Editor’s Note: The signs of collapse are all around us. From naturally occurring phenomenon to man-made influence, one can’t help but notice that something just isn’t right with the world. Most people ignore the possibilities, often making up excuses for why they shouldn’t be preparing for a significant change to our way of life. But the evidence, as outlined in the following analysis by long-time SHTFplan Community contributor Be Informed, suggests that failing to prepare for it could have a horrific outcome.
It is not just you that has seen that life has begun to stink for the human population around the globe. Like a sick person there are symptoms of a much more aggressive underlying condition that can become or IS terminal. Life is not just like it was a generation or two ago. This is not just some sort of nostalgic longing for people’s youth.
Times have become strange, disturbing and frightening for most. Even the most elderly and long lived of the people can tell you that during their lifetimes there has not been such a disconnect with the dreams of people and their futures looking bright.
A negative cloud hangs over human civilization and the following 50 examples show why we all should be quite unsettled.
1. Fukushima. This is a catastrophe that is poisoning the regional western Pacific Ocean that will become worldwide sooner than later unless repaired or contained.
2. Bee and butterfly die off. Butterflies are the canary in the coal mine warning of a toxic environment. Bees are the difference between food and about 1/2 less the needed amount we all depend on if bees are not around to pollinate flowers. Bees help fuel the agriculture industry.
3. Genetically modified foods and poor unhealthy livestock. We are not meant to eat frankenstein food that our bodies don’t recognize or don’t properly assimilate. Eating animals that are shot full of chemicals or that eat GMO foods or other substandard feed is a human health problem starting with all forms of cancer.
4. Lack of arable land. At a certain point people won’t be able to grow enough food to feed the world. This is normally reached at between 1500-2000 people per square mile of arable land. Right now the world stands at about 1400 people per square mile of arable land.
5. Antibiotic resistant diseases. This is very serious for humans as a very contagious and highly fatal bacteria could wipe out massive numbers. It is also an issue with animals on the farm and plant life people depend on to consume. An agricultural blight would be just as devastating as centuries ago if uncontrollable. People go hungry.
6. Chemical poisoning of the water ways. This is from the creeks to the streams to rivers and lakes to the ocean. Clean water is necessary for health. Food sources are being contaminated at a very alarming rates from toxins all around the world.
7. Fresh water scarcity. One only has to look to the American Southwest to see just how important fresh water is and what any drought can do. Famine becomes more and more likely when someone cannot give crops enough water. Cities can cease to function without enough water.
8. Toxic processed foods being the normal staple people eat. Junk food by any name, people become extremely malnourished which causes an overwhelmed health care system. People simple don’t function well when they live on bad food.
9. Super germs, both human, animal, and plant. There are life forms in the plant and animal kingdom that go extinct all the time. Recently Ebola has become more virulent, new diseases such as MERS shows an increase of the chance of a super pathogen killing off large percentages.
10. Human beings becoming more frail. Lack of good food, proper exercise, clean safe water and food has helped create a creme puff type of people. These people lack hardiness and will wither in the face of any real hardship.
11. Invasive introduction of species not meant to be part of certain ecosystems. People continue to accidentally or on purpose bring in plants, animals, and germs into places that just can’t handle them. Look at the Burmese Python snake in Florida that has decimated the animal life there. Asian fish and mollusk species into American waters have caused horrible damage.
12. Pharmacentical poisoning of humans. MEDS, as people call them, have caused side effect after side effect and left exploding health care costs that have bankrupted individuals all over the place. On top of this it has left the population in a state of being almost half dead.
13. Over vaccinations. There is still much debate over Autism and vaccinations being the cause, but why is it necessary to overtax our immune systems with every practical inoculation against every disease ever thought of? Especially something someone has extremely little chance of ever catching?
14. Difficulty in maintaining proper crop production. In many areas the ground is no longer able to sustain itself because of over fertilizing creating a brine of salt and other minerals. More and more already scarce water to help water down the soil becomes necessary. Plants suffer disease and need even more fertilizer treatments to give out a decent crop. These plants also need more pesticides.
15. Expansions of human settlements into known disaster areas. Much of these terrible calamities such as intense flooding can be avoided by proper planning and never putting buildings into known danger areas such as flood plains. This expansion continues at an alarming rate each year.
16. Little or no protection given to people’s businesses and homes from catastrophes. Flood walls, buildings constructed to better withstand earthquakes, pre-established fire breaks, etc. The whole country and other countries are mostly still at the mercy of Mother Nature because of lack of insight to safeguard property. See #1 Fukushima.
17. Crumbling infrastructure. Someone can drive around and see all the bridges and roads in desperate need of repair or replacement. The power grids and nuclear plants are at the top of the lists in need of help, and would cripple the country if and when they fail.
18. Over populating urban areas worldwide. This is a problem that is waiting to become a cataclysm should the economy collapse or other widespread disaster occur. Large cities depend entirely on outside aid to continue to operate. Without this, large cities die and with them most of the people that live there. Congestion is adding much to the stress level of hundreds of millions from these concentrated number of people living like matchsticks on top of each other.
19. Almost total inability of most people to adapt to harsh change. A sudden drop off of “necessary” reliances have put most people on the brink of individual collapse when what they need is not there for them for days, weeks, months or longer.
20. Failure of solutions and problems. Like Fukushima, other big problems are lost for concern as there is a near universal acceptance of just living with it no matter how terrible it is.
21. People depending on safety nets to bail them out of ALL circumstances. So many now just know that no matter what happens, the government, FEMA, or other agency will save them. People have become reliant on others that might or might not be there. Setting up for failure.
22. No monetary accountability. As people care less and less, future financial disasters build up steam and are allowed to get worse. New 2008-09 type economic collapses become more likely as phantom money and fudged numbers go by without much thought about what is really happening.
23. Exploding debt. The U.S. debt is following E to the X expansion in which inflation not only becomes hyper, but infinite and limitless. This is the way expontential E to X works as the line of increase starts out gentle and almost flat and grows to almost 90 degree vertical increase.
24. More percentage of world’s money in less percentage of the people’s hands. Money simply means power, and less people have this power. This means fewer people with more control over more people, a lot more control.
25. Main stream media and government deception. Most people are naive and even more so want to think everything is rosy and wonderful. We are being fed a constant stream of information that doesn’t begin to scratch the surface just how awful things are and how close to everything falling apart life as we know it is.
26. Lack of privacy and government intrusion into our lives. Besides the drone problem, you just have to ask how much NSA and others pries into our private lives and makes honest good citizens into suspects of everything and anything.
27. People wanting to be linked up to everything. While people complain about the government looking in like peeping Toms at others’ lives, the public wants to be connected with everything. This is opening all sorts of windows to everyone’s lives that they’d rather not have others observing.
28. Credit cards and taking physical money from society. Cashless societies means that every single thing someone purchases is monitored. One thing bought could send your friendly neighborhood Gestapo to your door to see why you purchased what you did. People depend more on plastic cards than anytime in history. This also of course leads to bankrupt type debt from so many that are irresponsible with credit.
29. Allowing a machine or government to do someone’s thinking for them. People will not even act on anything anymore without asking their SMART phone to do everything for them. They rather have those in authority tell them how to think and behave, it is far easier.
30. Total dependence on technology and gadgets. People cannot function the most rudimentry tasks or problems anymore. Mental laziness is gripping this world.
31. Lack of concern for anyone but oneself. Self indulgence and living for the moment at other people’s expense. Just look at the most popular word now filtering around the world, SELFIE.
32. Worship and practice of weirdness and perversion. There is a loss of wholesomeness that was once praised and admired. The following of these music idols shows this all too well.
33. Human self mutilations. You look at some of the face jewelry that pierces their lips and cheeks that looks like some has been blasted by shrapnel and you wonder how anyone would want to look like they were hit by some suicide bomber. A trendy look that is a frightening example of how much certain people dislike or hate their bodies and lives.
34. Listlessness and stagnation of humans. There is a strong lack of any drive in people anymore. Like a sloth people just exist and wander around like zombies oblivious to much around them.
35. Political correctness and conformity. This is a plague, as people are losing their rights to say anything that might be offensive to anyone. The First Amendent is dying slowly in front of our eyes. It doesn’t matter how well thought out or true something is, only that NO ONE has hurt feelings from what is said.
36. Taking people out of the decision making processes. As technology grows so does the elimination of people. This is not only job losses, but allows fewer and fewer to make important decisions in business, military, and everyday life. It sets up for failure that is not easily correctable when the status quo does flop.
37. Destruction of people’s rights as humans and as life forms to defend themselves. Those that would attempt to control everyone by forcing their idealism of what means to be civilized is the taking away of people’s self defense all over the world. Some areas even prohibit the use of your own personal body to save yourself from being brutally attacked.
38. Numbness of other people suffering. Even to the point of enjoyment of seeing others in pain, sadism is becoming more intense each day. Music songs talk about this barbarism all the time. Pain for everyone is the new norm that individuals are gravitating towards like a moth towards fire.
39. People’s lack of convictions. Just look at the 90% disapproval ratings given to the U.S. congress. Each election cycle however the same politicians that get so much hate and flank are re-elected over and over again. Most people talk and that is it.
40. Indifference and falling apart of the family unit. There has been, over the course of humanity, much strength and security in families. This is dying off as families have grown so far apart that they interact only for short amounts of time each day with each other. A common response to this is a cop out – we have to let others live their own lives.
41. Escapism. Human beings are so miserable with the horrors of the world that they take drugs, create fake worlds of fantasies in video games, and do anything they can to get away from it.
42. Death of the human conscience. This is one of the most distressing of human problems that there is. People have lost that special side of them that defines wrong and right. Morality is way more than what others tell you what is correct, it is knowing what is fair and just towards others.
43. Widespread unhappiness, depression, despair, fear, anger, and hopelessness. Those that choose not to escape from this, deal with this ugliness each day. The stress level of so many is higher than anytime in history.
44. Increase of rampant insanity. Whether it is from brain chemistry toxins or just human beings losing it, lunacy is becoming commonplace everywhere. Then 2nd Amendment rights are vilified and blamed on firearms rather than the person that needs mental help and would have used some other tool to murder others anyway.
45. Loopholing of long established laws and freedoms. All over the world peoples’ rights are being attacked by their government to gain more control. This is fueled further by the majority of the population accepting and supporting this power grab. Many in the U.S. actually want to rewrite the Constitution, something that has worked remarkably well for more than 200 years.
46. Terrorism and other mass attacks becoming easier and easier. With technological advancement comes the ability to manufacture very deadly weapons of mass destruction. The worst of any of these are biological weapons that can kill millions or billions, not just directed at humans, but possibly at livestock and crops.
47. Willlingness of countries to fight over less and less. Natural resource depletion, especially fresh clean water, has always been a war starter. Now with so much less to go around it has become an even larger issue.
48. Many so called leaders now feel that nuclear war is winnable or the ONLY option. Nuclear weapons are now on more of a hair trigger than they have been for decades. Countries are itching for a fight like North Korea and China against Japan and South Korea. Those that are overmatched in conventional weapons feel they can make this up with nuclear warheads. Human civilization is almost living on borrowed time with this one.
49. Intensification of religious hatred. In the past few years peoples’ disgust towards each other based on their religious belief has grown to the most dangerous level in decades and is continuing to get worse. Look at all the examples of savage attacks based solely on someone’s faith every week.
50. Lack of preparation by 99%+ of the population. This is something that should be of grave concern to everyone. People are simply not ready for the next human catastrophe, which will eventually come violently.
Number 50 is the most essential. It is a simple choice by an individual if they want to have a chance to live for themselves and their families and see through a SHTF disaster, or die a hard ugly death.
There are countless more than 50 abominations that humans are rotting through now. It is the choice of the individual to either attempt to do something about the storm that will come, or live in self denial that this could ever happen.
Do you live in a world where your government will come to the rescue like the cavalry? A world where you need not self prepare for anything because 9-1-1 calls will link help within minutes?
Or have you come to terms with the fact that, as we saw during Hurricane Katrina, you will be totally on your own and failure to prepare will leave you without food, water, or anything else necessary to survive?
A lot of problems with human civilization add up in the future to a collapse of most of everything we depend on.
The choice is up to each individual, as the signs of impending big problems in the future cannot be dismissed no matter how far in ground someone wants to bury the truth.

This Earth has not nor is there empirical evidence, from any credible source that has found there was a prior civilization that used nuclear power, prior to the actual time line in which it was first developed.
Rampant speculation of subjective non-critical thinking/dreaming does not qualify as any kind of evidence for which the population should concern themselves with.

I was thinking about you when I heard about the 5.6 earthquake that hit northern Yunnan recently.
The list is great and you are to be commended for coming up with the list. Thanks to you and thanks to Mac for publishing it. I would also add “The refusal or rejection of sound advice by so many people.” Really, this is at the core of many of society’s illnesses. Common sense is no longer common.

We are, and will continue to do so up to the last minute. I just came in from outdoors and was struck by how beautiful (in my eyes) our place is, but still feel the sadness and terror mentioned in this excellent article. We are saddled with a conscience and I am always amazed at how rare that is, as well as total lack of common sense in the populace as a whole. It’s depressing to see how the evil Obama continues to thrive and the harm caused to innocent people. I know good is supposed to win out in the end, but will it this time?

Today, I heard the news that Jim Brady, Reagan’s press secretary who was wounded in the assassination attempt in 1981, and later with his wife they became 2 of the biggest figures in the gun control aka anti-selfdefense movement, has died. I won’t shed any tears over him or miss him. According to the Bible, that last sentence is probably wrong, but I can’t help it. In the beginning after the attack I actually had some sympathy for him because he was a victim of a criminal attack. But when he and his wife later joined the gun grabbers are started Handgun Control, Inc. that was the straw that broke this camel’s back. I lost whatever respect I had for them. they turned into POS gun grabbers and have been working to do away with individual self-defense ever since. In my mind, anyone who tampers with self-defense in any way, shape, or form, is committing an act of treachery. I would suggest you create a simple inventory control. Put a numbered hang tag on each gun then in a corresponding book write down the description of the gun, all the vital information that potential buyer would want to know and also a true FMV based upon todays date. Then, periodically update the FMV and any new info you may want to add. I have done this for all my guns. Just in case of my death my daughter will know exactly what she has and what its worth…not just what I paid for it. I have seen way too many survivors not know what dad or grandpa had…they just want $300.

Had the prior owners just done some basis inventory control I never would have gotten some of those great deals. I agree that for estate planning and planning for your loved ones you need not only have a will to cover who gets what, but even more descriptive information to convey what they are getting and the value of those goods. But then again, your dead so what do you really care how much your 1938 Luger S/42 sells for?

You know, what gets me is people are allowed to have as many vicious dogs as they like– no permit required. These dogs DO attack people, sometimes, one’s own family members– kids, wives, grandchildren, babies in the crib… killing them, tearing off their faces, limbs, or whatever.
Yet according to our stupid government we are not allowed to have a gun– a means of defending ourselves– unless we get a license. Dogs can be LETHAL WEAPONS!!!
If someone is allowed to walk around with 2 pittbulls (no license required!) then why the hell do I have to get a permit to buy a gun?! As a female, who does not have the strenght to defend myself from vicious animals (including vicious human males!) I shouldn’t have to have a license to buy a gun!
Anon,in many places in this country you don’t need a gun license,ironically these places for most part do require a dog license/tags what have you.A lot of the country you want to buy a gun,tis simple,you have the money,you buy it.Needless to say can see this changing on a executive order decree at any time,of course,many will ignore it.
I understand your issue with the license for a gun vs a pitbull or some other kind of dog; however permits for the defense of one’s life bother me far less than lack of permits to create life.
In all places in this country, one does not need a license to create as many new lives as they are unable to care for. Heck, in all places in the world it is that way; maybe with the exception of China. I am not in favor of government telling one if they can have children or not, but I would strongly argue in favor of mandatory sterilization as a condition of taking public assistance of any kind. The decision to create a new life should come with all kinds of responsibilities and obligations attached, and if the parents are incapable of meeting these obligations, they should have their reproductive abilities removed until such time as they demonstrate they are responsible enough to care for any more offspring.
Moon, once again I have to agree. On self-defense I don’t recognize or follow any restrictions on self-defense. When I get into any situation where my life is in danger I will deal with the threat any way I consider necessary and I don’t care if my actions are legal or illegal. We are a “family” now and growing all the time thanks to guys and gals like yourself, Mac and a lot of other commenters and contributers on this site I have become very fond of and enjoy reading. Prep tip: If you have enough paper satans you could get a used 48 volt golf cart (lifted preferably) with a canopy and install solar panels on the top. Add an inverter and you have portable power to run tools etc. Most Club Car brand carts are 48 volts and have good power. Make a trailer for it and haul water, wood, supplies all with free energy. I have seen a guy that used one to tow his airplane around. Also a good idea to have a desulphator on the batteries to maximize life.

I want to expand on this prophecy thing a bit.
As a 20 year veteran of reading,researching, and trying to better understand prophecy from God’s word, I have come to the realization that we are truly living in the “last days”.
This is not saying, I believe the world as we know it will disappear next month,next year, or in the next decade. i have my ideas and predictions that I will keep to myself at this time.
What I do believe is that this is “Satan’s time”. He has but a limited and short time of being able to influence God’s children to follow him and his lies.
He knows it, and is working “overtime” in getting things set up for his arrival, “de facto”, to earth. In his own body, that he will have disguised as Christ’s, aka- antichrist.
Just look around, at the younger generation especially. Not much hope in their eyes. They look for acceptance by standing out with a body covered in piercings and tats, and clothing that reeks of uglyness, and perverseness.
When they should be looking for acceptance from their Heavenly Father that gave them life, not their guidance by that evil one, that gives them lustful pleasures for things of the flesh, such as indiscriminate sex as homosexuals, and drugs, etc. Having unprotected sex before marriage and then feeling no shame in killing of that unborn fetus/life as, a result of those actions.
It, the tribulation period, is coming during this generation of foolish people. Many say it is here now; maybe so, but it will get worse.
Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of smart and good folks left; and, many come to this SHTF site regularly.
There just aren’t enough of us that are actually trying to do something about the world in which we live in; so…we do what we can to “prepare” for the coming troubles and personal tragedies that lie ahead.

Once a Doctor told me I might die in six months if I did not follow her instructions. I told her we all had to die sometime. You could have lit a smoke off her forehead. Sling … I know what you mean about doctors. From all of the interactions that I’ve had with a bunch of them over the years, most are not interested in curing what ever’s wrong with you. They think they’ve done their job by consulting their “Standard of Care” book which tells them what drug to dispense for a given symptom or set of symptoms.
God forbid you should ask them a question to defend either their diagnosis or the drug that they want to prescribe. I have been having a problem with one of my ankles for over twenty years, that to this day not one of the five doctors that I’ve consulted has been able to diagnose what the real problem is. An orthopedist that I was referred to early on wanted me to start taking Celebrex which had just been identified as causing dangerous heart problems. I asked him why, when x-rays, MRI’s, CAT scans and a scope procedure found no obvious problems like arthritis or torn ligaments, he was making this recommendation in light of the recent drug findings. His response was “Hey, I give this stuff to my father”. I got up, thanked him for his time and left.
I still have problems off and on with it. I’ve found that when I eat certain foods that can contribute to inflammation, my ankle flairs up. I try to avoid these, but it means giving up some stuff that I really like, BACON being one them.
The biggest problem that I find with doctors is their arrogance in thinking they’re always right and shouldn’t be questioned. They’re so smart that they’re stupid.

I get the same feeling as, are they meeting a quota or pushing a new drug. I also have a problem with swelling and like you, bacon is a culprit. All this crap about saving lives with upper and lower GI’s. This food or that food or vitamin. The best thing is to hang around young people and have fun. Chiropractors and healing through nutrition are non invasive like medical treatment you get from a doctor, with no harmful side effects. The ads on TV for medicines are hilarious! The side effects are much, much worse than the original condition they are trying to treat! Also, read books about the horribly corrupt pharmaceutical business!!

I agree that the adds for drugs, where ever you find them, usually list a whole lot of side affects, some of which are potentially life threatening, and at least sound a lot worse than the condition that the drugs are purportedly trying to treat.
I’ve also done a fair bit of reading about the corruption in the FDA/Pharma/US Congress links. Makes me want to puke that our elected reps have such little regard for the harm that these companies can do to us with the the cooperation of the people that we elect to look out for us. Then they’ll have the nerve to say “who, me?” when the hemp and pitch fork parties start. I just hope that I’m still around to.see it.
As far as nutritionists go, I consider them part of the medical establishment, who for the most part are lost without their play book and couldn’t find their way down a well with a map and a flash light. But that’s just me. Maybe there are some good ones out there. I just haven’t had much luck with them.

Some are in it for the money only and i am proof positive that they can hurt you, badly and in some cases it may be permanent.

There’s something there, that is going to change everything.
I hear about the elite planning for the collapse and building shelters for themselves. Somehow, I doubt it will turn out the way they plan.
First of all, most of them do not have the skills and mindset for long term survival in a collapse. Most of them are highly dependent on technology and minions to maintain their lifestyle. Where will they be when this disappears (even if they have an entire pre-stocked city of supplies)?
Secondly, they are used to hoards of minions protecting them and doing their bidding. How long until the minions realize that the people they are protecting are sitting on hoards of supplies? How long until there is a shift in power and someone else takes over? It makes for a scenario of factions battling it out over ever decreasing supplies.
It would then be interesting to see reality set in but I would rather not see it up close. I am glad they are building places far away from me.

NO wonder people are off their rockers! We are all lab rats in the grand scheme of things- chasing our tails and looking for the cheese at the end of the maze. 🙁

The answer to #24, which I take to mean the concentration of the planet’s Wealth in 2.5% of the wealthiest individuals and families, has a solution: tax wealth, not merely income.
When WE as a COLLECTIVE species do THAT, then the other 49 things can begin to achieve equitable, just, and fair resolution, because most if not all of those 49 things were foisted on us by a chief weapon of Satan which is control and his human allies = those people who carry out his directives, often by deception, because Satan will not show those people exactly the myriad tortures that await them in Hell for eternity.
Greed and sin– both individual and collective– have blinded us to two things: one, the fact that the Earth belongs to the Lord and is intended for all 7.5 billion, not the 5% wealthiest who describe the rest of us as “useless eaters”, and two, that only by joining together to use Gandhian Force, the force of the Truth, can we liberate humanity. I fear, though, it might be too late. For example, instead of suppressing genetically MODIFIED cancer-causing food, they suppressed free energy inventions.
Only God can judge the PERSON; I only attempt to judge BEHAVIOR– that which I have listed and BI’s list.
We ARE in the end times. Each of us CONTINUES to SENSE that:
– The Antichrist is about to announce himself.
– Currency may indeed collapse to make way for the Mark.
– A global pandemic threatens to empower the elected lunatics to control, segregate, and kill us all.
Therefore:
FIRST, we must repent and prepare our souls since death might arrive by Asteroid, Tsunami, Earthquake, Nuclear War, &/or a man-made Pandemic Virus.
SECOND, we must prepare as though all electricity becomes destroyed, currency collapsed, and food becomes scarcer.
THIRD,, we must think as a Master Chess Player: ANTICIPATING the moves of the Destroyers (they come in all types of uniforms and all forms of disguise, some elected) and OUTTHINKING them to elude and evade them.
FOURTH, we MUST pray (yes, even for our enemies, so their souls are not lost to the fires of Hell for eternity) and we MUST pray to and trust Almighty God Himself.

The rate of infection remains pretty consistent. But as time passes the total number of infections will sky rocket.

I would like to thank you everybody that complimented the article, and those that didn’t like it I wish you had. There are so many other reasons why all of us need to prepare, so at least we have a fighting chance when the hammer comes down. Even people with a simple month’s worth of food and supplies will at least not immediately see their family starving to death and gasping for water from dehydration. There are very poor people that see what is coming and do there very best with the meager amounts that they have. They should be very commended.
Sometimes it takes articles like this to wake up people that may read it and say, yeah maybe I should be getting ready. We can all just hope for their sake and the human civilization that enough people will prepare and be ready to face what is coming.

Right, anyone who doesn’t like to be spoon fed the same old doom porn on a daily basis is a damn fool. Maybe they just choose to live free from fear and paranoia. Try giving up this site for a month or two, than come back and see for yourself the 60 stories of impending doom have not happened. How many times were we have to gone to war with Russia already? 10? 20? How many times was the currency supposed to collapse and have bread cost 1000 bucks per loaf, with people resorting to cannibalism? It’s interesting that these claims NEVER materialize but that somehow reinforces the belief that it’s inevitable, but of course nobody will EVER give a time frame, it’s ALWAYS going to happen SOON, but never quite gets around to happening.

Forget Katrina! Hurricane Sandy should have been that last ditch wake up call, with old people standing on the corner begging for FEMA to come help them. Remember that elderly woman, begging, “People are dying out here… you HAVE to get a truck on the corner”.
That was aired on CNN repeatedly for at least a week. Why in the world no one paid attention and gave thought to prepping their own water is beyond me, and then the water crisis in Toledo hits and no one is prepped. Once again, people are going crazy, standing in long lines for water, leaning on big daddy govt to take care of them.
And after that, most people will still live in their bubbles, taking their daily SELFIE, posting to instagram or facebook and pretending that obama’s “got this”.
I throw my hands up and feel frustrated from all that I see. I was born in the wrong century. I don’t belong in this era at all. I have strong morals, strong convictions, and I believe in hard work. I believe in responsible gun ownership and treating your neighbors and people with respect. I believe that people shouldn’t go out in their pajamas and slippers to go shopping and take care of things. I believe women should wear decent clothes and take care of themselves. I could go on and on. I was raised this way by my parents, who worked for every penny they had, two blue collar workers in a factory. We never wanted for anything, and they never saw the inside of a welfare office.
I’m not very old, I’m 46. But I still see this world around me as crumbling into moral decay where welfare is an acceptable lifestyle choice. I see people my age who don’t even care, or want to work for what they have. They literally rather live at home with their elderly parents, than work for what they have, and that age bracket is stretching into people in their 30’s and 20’s. I find it appalling when I look over and see a 20 something, young healthy looking man taking SNAP. Ever hear of working? Sorry, but to me, welfare is a hand UP not a lifestyle choice and living off the backs of others is immoral. Unless you are disabled, one of our honored vets, or elderly…. there’s no excuse for anyone to not work.
Everyone wants it easy and fast. I know women my age and younger who don’t know how to cook, they can barely operate a microwave. It is scary… very scary.
I could rant on and on so I’ll just stop here. This article was 100% dead on.

I even have an Aquaponics set up that grows fresh fish and fast vegetables to eat and that is powered by 12 volt as well.
