Cover Up: “The Levels of Radiation In the Place Are Through the F*cking Roof”

It’d be humorous if it weren’t such a tragedy.

In the spirit of saving money Japan’s power company Tepco has resorted to the ultimate jerry-rigging technique for stopping leaks in the pipes holding radioactive water at the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

A Japanese worker who spent six months at the Fukushima nuclear power plant says that he isn’t surprised about the latest radioactive leaks from the plant because of its shoddy construction and repair work, including the use of duct tape to “fix” key equipment.

Yoshitatsu Uechi, 48, told the Asahi Shimbun newspaper that he and his fellow workers were under such intense pressure to perform repairs as quickly as possible on the devastated plant that adhesive tape was used to “repair” critical equipment and that they even neglected to apply rust inhibitor on the radioactive water tanks.

“I couldn’t believe that such slipshod work was being done,” he said. “Even if it was part of stopgap measures.”

Back in Oct. 2012, Uechi and another worker climbed to the top of a storage tank holding radioactive water in order to bolt a steel lid over its opening.

When they reached the top, he noticed that the opening, one foot in diameter, was only covered with white adhesive tape and that the water level was less than two feet from below the opening.

He was given only four bolts to fasten the lid even though there were eight bolt holes in total.

While hundreds of Japanese citizens have died from radiation poisoning thus far and thousands more are likely suffering from radiation induced life threatening conditions, Tepco’s primary concern is the bottom line.

When this disaster first happened we noted, to the vehement disagreement and calls of sensationalism from experts in the field, that Fukushima would be worse than Chernobyl.

We noted how radioactive plumes would make their way to the United States and increase radiation levels nationwide, as well as the adverse maritime effects to wildlife.

The media, of course, dismissed such notions as an overreaction and the U.S. government remained completely quiet, other than to suggest Americans stock up on Potassium Iodide (KI) as a protective measure to limit radioactive absorption in the human body. This sent the price of KI skyrocketing to over $200 per pack, an overnight rise of nearly 2000%.

    Then the story just… disappeared.

If you were following mainstream news reports you’d think they fixed the problem. But the reality is that it has gotten much worse and three years on we are now seeing the effects manifest all over the country.

Sea life along the west coast is dying en masse. Radiation levels have risen and been detected in snow and rain across the midwestern United States and the Northeast. In San Francisco, Geiger counters go nuts as you move from the beach towards the water.

Watch Geiger Counter readings “go into alarm” as researcher approaches the beach. Health officials say they are “befuddled” as to the cause:

We’re even seeing higher radiations levels in Tuna fish and other seafood that’s being served up at local restaurants. And just recently 71 sailors who were sent to respond to the disaster in its early days have been diagnosed with cancer and radiation poisoning.

Here’s the scary version: They have no idea how to fix the problem, so the radiation leaks and water dumps will continue unabated. This could literally go on for decades.

Tepco is trying to save as much money as possible with no regard for human life. The Japanese government is pretending like everything is just fine and dandy. And the international community, including the U.S. government, has taken no steps whatsoever to involve themselves in the repair efforts.

It’s as if they don’t really care that millions of people are being exposed to significantly higher than normal radiation doses across our entire planet.

Meanwhile, as CEO Shane Smith of documentary firm and magazine VICE noted in a recent interview, “The levels of radiation in the place are through the f*cking roof.”

If you look at Fukushima, it’s an perfect example of the issue with nuclear power.

The levels of radiation have not f*cking gone down. We have a team there shooting right now. The levels of radiation in the place are through the f*cking roof.

There’re a lot of stories now coming out that the Japanese government kept it under wraps, didn’t want to tell anybody. The food around the whole region was irradiated. People in Tokyo were showing increased signs, etc. etc. It’s going to be bad for quite some time. What do you expect?

    Global Research Via Steve Quayle

In the interview Chef and restaurant owner Eddie Huang responded to a question about the clean up and why there’s been no progress.

His answer pretty much sums it up.

“I’m guessing they can’t [clean it up] — that’s why they don’t talk about it.”

      1. watch for the veggies and sea food coming outta california.this cant be a good thing.
How long will the radiation effect the west coast ?

        • Testing handle

          • So other than getting our potassium iodide pills and be aware of our diet, what else can we do?

            • Some other things you CAN do include changing out the furnace filters regularly, change out the cabin filters on your vehicle, purchase a HEPA air filter, remove your shoes when inside your home so you’re not spreading particles in your living environment, and finally if you’re real concerned wear a filter mask when outdoors. I would also not eat fish from the Pacific or Gulf.

              • Ann Coulter said that radiation was good for us, so don’t worry.

We won’t have to worry about that SOB Algore taking away our light bulbs. Everything will glow in the dark.

                • And all the so called navy nuke experts who ridiculed me and vehemently argued with me on survivalistboards.com when I immediately said this would be worse than Chernobyl and we were never going to know the truth until it was too late

                  • First of all this is another example of people needing to be prepared for what is coming. Even if there is no spreading beyond a regional level around Japan of radioactive contamination, the animals and plants WILL spread it throughout the Pacific and the other oceans. This is the way it works because animals and plants move around, A LOT. The old food chain is at work here. You might catch a fish that ate a fish that ate another fish that ate a whole buch of contaminated material real close to Fukushima.

This also brings up something that I have not harped on for awhile, those whom you trust in your survival group. I cannot stress enough to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL with whom you trust with all your prepper plans.

I have seen this too often just how full of sh#$ people are and how easily they will turn on you to suit their own selfish needs. Your supplies are a lifeline and if some untrustworthy person that was depending on you to feed their family when you thought they were on board preparing turns on you, there is a problem. They can blackmail you and threaten to tell the mob what you have and where everything you have is.

The old expression money talks and bullsh%^ walks also applies to survival supplies as this will become the new money after the collapse of civilization. I had to sound so cynical, but people out there please listen. You are very lucky if you can count true blue loyal friends on two hands. Deep down everyone outh there knows within themselves there are people that have big fat question marks on them. Those question marks if you let them know too much with come back to haunt you worst than any ghost. Each day something gets closer, and I again implore to everyone out there please be careful with certain people with things that you want to keep secret as possible. There are snakes in the grass to almost all of us out there that you must not trust.

By the way the Nazca plate is going crazy down west of South America. 100% of the time when these exact spots have been hit major earthquakes have followed soon after. The one on the far southern tip of the plate had an earthquake same spot 2 years ago and 15 days later the largest strike slip earthquake evber recorded hit. This cycle will likely not wait that long. This is again targeting the northern Australian plate, northern Pacific plate, especially the Aleutians and Gulf of Alaska, Japan, India/China down to Mynamar, East Indonesia and New Guinea, Mexico and northern west South America around Columbia and Ecuador, Marianna Islands and Guam. Other areas seem less likely at this time.

                  • Why be mystified?

The response of governments to this disaster is completely in keeping with the agenda of the elite owners of “our” governments: DEPOPULATION.

                  • Theres your problem BJ. Survivalistboards has too many know it all pricks and even some of the mods are pricks. Dont take a man long to realize it aint a friendly place. Too much hostility going on there so Why bother. I gave up after a few posts. You aint alone.

                  • John Q

That’s EXACTLY what I was thinking as I was reading the article!

                • “Oh, we don’t have a refrigerator, we just use Ann Coulter.” -Family Guy

                • “””It’s as if they don’t really care that millions of people are being exposed to significantly higher than normal radiation doses across our entire planet.”””

Of course they don’t care. It’s depopulation in action. Good thing Bush bought that 100,000 acre farm in Paraguay 4 years in advance.

                  Think that was coincidence?

                  • Yes, George Bush KNEW there was going to be an EARTHQUAKE four years before it happened. Yup, that’s it. GW is a huge quake predictor.

                    WTF are you thinking?

                  • dumba$$, try googling HAARP and govt controlled weather.

                  • Dumba$says,
The bushs bought that ranch because it is the only part of the world that does not show serious signs from when a pole shift has occurred and that has happened at least two times and maybe more. do the research and you will see why they bought it and they are not the only ones to have bought property in that part of the world!!

                  • Iv’e been telling people this since fuku and maybe 40% even believe it still. Thats ok follow what the govt. says all the way to your grave. We need to get rid of some of the idiots on this earth anyway. All is well now back to your regularly scheduled programming 🙂

                  • There’s also a
lot of fresh water under that ranch…

                • ok ok we are all not sure what is going on but you do not hear anything about hawaii and the islands and creatures around there. That is what I want to know what is happening there. I know there is waste that is on the west coast but what is going on in Hawaii. ANybody know.

                • WOW! Take the time to listen to Dr. Helen Caldicott. This lady is right on! She has hit the nail on the head as to reality and what our problems are and will be if we don’t act NOW.

                • Dr. Helen Caldicutt… physician, author and anti nuclear activist… 0 reactor experience. Al Gore wannabe.

                  • One need not be a nuclear physicist to understand that it takes 10,000 years for nuclear waste from regular reactors to become “safe” or that the waste from breeder reactors takes 1,000 years to dissipate to a level where it is safe.

Until WE develop or discover a microbe that eats nuclear waste and excretes precious metal, ALL nuclear plants should be dismantled. That dozens of them are located upon known, dangerous earthquake faults is the pinnacle of folly.

Engage your employees or be nuked by them one waste dump at a time. 🙁

                  • DK. ever been to Hiroshima?

              • WestCoastLiberal.

Give you an A+ for effort. Do some more research on radiation decontamination.

Do not run your air condition or heat in a fallout situation. It will suck particles from the outside into your home.

                • No, they recycle air that’s already inside the home.

                  • Warrior Class lll

That is true they recycle air within the home. The problem is bad window and door seals. Sliding glass door? In a fallout situation these cracks can allow particles into the home. Even wind can force them through the cracks. The average home is not perfectly sealed.
If you have a single floor home consider the attic ventilation by air vents. Particle intrusion can happen by attic space ventilation where outside air is forced down between the sheetrock walls as per the electrical wire outlets. I have pulled the face plate off one outlet to feel air coming out on a windy day. A fireplace is another airway.
Of course the amount of outside contamination has a lot to do with it but once it is inside your home you could have a danger present.
You could argue there is not enough air pressure differential to cause harm. Yet all the decon and safety blogs, this procedure is mentioned.

            • pray

              • You address complaints against countries in the International Court. Japan is radiating the rest of the world with their carelessness. Radioactive constituents can be traced back to the exact source…

Why the hell has no other country filed a criminal complaint in the ICC, to force Japan to stop the contamination of their countries?

Why has no other country went to try and help stop the leaks, at least?

Because this disaster was caused by the FLAME virus and, it is part of the globalist depopulation agenda.

            • Move to the southern hemisphere

            • We shouldn’t be surprised that the government (theirs and ours) is NOT telling citizens the truth about the radiation from Fukushima.

As our oceans go, so goes the planet.

Here is some information they would prefer we don’t know.

Study: Dead sea creatures cover 98 percent of ocean floor off California coast; up from 1 percent before Fukushima

The “masses of dead sea creatures that sink to the ocean floor as food, has skyrocketed since the Fukushima incident occurred.”

“…multiple other stations located throughout the Pacific have since reported similar figures.”

              http://www.naturalnews.com/043380_Fukushima_radiation_ocean_life.html

              • A disaster of the magnitude that is in the making works in perfectly with the agenda of TPTB to control everything,
Declare state of emergency, revoke everyones rights, control food, control water, control movement…..

              • By 2030, there will be no human habitat available due to climate destabilization which none of you believe in. (If you add in self reinforcing feedback loops, it will occur even sooner!)

Climate is going bezeerk. Only a fool would fail to notice. Unstable climate means failed crops. Droughts everywhere out west, floods along the coast. Snow is evaporating from mountains, resulting in no water runoff in summers. (No way to drink or water crops). We’re toast.

                • It means the culmination of biblical prophecy…

                • ANON- the great lakes are produceing more ice than in thirty years. = less evaporation and more water.
It goes in cycles , dont get yer panties up in a bunch.

                  • Hammerhead, all the mountains all over the world are losing ice. Just between China and India, there will probably be nuclear war due to this (fighting over what little water is left). Research, look it up on the Internet.

Throughout history, the melt water from the mountains (snow accumulation) has provided water in the summer for drinking and agriculture. This is coming to an end. There will be no water out west. Look it up! (No way to run the cities).

                  • @anonymous

If I was posting nonsense like that I wouldn’t use a poster name either.

              • It’s impossible for 98% of the ocean bottom to be covered with dead sea creatures. There’s no proof. The density of life in the ocean is much too low for that to be possible.

                • It wasn’t the whole sea bottom, it was the sea bottom under this certain research station. The normal for them was 2%

            • Do? Sue the Japanese company and the Japanese government that’s what WE do!!!

If nothing else, discovery will force disclosure of the facts for the world to see. Can you say, “Transparency”? 🙂

              • I love a good class action suit! 🙂

              • It would be better to relocate Washington DC to a 10 square mile plot of land right on top of Fukushima.

Suing is the dumbest thing in the world to think about. Discovery would reveal nothing, and money can not repair the damage done. A colossal waste of time and resources.

Transparency? The only transparency that will come of it is when our bodies turn to skeletons that can be seen through.

I guess that’s what you get when you expect the corp to act according to what is right or wrong, when it has no sense of either. That is a human quality beyond the reach of a legal fiction.

Keep preaching the virtue of the corp, DK. One day you realize the error of your ways, and why we refuse to accept to it.

                • GC: I wasn’t preaching the virtue of the Corp. I was stating the right of free men to sue others at Law. That’s biblical.

Check your Bible and try not to step on your dick! 🙂

                  • the durango kidd says:

“Check your Bible and try not to step on your dick!”

The DK has spoken once again!!!

In other words: “Don’t let your dick get in the way of “State” worship.”

As patriots, we can’t have that!

                    USA… USA… USA…

                    *****************

                    Hey DK… F**K YOU!

                  • Yo mama: Hey asswipe!!! I was missing you!!! 🙂

            • Outlaw: “What else can we do?”

Radiation needs to be avoided. When you enter your home, leave shoes and outer clothes in an outer area. Wash your hands and exposed skin. The air is not so much of a problem in the US as the rain or snow ( or fog). Precipitation carries the radiation from the ocean right into our yards.
What you take into your body is far more damaging than what you encounter in the air or rain. So do not eat irradiated foods or drinks. Once inside you, it can not be removed and will damage you every second of the day.

Washing hands prior to eating will help. Wash garden produce if it has been raining.

I know it sounds a bit weak but that is all the professionals have ( other than relocation to the southern hemisphere and they do say to do that) and this is more than the government will tell you.

Be particularly careful about your childrens’ exposure and intake. They are still rapidly growing and so more at risk to cellular damage.

              • Thick garbage bags as for booties over shoes.
To keep wind blown radioactive material from attaching to your clothes. Medical gloves for dexterity but keeps it off your hands. Think disposable outer layer of protection.

                • We live in America. The tsunami hit Fukushima on March 11, 2011. That’s almost 3 years ago. There hasn’t been any impact on the West Coast and there won’t be in the future. It’s all fear mongering.

                  • Hope you are right Barn Cat.

                  • You really need to get some perspective.

                  • The foating garbage from Japan will be here soon.

                  • ok ok we are all not sure what is going on but you do not hear anything about hawaii and the islands and creatures around there. That is what I want to know what is happening there.

                • Buy the booties bowlers use to not get their shoes wet in the bathrooms.

              • check out boron.

            • Maybe just get soused like this old guy:

An elderly man was stopped by the police at 2 A.M. and was asked where he was going at that time of night.

The old man replied “I’m on my way to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effect it has on the human body as well as smoking and staying out late”.

The officer then ask “Really? Who’s giving that lecture at this time of night?”

              The man replied,

              “That would be my wife”.

            • You don’t need potassium iodide to deal with what is arriving now. The half-life of iodine-131 is just over 8 days, after ten half-lives there is little left, and this stuff has been at sea for 2 years.

You might need it in the future, for some other event – but not for what is arriving now.

              • i know VERY little about radiation, but i DO know there are 4 different KINDS of radiation, and there are many different materials used in nuke plants…so to say iodine-131..blah blah blah…is very shortsighted and doesn’t address the NUMEROUS OTHER kinds of radiation that has THOUSAND-year life-cycles, no? just asking?

                • Your right and the KI tabs are only for radioactive iodine. Theres also KIO3. New medical info says these pills arent recommended for people over 40. Ill put that link on here so check back later.

I posted a link in mod now but its got articles that cover the kinds of radiation and how to shield yourself. Maybe itll show up in a few hours.

Another site is ki4u dot com and its pretty damn good (commercial site) though. They calibrate rad meters.

Radiations a real complex science and most folks think a pill will solve the problem. Those KI pills are only for the iodide and thats it. Good to see you understand theres a bunch of elements that emit radiation. No quick fixes for strontium or cesium so distances and avoidance and shielding are some of the best things we can do.

Homes can be sealed up from the inside to wait out any initial fallout or precip. What we use to seal windows and doors needs to be disposed of and no one ever mentions that or any clothing that was exposed. Burial is the only way and once in the ground far away, never disturbed.

Theres some good basic stuff at wiki folks who are interested in could read. Serious preppers should expand what they know and be really prepped for these things. Maybe a few articles on ac ute radiation syndrome would open some eyes. Anyway, check stuff like radioactive isotope or radioactive decay and youll get into some specifics. Alpha, beta, gamma. Your on the right track, brother.

                • Iodine 131 and those KI pills are no longer recommended for folks over 40 yrs of age

                  http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/csem/csem.asp?csem=23&po=11

Course this is the govt and they dont say where the info has come from. Maybe its legit, naybe not.

                • so, to further my point i just saw dr richard davis on infowars and he says we must use same types of measuring equipment to measure same TYPES of radiation..and to not pay to much attention to ONE place or measurement at a time, but collectively it will mean something…he alluded to why it looks like a coverup because when someone says “i got so and so radiation measurement at this place/time”…then someone says…oh, “THAT measurement isn’t anything meaningful, use this OTHER measurement or equipment”…you see, they keep dodging around saying things aren’t bad because people are measuring in wrong place or the wrong equipment or they measure the wrong TYPE of radiation….it’s all VERY complex, and that’s what the gubmints are banking on to buy time forrrr?…can-kicking, that’s what they do BEST! by the time it’s OBVIOUS, tepco will be loooong gone!

            • Potassium iodide (KI) will not help you with radiation that you might be exposed to from Fukushima. KI is used to block uptake of radioiodine by your thyroid by basically filling your thyroid with non radioactive KI. Radioactive iodine, specifically iodine 131 (I-131) has an 8 day half life. It has been over 2 years since the Fukushima accident. There is no I-131 left. You do not need to take KI. It is only useful if you take it BEFORE exposure. If you take it after exposure the effectiveness drops. In fact recent studies show that if you are over 40 years old, you do not need to take it all.

            • WARNING: do not take iodine pills unless you truly have dangerously elevated I-131 levels confirmed in your environment. Free iodine ions from iodine pills will override an important regulation mechanism in the thyroid leading to excess thyroid hormone output. The body will respond with self-destruction of your thyroid induced by antibodies. This is called Hasimoto’s disease. My wife got that because she took iodine pills for health and well-being. It is smart to keep a stash of iodine pills at hand just in case the whole fu*kusihma crap blows up again or the molten cores hit ground water and produce radioactive geysirs, but taking these pills in panic mode without significant I-131 really being around you may actually damage your health and you won’t have them anymore when you really need them.

              • Addendum: I-131 has a half-life of only 8 days. There should be no danger from I-131 anymore here in the US that came from the inital blast / fire in Fukushima three years ago. We do not know yet whether it continues to release I-131 in significant amounts to contaminate the air in the US to any dangerous level. It is a shame no one seems to take responsibility to measure I-131 here in the US and honestly report the findings to the public. Just having a Geiger counter ticking more then usual is *no* reason to take iodine pills. Don’t panic. I know what I am talking about, I had to live for 25 years in a EU country seriously hit by Tschernobyl fallout and other than measuring my food with a Geiger counter to avoid the really bad stuff, I did nothing, at no iodine pills and I am still perfectly healthy.

                • I didn’t know you can measure food using a geiger counter. What did it have to register before it was too dangerous to eat? Would that work with drinking water as well??? Thanks!

                • In Romania there has been a wave of deaths from fast developing digestive system cancers in the 1990’s. People died one month after feeling well, two weeks after diagnosed. Of course only a small fraction of the population died back then. In case of irradiation two healthy generations guarantee that the problem is gone. However, in the case of Chernobyl we have contamination, and this has to go before we can begin to think that we are through. Chernobyl released radioactive isotopes throughout the periodic elements table. Some of them have a short half life of less than a second, some of them have a long half life of millions of years. Some of long lived elements enter the human body metabolism and sit in bones longer than a person lives.

            • Pray.

          • If anyone is thinking about buying Potassium iodide pills, but hasn’t yet. I encourage you to BUY IT NOW!

I believe more and more people are becoming aware and concerned about the increased levels of radiation.

A friend planning to buy some looked on Amazon last Friday and there were numerous sellers and lots of stock. A number of those sellers are now SOLD OUT. Yes, it is still available. If you plan to order some, do it SOON.

            • To KY Mom and everyone else, go to http://www.ki4u.com. They carry potassium iodide pills, Geiger counters, etc. They also have a ton of good useful information concerning radiation, etc. They’ve been around for quite awhile. No Johnny-come-lately. They were one of the few people back before Y2K warning about nuclear terrorism, the missing ‘suitcase nukes’, etc. so they know their business.

              • Thanks for the link RBH

              • I got mine about a year ago and recently added some more.

              • I posted this on the other site…hope it helps someone and their families.

Some states choose to keep supplies and a lady I spoke with online sent me the liquid form; she said in New York, they were just handed out on street corners after Fukushima disaster.

Directions are easily found online if labels damaged–I wrote the directions for the iodine, the potassium iodate tablets, and the liquid form(raspberry taste), just in case and stored with the items in the vacuum sealed package.

Thank you for the link! They have lots of information there.

                Take care!
                KY Mom

                • Ky Mom, you are most welcome, ma’am. I’ve dealt with them once before and they are the real deal. the information they have is very interesting and enlightening.

            • I ordered Potassium Iodide from Amazon 4 days ago. Today it is priced 40% higher from the same seller.

            • Too bad they won’t negate the cescium or strontium. Sorry folks but those were MOX fuel reactors; all nasty manmade weaponized crap. They have no use in energy.
Now I want to know if this Israeli rumour has any evidence.

              • there are 2 processes to remove cesium, one is very expensive and complicated, the other is resonable but less effective as the madia cannot be regenerated, it has to be buried or dumped in DC.Also Boron panels will help block/absorb radiation which you can easily make.

        • When I was a little kid, I accidently
burned down the neighbor girls playhouse
          next door playing with matches.

Kind of reminds me of mans experimentation
with big peoples nuclear matches. De-ja vu.

          • Gunner, you devil. your childhood sounds something like mine was.

          • Gunner

Funny… When I was a little kid I burned down my parents garage playing with gas and matches.

            My pops was pretty pissed.

            Hince my nickname,

            wrong

            • Hey when I was a kid I burned up my grandmas bedroom playing with a lighter under the bed. Who knew that film on the bottom of mattresses was so damn flammable. I denied it until I was an adult and when I finally fessed up she still slapped me upside the head. I love that woman lol

              • When I was a kid mayor Wilson Goode of Philadelphia thought is was a good idea to drop a bomb on a rowhouse rooftop that had gasoline on it and burned down 60 homes, he got away with it, just like Obama gets away with everything. Could you imagine if the mayor was a white man burning down a black neighborhood…I’m not prejudice, I’m just saying

        • In the service industry. We refer to it as afro engineering, for you non-PC types. 🙂

          • “Afro engineering”, hell it’s “presidential inspiration” now

            • “obama rig”

              • Just for the record…

I had nothing to do with this mess…and this is what Clancy was really talking about in The Sum Of All Fears…
Gee… and where is HE now… take care… all of you.

          • Hee hee hee, afro-engineering is the PC term

        • You can also call this a depopulation scenario, for you Agenda 21 types.

          • I really dont think events like this are part of the “agenda” – after all, if the earth starts glowing no one will make it. Those who promote a massive reduction in the worlds population want it to happen in such a way that they and their elite co-conspirators are left untouched.

            Aussie

        • Does this mean that “Deadliest Catch” is going to be even more deadly this year? I would not want to be on the crab boats. Or has the radiation stayed away from the Bering Sea. Are there elevated levels in Alaska? How have the Alaska salmon runs been affected? Never hear about that, do we?

        • This situation is a complete and utter political cover up because they cannot do anything to stop it. More people will die from this world wide before it is all said and done. Yet we are fed B.S. stories of global warming and Dennis Rodman, who gives a crap, going to N. Korea stories to amuse the masses.

In case anyone here has not noticed the shit has hot the fan just not in the ways we have predicted. The stock market is a joke, the unemployment figures are a joke, the immigration mess is a joke, the trillion’s of unfunded liabilities is a joke, the lies spewing out of Washington are a joke. And yet we are not able to find a source of real and PRACTICAL news.

Something has to be done and it has to be soon or we (all of us world wide) are soon to be toast and no matter how much prepping any of us do we will all die. How hard is that for people to understand? The SHTF already!

          BigB

          • Except, I still have a job, I can still afford to live in my home, I can afford to eat. There is food on the grocery store shelves. There is gas to be had at the station. The people in my community don’t kill each other. My neighbors’ aren’t prostituting themselves. I have not been threatened by anyone, or robbed, or…

BigB, either we live in very different worlds or you don’t have any understanding of what SHTF is. You should learn to count your blessings while they are there.

After there is no food on the shelves or gas in the pumps, after I have killed my second home invader (the first could always be a coincidence) then it will be SHTF. Until then, all this “It has already happened” talk is laughable at best, and frankly just sounds like ungrateful spoiled American whining. Try to remember you have it better than about 70% of everybody on the planet.

            • Careful dude, your grasp of reality will have labeled a libtard by these deluded sheeple.

              • ncjoe, f#$% you!

                • Yet another “AA” meeting SHOT to hell aye brave renegade ?

                  • North Memphis Jabrony, f#$% you!

            • I think there is a balance between both of you gentlemen — we can see the writing on the wall – that we are headed for national and worldwide disaster, it is inevitable.

Yes, most of us in the United States have it pretty good but we can’t let today’s full bellies blind us to the fact that we are racing off a cliff.

The disaster (economic, political, environmental) has already happened, the consequences are just rolling in slow motion.

Give thanks for today and the comforts and prosperity we have, for they are temporary.

Whatever happens, the grace of God is sufficient for all your needs, as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

            • @DD,

I hear violin music coming from your post while the rest of the world burns. Or is it that because your neighbor got laid off from his job it is recession until it is you that lost his job and now it is a depression.

With all respect for you I tell you that I am in the upper echelon of that 70% but that doesn’t mean I don’t see the hand writing on the wall for all of us unless there are some major changes in the very near future.

Not whining (not yet) just keeping it real.

              BigB

            • dummydoo..that is PRECISELY WHY we are in such deep doodoo. because too many people like you THINK everything’s ok, while the world around you crumbles. right here in my OWN HOUSE i got 3 of you, including my wife. i been waiting for 8 YEARS since the housing bubble popped for this excrement to contact the mass of rotating twisted metal. you could chisel it in stone what was about to happen, but americans will ALWAYS do what’s RIGHT after exhausting ALL OTHER POSSIBILITIES! we could have hit the reset button back then and it might not have been the end of our country. but now we have tripled our debt(you know,….that stuff we have to PAY BACK) to the point that a collapse is absolutely inevitable. every day i get up and turn on the news to see if the stock market has begun it’s fall. but instead of eating our cooking back in 07, we decide to can-kick to infinity(and beyond)…there WILL BE an end to it, and all that’s left to get this ball rollin’ is a catalyst. i will bet a well-functioning appendix, 20 bucks, and two of my front teeth against a 5 dollar bill that if just a COUPLE of these things that are going on had happened ten years ago the markets would have crashed and it all would have been OVER! at least more are waking from their stupor every day, seeing what’s about to happen….or as was said ALREADY happened. it’s a slow-motion train wreck! and as japan fiddles, the WORLD BURNS! aw, hell with this crap! i’m going to McDonalds to put a milkshake on layaway!

              • “i been waiting for 8 YEARS since the housing bubble popped for this excrement to contact the mass of rotating twisted metal. you could chisel it in stone what was about to happen”

Then I guess we are in perfect agreement. The shit has not hit the fan. Anyone who says it already has, does not understand how bad things can get.

                Until then… keep ’em dry.

                • but look at the very bad changes we have endured in the 8 years. lost freedoms, mounting debt, corruption at every turn…from prez/congressmen all the way to fed and bankers. loss of manufacturing base/jobs…if you were in 2000 and looked at a future 2014 and saw these things…i betcha a LOT of people would say the shit done hit the FAN somewhere between 2000 and 2014! yes, i’m still waiting for SOMETHING, i just don’t know WHEN,,,,OR what?

                  • Ok, I don’t expect anyone to read this. But I guess I feel like wasting some time. I am by no stretch the eternal optimist. As far as the future of this country goes I am definitely in the Glass half full camp. That enormous debt and direction of the central government has me worried for my 2 sons under 5 years old.

But I also can’t stand the endless daily alarmism. You say put yourself back in 2000 and look ahead to 2014. Well to tell you the truth, in 2000 (or just before) I thought there was a real chance that Y2K bug issues would cause all sorts of disruption in this country. I made sure I was with family and friends in the middle of the country rather than in California where I was living at the time. Didn’t happen, false alarm, daily living went on much the same. Then a year later I watched the world trade towers come down and paid a lot of attention to the anthrax bioterror. I wondered what the hell would be happening next. Dirty bombs? Nukes? I was a very angry person back then. But… Nothing happened, daily living went on much the same. I had a pack and was ready and able to bug out when SARS hit in 2002/2003. But… Nothing happened, daily living went on much the same. In 2008 collapse of Lehman Bros. financial world freezes up, I was newly married, pregnant wife, just moved, new job. Luckily I had food stores, wilderness skills, lots of short term preps, had been reading prepper blogs for a couple of years, I had even purposely moved to a part of the country that would be very stable. But… Nothing happened, daily living went on much the same.

After a while if you are not so F*@cking thick headed, a person should realize “Hey I am no good at predicting the future. I can’t seem to understand why people just keep on keeping on no matter what happens.” Then you start looking into history and hell man you see we in the US have lived in a time of amazing peace, incredible stability, we have a pretty resilient economy, immense physical wealth…

So I’ve lost all my faith that the world is coming to an end.

Does that mean I am not prepared, nope it is too easy and economical to keep doing what I’m doing. My family can eat out of our well stocked pantry for months. I can shoot many more rounds then I’ll ever get a chance to if bad guys are actually shooting back. Etc. etc. etc. So do I think your list of grievances since 2008 mean that the world MUST to come to a bloody end in the next few months. Nope. PROBABLY not going to happen, daily life will PROBABLY go on much the same. If not I will be prepared, but I will no longer be a true believer that the signs have been correctly interpreted that the prophecy is fulfilled and that Fukishema will give the entire world cancer in the next two weeks.

Fool me the first decade shame on you, fool me the second decade and its shame on me. I’m doing my best not to be such a DumbDude

                  • “Glass half empty” is what I meant to say.

          • BigB, You are exactly correct. Your complaints about the lies from the gov. and the commie news are much like my own. “Something has to be done and it has to be soon” is on us. If you are waiting for the armchair patriots to do anything you may as well dig a 6ft hole and jump in. I personally have been doing anything I can think of to cause the current system problems. I now will not comply with any part of it. Barter for all you can, use cash whenever you can’t barter. Fabricate all you can yourself. Whenever your around liberals use the word libtard, they really like it and it will help bring on the reset and that is the goal and answer – RESET.

do you , your kids , grand kids OR ANYONE ELSE have 30,000 years to wait for it to stop polluting radiating the Pacific ocean , ZOG AmeriKa and weaken ???

basically ZOG AmeriKa is going to become radiation cancer central , especially the West Coast and Alaska .

Everyone will get cancer eventually of one form or another .

AS WE ALL CARRY IT CANCER IN OUR BODIES DAILY . IT’S CONSTANTLY FORMING IN OUR BODIES AND BEING DESTROYED BY OUR AUTO IMMUNE SYSTEMS AT THE CELLULAR LEVELS .

EVENTUALLY THE HUMAN BODY WEARS OUT GETS OLD , JUST CAN’T KEEP UP WITH IT AND IT CANCER TAKES OVER THE BODY .

I HOPE YOU ALL ARE LEARNING HOW TO STOP CANCER NATURALLY AND EATING NON-RADIATED RAW NATURAL VEGAN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE .

THESE COMMERCIAL POTASSIUM IODIDE PILLS ARE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE OR ARE IN DANGER OF BEING HEAVILY DOSED WITH RADIATION. 130 MILLIGRAMS OF IODINE IS AN OVERDOSE IN ANY OTHER CASE. THE MOST YOU NEED IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA IS 10 MILLIGRAMS PER DAY FOR ADULT OR ONE OR TWO MILLIGRAMS FOR SMALL CHILDREN, AND THAT IS ONLY IF YOU ARE IN DANGER OF SOME REAL FALLOUT. • Kulafarmer, now you’re talking. You’re making me hungry.

          • Ah hell NO, at one time my dad had received been exposed to the largest dose of radiation on record at what is today called the Idaho Nuclear Laboratory, near Arco, ID. Years later he was exposed again to radiation at Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM. He lived to be 76, was in good health, and cancer FREE. Unlike his dad who died of pancreatic cancer. Then lets think about all the guys exposed to radiation in the Pacific nuclear tests. An unusually high rate of cancer per capita? I think not. Then there are those terrible meatatarians who make that lifestyle choice and eat ANIMAL PROTEIN, OMG? A hig rate attributed to MEAT? HA. Keep grazing that seaweed and picking up those heavy metals and other pollutants in the ocean. I’m off to grab a BIG, JUICY HAMBURGER:-)

            • Jasmine, I’ve been a meateater all of my life and will be for the rest of it. I’ve always heard never touch red meat. Well, I’ve been eating red meat in modest amounts since I was 4 years old and I’m 56 now [I’ll be 57 in March] and I’m still in good health, still going strong. plus I recently quit smoking, another big thing in my favor. I’ve always heard that people should have a combination of the five different food groups. I think these 100% vegan people have been misled. Enjoy that burger; hell I’ll probably get one tonight myself.

In July, Alaskan ringed seals began beaching themselves on the Arctic coastline, where they soon died. Worse yet: In subsequent months, their numbers have only increased. Puzzled biologists believe the phenomenon is being triggered by an unknown virus. “We’re kind of in the dark at this point,” says Bruce Woods, a spokesman for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. What’s going on? Here’s what we do know:

As far as symptoms go, the animals are suffering from “bleeding lesions on [their] hind flippers, loss of fur, and skin irritation around the nose and eyes.” How many seals has the disease claimed so far?At least 46 seals have died from the “mysterious” disease, says Stephen Messenger of Treehugger, and “150 others appear to be infected.”

But that’s not all: Alex DeMarban of Alaska Dispatch says that the “bizarre, festering sores” are also showing up on local walruses, with scientists estimating that up to 600 of the tusked creatures may be infected. This is particularly troubling because the Pacific walrus population is only “100,000 strong” and is currently “being considered for protections under the Endangered Species Act.”

          • Three Mile Island a study – 25 Years Later

On March 28, 1979, America experienced its worst nuclear accident – a partial meltdown of the reactor core at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant near Middletown, Pennsylvania. During the tension-packed week that followed, sketchy reports and conflicting information led to panic, and more than one hundred thousand residents, mostly children and pregnant women, fled the area.

Early on the morning of March 28, several water-coolant pumps failed on the second reactor at Three Mile Island (TMI-2), causing the reactor to overheat.

The reactor shut itself down eight seconds later, but the core temperature continued to rise because valves controlling the emergency cooling water were stuck closed.

Sixteen hours later, the core was finally flooded and its temperature brought under control. By this time, half of the core had melted, and part of it had disintegrated, although it was years before scientists actually discovered that a meltdown had occurred. TMI-2 had only been in operation for 90 days when the accident occured.

On March 30, later known as “Black Friday,” rumors circulated about an uncontrolled release of radiation from the plant and Pennsylvania’s governor ordered the evacuation of children and pregnant women living within 5 miles of the plant. Later, it was learned that the release had been planned to ease pressure within the system.

On April 2, 1979, five days after the meltdown, the crisis at Three Mile Island was officially declared to be over.

Although TMI-2’s containment held and only minimal radioactive material was released, the reactor was heavily contaminated. No one could enter the plant for two years.

The TMI-2 reactor was eventually entombed in concrete and TMI-1 was restarted in 1986.

Impact of the Three Mile Island Disaster
A combination of equipment failure, human error, and bad luck, the nuclear accident at Three Mile Island stunned the nation and permanently changed the nuclear industry in America. Even though it led to no immediate deaths or injuries to plant workers or members of the nearby community, the TMI accident had a devastating impact on the nuclear power industry – the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has not reviewed an application to build a new nuclear power plant in the United States since. It also brought about sweeping changes involving emergency response planning, reactor operator training, human factors engineering, radiation protection, and many other areas of nuclear power plant operations.

Health Effects of Three Mile Island
Various studies on health effects, including a 2002 study conducted by the University of Pittsburgh, have determined the average radiation dose to individuals near Three Mile Island at the time of the meltdown was about 1 millirem – much less than the average, annual, natural background dose for residents of the central Pennsylvania region. Twenty-five years later, there has been no significant rise in cancer deaths among residents living near the Three Mile Island site.

*** A new analysis of health statistics in the region conducted by the Radiation and Public Health Project has, however, found that death rates for infants, children, and the elderly soared in the first two years after the Three Mile Island accident in Dauphin and surrounding counties. ***

          • Have you researced a substance known as DCA? The University of Alnerta, usingnpoublic funding, says this DCA is very promising for shrinking cancer cells.

            • @Tyler Durden … thank you .

              solid info

              -Dichloroacetic acid DCA-

              Potential cancer applications

Cancer cells generally express increased glycolysis, because they rely on anaerobic respiration that occurs in the cytosol (lactic acid fermentation) rather than oxidative phosphorylation in the mitochondria for energy (the Warburg effect), as a result of hypoxia that exists in tumors and malfunctioning mitochondria.

Usually dangerously damaged cells kill themselves via apoptosis, a mechanism of self-destruction that involves mitochondria, but this mechanism fails in cancer cells.

A phase I study published in January 2007 by researchers at the University of Alberta, who had tested DCA on human cancer cells grown in mice, found that DCA restored mitochondrial function, thus restoring apoptosis, allowing cancer cells to self-destruct and shrink the tumor.

These results received extensive media attention, beginning with an article in New Scientist titled “Cheap, ‘safe’ drug kills most cancers”. Subsequently, the American Cancer Society and other medical organizations have received a large volume of public interest and questions regarding DCA.

Clinical trials in humans with cancer have not been conducted in the USA and are not yet final in Canada, emphasizing the need for caution in interpreting the preliminary results.

        • I grew up on a Uranium mine. I have 6 brothers and sisters and a rash of other relatives that lived there with us. They closed the mine in the 1980’s and everyone left. Today there are signs all over the place that you can spend no more than 1 hour per year there? None of my family has ever had any health problems. The giger counter is a constant buzz but still, here we are happy and healthy as can be. I think it is mostly scare tatics. Im sure there is a point where the radiation will cause problems but it is much higher than people realize or are told to believe.

          • I think you and your family are lucky as hell—radiation contamination IS NO JOKE…and IT IS REAL.

            • Yeah! read about Faluga, where they used uranium in Bush’s illegal war– babies born with only one eye, no arms, etc. Really scary stuff!

          • Joe; I can hear your mother now’ ” And I don’t want you playing with those kids by the asbestos plant, that stuff is dangerous”!!!!

            • Joe and Bass now you guys are living dangerously, that stuff your talking about will kill you, if you get within a 100 miles of it. Asbestos, man when I was in the Navy we tore out tons of that stuff when my ship was in drydock and now if I hike two miles from 6000 ft. to 8,000ft. in about an hour, I get winded. Now Mercury what kid didn’t have a big ole drop of that stuff to roll around in their hand, think maybe thats why my skin is so dry. Now lead we know how deadly that can be, thats why we stock up on ammo. If your over 50 you grew up in a house that had lead paint all over it, lead pipes and even your tooth paste came in lead tubes. But now we’re all safe all we have to worry about is Global Warming, I think it was -25 in Riverton last night.Trekker Out. Thank You EPA!

          • @joe … moron much ???

            you’re a liar . ;0p

            * Radon Gas and “Radon Daughters”

From the start, radioactive radon gas and radon “daughters” in the air were suspected as the cause of the lung cancer. Radiation can be thought of like invisible radio waves (only radio waves are harmless) or like specks of dust so tiny they are invisible. We estimated how much of the radon daughters each miner was exposed to by a unit called the working level month. We then looked to see if death rates increased with higher working level months.

This exposure-response relationship is strong evidence of an association between disease and exposure. It is used to show that the longer a miner is exposed to radon gas, the greater may be the risk of lung cancer.
            Results for White Uranium Miners

The study looked at all causes of death. Only the causes of death listed below were significantly above normal. The results for all other causes of death were within the normal range.
            Lung cancer

We found strong evidence for an increased risk for lung cancer in white uranium miners. We expected about 64 deaths, but found 371. This means we found about 6 times more lung cancer deaths than expected.

There was an exposure-response relationship with exposure to radon daughters in the mines. When radon daughters are breathed in, they decay radioactively in the lung. This can cause lung cancer.
            Pneumoconiosis

We also found strong evidence for pneumoconiosis, a type of lung disease (other than cancer) which is caused by dust. We expected less than 2 deaths, but found 41. There were about 24 times more of these deaths than expected.

This category includes silicosis, a disease caused by breathing in a particular mining dust, silica. Silicosis causes scarring of the lung and severe breathing problems. The risk of these lung diseases was greater the longer miners had worked in the mine.
            Tuberculosis

We expected to see about 3 ½ deaths from the infectious lung disease tuberculosis (TB), but we saw 13. This is about 4 times more deaths than expected. This could have been related to the silicosis. People with silicosis are more likely to get TB.
            Emphysema

We expected to see about 22 ½ deaths from emphysema but found 56. This is 2 ½ times more deaths than expected. Some of this result could have been related to cigarette smoking. People who smoke are more likely to get emphysema.
            Injuries

We expected to see about 68 deaths from injuries and found 143. This is over 2 times more deaths than expected.
Benign cancers and diseases of the blood

We also saw a greater risk of deaths from the categories “benign and unspecified cancers” and “diseases of the blood”. Both of these categories had small numbers of deaths. Therefore, it is possible that the increased risk may not be due to mining.
            All deaths

Finally, we saw a greater risk for “all deaths combined”. We expected 986 deaths and found 1,595. This is 1 ½ times more deaths than expected.

            ;0p

            see link …

            • NO,
Looks like you’ve plagiarized someone’s research. As one who has done scientific research, and who has been published after peer review, I can say confidently that you need to credit your sources.

This is some of what you printed:
“We expected to see about 3 ½ deaths from the infectious lung disease tuberculosis (TB), but we saw 13”

“We expected to see about 22 ½ deaths from emphysema but found 56” ( a 1/2 a death, is that like being kinda pregnant?) I digress,

“We expected to see about 68 deaths from injuries and found 143”

“We expected 986 deaths and found 1,595. This is 1 ½ times more deaths than expected”

The fact that there were more deaths than “expected” may simply mean their expectations were wrong. It does not mean that the deaths were higher than they should be. Case in point, Al Gore said we could “expect” to see the Arctic Ocean free of ice by 2013, didn’t happen, and in fact the amount of ice dramatically increased. Clearly his models were and are way off to the side of being wrong.

              • @Jasmine,,,
The global warming thing isnt what lots of people envision,
Were not gonna see palm trees and bikinis on the Jersy shore in January,
Some of the research indicates that the slight raise in the earths atmosphere (only around 1-2 degrees) will cause extremes, but these extremes have also been seen at other times throughout history with no help from man!
                SO
                Global warming caused by man?
Natural fluctuations in weather patterns and temperatures because of God knows what all?
Sorta like the food thing, it is quite subjective,, I like filet mingnon, Nina O s Mom likes vegan fare,,,,
This is also a reflection on what is going on in our society,, nobody can agree on a n y t h i n g
Because they all think their view or opinion is right!
Not a lot of agreeing to disagree going on, is also why we see the wild swings in politics these days,,,

                • One thing I think we can agree on, I don’t think we’ll see palm trees and bikinis on the Jersey shore. I don’t want to think of Gov. Christy strolling by in a Speedo on the Jersey shore.

            • Radio waves aren’t as harmless as you believe.

          • There’s a very interesting program on the PBS show “Nature” called “Radioactive Wolves”. It’s about life in Chernobyl and how well all the animals are doing. You can see the whole thing on youtube.

      2. Yep this is a bad situation that’s only going to continue to get worse & worse & worse. And of course everyone including the US is going to just cover it up instead of trying to help with some kind solution (if there is one). What a great ole place we live in nowadays !!! Big old toilet fixing to be flushed soon in the near future !

      3. Sushi anyone?

      4. Mac,any update on the forum based site that was talked about awhile back ?

      5. Good time to plan for that garden expansion this year, especially with temps well-below freezing.
Note to self, buy more canning jars.

        • yep , expand the garden , BUT dont forget to can your cheaper cuts of meat as well. , they are more tender when canned.
If you are on the left coast this would give you some non radiated meat in your preps .not to mention having meat in a grid down situation , have you all been payin attention to the strain on the grid system ?
The EPA needs to shut more coal plants , DUH .

      6. If the “mainstream” media monkeys don’t legitimize it, it must be untrue. On the flipside, you don’t see Diane Sawyer over there doing an onsite expose’ do you? Am thankful all my relatives are gone from the left coast………

      7. I have an ex girlfriend in California with her pet parrot.. that thing never shut the fuck up.

        but the bird was cool.

        • Caliber, that was good about the ex. I almost choked on a snack I was having.

        • lmfao!!!!

        • LMFAO too….AFTER reading braveheart’s COMMENT…i had missed what you actually said…now i gotta use it for MY girlfriend’s parrot story….hers died a year or so ago after spending 25 years together..THAT thing NEVER SHUT UP either!hee hee..anyways, i gotta share my wifes tatoo joke with you guys….when i see a person with a tatoo, i always ask about it…then i tell them about my WIFE’S tatoo of a wolf on her back..then i tell them….they SAY it used to be a chihuahua!…gets a laugh most every time!

          • of course, SHE has never heard that joke! thanks for your concern for my LIFE, everyone…hee hee. good thing she don’t head SHTFPLAN!

      8. Good ol’e duct tape, a preppers best friend!

        • Yeah, but a prepper wouldn’t be stupid enough to try to plug up a leak on a nuclear reactor with it…a meth-head might, but…

          just saying.

        • Yeah, sounds like Caliber shoulda used some on the girlfriend.

      9. Five times background radiation is not “through the roof.” If it were wood stoves, kerosine heaters, and gas ranges would be illegal because they emit carbon monoxide several times the background level. Compare the radiation levels to what was determined to be an acceptable level long before we even heard the name Fukishima and ignore readings where there was no base reading to compare with.

        • You can’t even begin to compare soot with radioactive particles.

          • Of course we have to assume they had those counters calibrated to a particular isotope. The stuff from Fukushima was not the kind found in nature.

            • Tyler Durden…..Tyler Durden from ZeroHedge?

Sorry if you all have asked this question already…

              PKLauLau

          • 6…apparently when you work for the govt it is acceptable to make up rules/anything out of thin air.

GG what a bunch of bs…your post doesn’t even make sense.

            • like twitter, IT don’t make SENSE either!

        • Oh, it’s you again!

          • Renig I still think your a troll acting like my Cuz. Hey Cuz if thats you, whats your maiden name, then I’ll know if its you.

        • Eisafruit, for you shaved tail yonkers who are still shittin’ green…..eat me, I’m a cookie.

        • What no Nine Inch Nails or Marilyn Manson?

          Aaaaaaaaaaarrrgh, Rock on!

        • welcome back punk.

      10. This sounds wrong at so many levels, but if you have to evacuate a LOT of people anyway, why not take advantage of the evacuations and nuke the defective reactor once everyone is out of the area? If it’s as bad as everyone says it is, surely someone must be entertaining the idea of how minimal a device would be needed to ‘fix the glitch.’ The irony is crazy–but surely some physics brain is calculating the costs of doing that versus the repercussions of letting the site fix itself for over the next 40 years.

      11. Calc rads per worker task. Give 4 bolts to one and then month outside rad area. 4 bolts to another crew and month out. Nuke plants even have rads cost allowed to retrieve body etc.

      12. South America on the Atlantic coast looks to be the safest place. I think I might as well go to Texas, make some cash in the oil trade then maybe get a place around Belize or someplace. There are a lot of affordable places yet if a guy is to hurry.

        • Down under is the place .02 – before anything gets below the equator it circles the top half a few times. Very diluted before we see it. But eventually there wont be a square foot on the planet that doesnt have some fallout from FU Shima on it (probably Chernobyl has also contaminated those same square feet too).

This could be the end of mankind – enough reactors in the world to turn Earth in a green glow if they ever meltdown – and that could happen if a pandemic/EMP/financial meltdown happened so the reactors worldwide were not maintained.

          Aussie

      13. The $200 Billion Rip-Off: Our ZOG AmeriKa’s broadband future was stolen.

This is part three of my explanation of how America went from having the fastest and cheapest Internet service in the world to what we have today — not very fast, not very cheap Internet service that is hurting our ability to compete economically with the rest of the world. Part one detailed expected improvements in U.S. broadband based on emerging competitive factors, yet decried that it was too little too late. Part two explained how U.S. broadband ISPs are different from most overseas ISPs and how those differences make it unlikely that we’ll ever regain leadership in this space. And this week’s final part explains that this all came about because Americans were deceived and defrauded by many of their telephone companies to the tune of $200 billion — money that was supposed to have gone to pay for a broadband future we don’t — and never will — have.

          • NinaO, I just had an obscene thought. why don’t we just give eisenkreuz to some jews to play with? eisen would wish he was dead.

            • lol ;0)

naw bad idea … knowing da’ jeeews they’ll probly make him israehells next president … then he’ll have real nukes to play with and a cowardly jeeew army to terrorize the world with .

        • Eisen, you can help save the planet and do all of us a favor: GO KILL YOURSELF! You come on here and start promoting the NWO agenda thinking you know what’s best for us? YOU DON’T KNOW SHIT FROM SHINOLA! what we really need is a ban on trolls like you, so go f#$% yourself!

            Aussie

            • Howdy, Aussie. I had to make a change in my name to get comments to go through on this site due to technical problems beyond my control. I’m a renegade anyway, so what the hell? I quit smoking during the last half of November and winding down on the withdrawal symptoms. It was a bitch but I reached my goal. I feel great for the first time since I was a wild and crazy teenager. How about yourself, mate? what have you been up to?

              • Ahhhhhh, so THATS why you were so …. ummmmm …….. direct with the trolls – you were going through nicotine withdrawal? Good for you, giving up the coffin nails! You are one of the guys we’ll be depending on come the apocolypse y’know.

All well enough down here Brave, still watching global events carefully and wondering when the meltdown will reach critical mass.

              • You loser. I hope you get lung cancer.

                • Eisenpuke, I doubt it; sorry to disappoint you. Just recently had a checkup and I was given a clean bill of health. for 56, I feel really good. plus, I’m not a f#$%in loser, despite what you think, which I don’t give a shit about anyway. Oh, did I tell you to go f#$% yourself yesterday? Yeah, I sure did. Just checking. so again, go f#$% yourself!

          • Braveheart,

Low the blood pressure. Eisenkruetz is the kind of person who only seems to repeat things that he has read in books or seen on MSNBC. People like that are incapable of original thought. Pity them, simply because (RON WHITE). 😉

            • What?, thank you for the concern, but surprisingly my blood pressure didn’t go up this time. I’ve had 2 trolls today so my day ends on a perfect note.

          • ReNig you gota be a troll, cause my Cuz braveheart wouldn’t talk like that. but then again you may not be a troll cause you do spell f#$% yourself just like my Cuz braveheart.

            • NGIC, the idiot part of the name you post under fits you just right.

        • Eisenkruetz,

Your entire perspective may change, as well as your anxiety issues, if you stop using those mini cacti as suppositories. Just rip that sumbitch outta there, and in a few months, maybe you’ll feel better. I have no first hand knowledge of this, but I’m sure it’ll hurt to try. 🙂

        • I don’t think it’s all “old people” who are using the electricity, Sonnie. We do appreciate air conditioning and the internet, but I can do without an I-Pad/Pod, the newest smart phone and have never watched an episode of the Kardashians. When things get real, you would be better off with those of us who remember the 50s and can actually do something. You could learn from us.

          • Vicky, eisen is a troll. Trolls don’t have the ability to learn anything useful.

            • Im not a troll.

        • Wow! Hitler would be SO proud of you!

        • White people are already down to 1 child per family. We’re going extinct by birth control.

        • gonna be some mighty birth defects among the sun worshippers on the west coast over the next couple of decades.

        • eisencunt, thanks for taking some time off from yer walmart job…here’s a few suggestions for you, if you should find a conscience and think about doing away with yourself. yer welcome in advance, no need to thank me….BTW, obammy, if you are listenin’, same goes for you.
gulp every last pill in your medicine cabinet
lite up a cigarette and try to chew your tongue off with a mouthful of gasoline
drink a gallon of turpentine and piss on a brushfire
put your dick in a blenderful of peppers
dive headfirst into a barrel of pigsnot
brush yer teeth with a chainsaw
go to the zoo and put yer hand in a polar bear’s cage

      15. Maybe we won’t be hearing about this much longer. Why?
        .
        .
Giant sunspot AR1944 erupted on Jan 7th at approximately 1832 UT, producing a powerful X1-class solar flare. First-look coronagraph images from the STEREO-Ahead spacecraft appear to show a coronal mass ejection (CME) emerging from the blast site. If so, the CME is almost certainly heading for Earth. Stay tuned for updates as more data arrive from the NASA-ESA Heliophysics Fleet.

      16. Those nukes worry me. Ill admit I don’t know very much about them. If I where more knowledgable maybe they wouldn’t seem so scary? Any road im all for population reduction if we only eliminate the oxygen thieving parasite takers. We have far too many parasite takers and too few producing makers.

        • Lets start with the mouth breathers in DC .

          • Hammer head. Ive often wondered how we let a mere 535 elected officials do the things they get away with. I finally decided that those elected officials are doing exactly what the majority of voters want them to do. The majority want money voted from the public coffers and given to them. The majority actually like the way the country is headed. As long as they can get their perks & freebees they will be happy. Any fiscally responsible person cant get elected. the taking parasites have a majority so they think it a democracy . They think the counstition is out dated and believe we no longer have a republic.

        • yuuup! radiation and INFLATION! can’t see ’em, but bet yer AS, if you ignore them, they won’t ignore YOU!

          • ASS,…sorry folks. i can’t spell during the day…i went to NIGHT school.

        • NinaO, how about we send the trolls to Japan?

        • Hey, stop with all the links already.

      17. Keep your eyes on Israel and the building of the third temple…trust in God and do not worry about tomorrow.

        • The third temple will most likely be built during the reign of the antichrist when he signs a 7 year treaty with Israel.

          • I have been reading more about all the artifacts they are collecting for this temple…have been watching this since I was a teenager back in the 70’s…

I believe Christ is coming soon…still, this is hard when our daughter told us she is expecting in August and lives far away in the southwest…it should be an exciting time and yet the future is bleak. I have to trust God every single day that he will look after all of us, no matter what our circumstances. She knows I am a watcher but I have not talked doom and gloom with her because I don’t feel lead to…take one day at a time. I think we can get too bogged down in all the doom scenerios. I pray that we can all escape the time of trial that will come upon the earth, as Jesus instructed me to do this. One day we will wake up and the powder keg will have exploded. Countrymom, I heard that the blood moon thing was not true…do you have a link where I could read more?

        • We’ve got an important blood moon in 14 weeks.

          Keep preppin’

      18. Don’t worry about anything. The government knows what’s best for us and we trust them implicitly because WE know that THEY would *never* lie to us or do anything that would cause harm to us. They simply raised the level of what amount of radiation is acceptable for human consumption and exposure.
Please note the extreme sarcasm here.

      19. Not this crap aging . This could equal y2k

      20. The media and government’s near silence on Fukushima tells all you need to know. The drug and medical establishment will make big bucks on cancer for everybody, like the insurance haul under the ACA. They are ongoing to radiate the fuck out of we American’s. BigB…you got it right. IMO This nuclear fallout may be a planned event, added to a long list of false flag events perpetrated by our own government. Eisenkreuz, you are so government elitist sounding, wanting to kill off people who worked their entire lives to enjoy a meager, yet comfortable senior retirement. That thinking enacted would make your potential longevity subject to anyone’s whims. It is a non caring, I me mine sign of the times attitude. Good luck, because you’ll need it to survive.

      21. Here are some things you can take that tend to bind to radiation and move it out of your system: selenium and bentonite clay. You can take it every day without destroying your thyroid.

      22. A Radiation Protection Measure

So here is an alternate way to protect yourself: Get some simple, good ole Betadine from the drug store. This is the same stuff that is used topically to disinfect skin around wounds, prior to surgery, etc. It is still available at most drug stores. DO NOT DRINK IT!! It is not safe for anything other than topical application. It is poisonous to drink !

However, when painted onto the skin, a significant amount of the iodine in it is absorbed right through the skin. Here is the recommendation: For an adult, assuming you have the most standard Betadine, which is about a 2% tincture of iodine, measure out about 8 milliliters. One measuring teaspoon such as those used for measuring when cooking is approximately 5 milliliters, or ml. So you will need a little more than one and one half such measuring teaspoons of the Betadine. Paint the entire amount onto the abdomen and allow it to dry. The amount of iodine that will be absorbed through the skin will be just about right. Repeat this for up to 3 doses, separated by 24 hours.

For children and/or very small adults, reduce the amount of Betadine used. The cutoff point for the 8 ml amount is 130 to 150 pounds. If much less than that, reduce the amount of Betadine proportionally.
Also, there are other brands of iodine-based topical disinfectant. Some have different amounts of iodine and use different concentrations. If you cannot get the 2% Betadine, or other 2% tincture, you will have to adjust the amount applied accordingly.

        • Old Vet.

Make sure you are not allergic to iodine. Good info.

      23. Yes, it’s bad for those who live in the area and those who were exposed to high levels of radiation. Including homeless people the Yakuza forced to go work there. What can’t be confirmed are the wild stories that the Pacific Ocean is dying and everyone living in the northern hemisphere is doomed.

      24. My wife blew me off Saturday while we were outside playing in the snow with our 19 month old daughter. I kept her from eating the snow. Now I don’t really know if it has been contaminated but why take the chance. Actually I like to take fresh snow, pack it in a cup and pour pop on it and make a slushy. Haven’t done that in a couple years now. And yes I know regular snow is polluted, but I’m not eating radioactive snow! Also haven’t had tuna since 2011. I wish I had a Geiger counter to see if my concerns are rationalized.

        • N. Rockwell, go to http://www.ki4u.com. In addition to potassium iodide, they also sell Geiger counters, and have a ton of good, reliable information on radiation. I’ve dealt with them before and they’re the real deal. they were one of the few voices back before Y2K warning about nuclear terrorism, the missing ‘suitcase nukes’, etc. they really know their business.

      25. FEMA is controlling all info on Fukishima and the radiation. That is their assignment. What is the name of the head of FEMA?

      27. can someone please provide good evidence on sea life dying in pacific ocean…pictures, videos would be nice. until then, I will take all this as insufficient evidence.

        • ANCHORAGE — In the past two weeks, 9 polar bears in the southern Beaufort Sea region near Barrow were observed with alopecia, or loss of fur, and other skin lesions. The animals were otherwise healthy in appearance and behavior. The cause and significance of the observed lesions are unknown. Alopecia has been reported in both wild and captive animals in the past. U.S. Geological Survey scientists have collected blood and tissues samples from afflicted polar bears to investigate the cause of the symptoms and determine whether there is any relationship between the symptoms observed in polar bears and those reported for arctic pinnipeds from the same geographical region earlier this year.

Research scientists with the USGS made the observations at the start of their 2012 field-work season. USGS observes polar bears annually in the southern Beaufort Sea region as part of a long-term research program. This bear population ranges from Barrow in Alaska east to the Tuktoyuktuk region of Canada.

Observations last summer of unusual numbers of ringed seals hauled out on beaches along the Arctic coast of Alaska, and later on, of dead and dying seals with hair loss and skin sores, led to declaration of an Unusual Mortality Event by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on December 20, 2011. Based on observations of Pacific walruses with similar skin lesions at a coastal haulout in the same region during fall, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service joined the UME investigation. Most walruses exhibiting skin lesions appeared to be otherwise healthy, and whether the symptoms observed in the seals and walruses are related is unknown.

      29. As far as Potassium Iodide pills go, they have a very limited use and application.

        1. They only ‘block’ radioactive iodine. You take the KI pills ‘in advance’ to be absorbed by the thyroid, so that the radioactive iodine is not readily absorbed.

        2. There is an age limit to the overall effectiveness of KI pills. Younger people (children in particular) are vulnerable to the effects of ionizing radiation. Folks over 40-50 need not even need worry about KI and protecting the thyroid. Your body is not as young and susceptible to the effects.

        3. Taking KI pills does have side effects, some of them worse than the issue at stake. Like any pill, there is always a nasty downside.

        4. KI pills *only* protect you from radioactive iodine, which has a very short half-life (8-10 days). The KI pills will NOT protect you from gamma rays or other forms of radiation- like Cesium or Strontium…period.

As far as food goes, being at the top of the food chain, maybe a downfall in this case. As smaller creatures or plants absorb radiation, it bio-accumulates and passes onto the next organism that eats it. As you go higher up the chain, the more dose you get.

The major, major problem with this scenario of course is that of Phytoplankton. These micro-algae are the very base of the marine animal food chain and inhabit the upper sunlit layer of almost all oceans and bodies of fresh water. Being so close to the upper layers of bodies of water means they get the fallout particles first. Krill and other small creatures eat the plankton and so on and so forth.

Other land based-foods such as mushrooms and many fruits and vegetables are porous and readily absorb externally and via nutrient uptake in root systems.

Pretty sure that Oppenheimer and Einstein were right…Pandora’s box will never be closed… till it closes on us.

      30. Ok off topic. This is an old story rehashed, but I wanted to share…

On Saturday, USMC Staff Sgt. Jason Rogers, who was killed in action in Afghanistan April 7, was buried in Brandon, Mississippi…Why weren’t there protestors?

Planning ahead by the locals, as it turns out.

From an Ole Miss sports message board, a tidbit of information…

A couple of days before, one of them (Westboro protestors) ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his arse waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.

Rankin County handled this thing perfectly. There were many things that were put into place that most will never know about and at great expense to the county.

Most of the morons never made it out of their hotel parking lot. It seems that certain Rankin county pickup trucks were parked directly behind any car that had Kansas plates in the hotel parking lot and the drivers mysteriously disappeared until after the funeral was over. Police were called but their wrecker service was running behind and it was going to be a few hours before they could tow the trucks so the Kansas plated cars could get out.

A few made it to the funeral but were ushered away to be questioned about a crime they might have possibly been involved in. Turns out, after a few hours of questioning, that they were not involved and they were allowed to go on about their business.

        • The radiation is going to be here for a very long time. It’s not just going to go away. Can’t take iodine every day either. I don’t see how this is going to work. Plant and animal life will be affected for a long time too, as well as our soil. Until they fix those reactors, the radiation is going to keep coming toward us.

Perhaps this is the time to get into survival mode, close the gate and survive on what food I’ve prepped. I don’t know.

          • those of us with food we been collecting for YEARS are looking pretty good right now. i got LOTS of stuff pre-fuuuukyousheema. wish i knew if NOW was the right time to eat ONLY those? maybe it was caldicott said a few months ago you should be going to wholesale grocery outlets to look for OLDER canned food from grocery stores that had gone out of bizz. the older the better!

      31. TRN provides on-going alerts and information about Fukushima. The alerts provide specific radiation readings and locations in the US as they come eastward from Japan. There is also other useful info. I believe these folks are sincere and strive to provide timely and factual info.

        I hope this link helps.

        http://www.turnerradionetwork.com/news

      32. How did Busby put it? The high radiation readings on the West coast can’t be accounted for from Fukushima. Somebody might be using this catastrophe as cover to dump other contaminants and waste into the Pacific. Basically there’s probably another source of contamination.

      33. Yawn! Fukushima is a danger to those living in close proximity to it, but NOT to people living across the earth’s largest ocean. Anyone who wants a dose of common sense can get it at http://www.southernfriedscience.com/?p=15903 . Anyone who wants to wallow in hysteria (“through the F*cking Roof”) can continue to read the nonsense posted here.

There are plenty of threats to the lives, safety, well-being, and liberty of Americans. Fukushima isn’t one of them.

        • that guy seems to ME to be sticking with the party line. i just don’t believe him, but i don’t believe all of the pessimists either….wish we had a place we could TRUST with pictures and FACTS. all i know, is the ocean has LOTS of problems these days, and i betcha it’s worse than TPTB are letting on.

      34. I understand that duct tape being used in Fukishima is the exact same tape Obama is using to fix ObunglerCare….

      35. are we sure that that isn’t a gay-dar detector? After all….he’s in San-FAG-cisco….

      36. The media always twist the news to put their perfered spin on it. Just today I read a headline Truck Slides off icy overpass. So I clicked on the article thinking it was a tractor trailer semi. Nope it was a pickup truck driven by a woman. another stated two die on collision with semi! then come to find out the semi was parked not moving no driver even present. the car lost control and jumped the median before hitting the tractor trailer rig. Why? I think because its poltically correct to demonize semi trucks?

      37. If this radiation is not from Fuku, then please explain why someone in Missouri who has been keeping track since this disaster, has been getting high rads from fresh snow fall? I just can’t live in denial any longer. I tried that and it doesn’t work.

      39. the only problem with this article is that it is a pack of absolute lies combined with a smaller amount of misleading statements and 1/4 truths. I doubt that any statement raises to the level of a 1/2 truth.
