hanging over my head – even while living abroad. Thing is, the local DA never updated the NCIS system and thus a year later, the event you ask about happened. The town refuses to reimburse me their bribe; er, sorry I mean “fine”, no lawyer will take the case and now statutes of limimtation have supposedly run out.
I don’t know what else she and/or others may have done. It was so terrifying (those 48 hours), that I almost decided to depart back to Europe from canada instead of on my return ticket, just in case anything else I didn’t know about was hanging over my head and about to be dropped on me.
That’s all I’m going to say about it here, ever. It is painful, ancient history to me now, and not very polite evening conversation. 🙂

I remember I was at a Air show on a military base and they had guards and a sign out saying do not take a picture of this air craft or you camera will be confiscated and the person or persons would be detained.
Of course why did they have this aircraft out on the tarmac in the first place ???????

What purpose did it serve? So he could look cool pointing out something before anyone else? Not every single person who works for DHS is evil. Not every single action or plan is evil.
These officials were not doing anything wrong and they did not deserve the tin foil hat treatment. There is a time to show concern, this was not!

Is it just me or is there anybody else it there frustrated with the way things have transpired since the grand jury has come out with their no true bill in ferguson. Here a cop who was protecting himself now has to leave law enforcement for fear of what is going to happen to him and his family. For what? He lost his job, his livelihood, his chosen career path all because a bunch of criminals are out to kill him because he killed one of theirs. How many of them can give you the names of every black person gunned down in ferguson by another black? How about Chicago, Washington d.c. None of them. It seems it is alright for them to gun themselves down and shoot their own. It is alright to sell dope, knock up your own women and then abandon them to the system while you move onto the next victim. Let a cop shoot one of you and you burn things up, steal stuff that ain’t yours to take. Do you think GOD is going to stand by and allow you to keep getting away with this without consequences. You are right there is a coming race war in America and you dumb asses(that’s right BLACKS) have declared war on your own race. Your kids are stupid. They smoke dope, commit crimes and kill each other. The war that is a race war is of your own doing and nobody is to blame but the likes of the liberal agenda of taking from everybody else and giving it to those do not work or for that matter deserve it.
